Foreign aid has been a pillar of America’s global strategy since the Marshall Plan and Japan’s postwar reconstruction—historic successes that created allies with booming economies. Today, foreign aid spending has surged to heights not seen in decades. But key agencies like USAID have veered off course with pet projects replacing strategic interests. Accountability is virtually non-existent. It’s time for serious reform.
Under the Biden Administration, USAID’s budget exploded, funneling billions to activist NGOs and organizations favored by the progressive wing of the Democratic party. The largest recipients of USAID funding are foreign governments and NGOs—practically guaranteeing minimal oversight and no chance of return on investment.

Vice President-elect JD Vance repeated the phrases "dumpster fire" three times during an interview on "FOX News Sunday" to describe the situation President Biden is leaving for the new administration on spending, debt, inflation, immigration, the border, and more.
"Our number one responsibility is compassion to our fellow Americans. And that starts with enforcing the southern border," Vance said. "If you came into this country illegally, you need to go back home."
"You need to have basic law enforcement," he said. "And what the Democrats are going to do is they're going to hide behind this. They're going to say that this is all about compassion for families. It is not

What was the most under-reported news story during the Biden presidency?
In the last week or so, there has been a sudden burst of recognition of the extent to which Democrats and the media worked together to cover up Biden’s progressing cognitive decline. One media figure after another has come forward to call this the “most under-reported” story of the last year or several years. Some examples among many include: CBS correspondent Jan Crawford on December 30 (“That [the most under-reported story] would be, to me, Joe Biden's obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in a televised debate")

Left-wing media breathlessly reported Wednesday that Associate Justice Samuel Alito provided a job reference on behalf of one of his former clerks to President-elect Donald Trump.
“William Levi, one of my former law clerks, asked me to take a call from President-elect Trump regarding his qualifications to serve in a government position. I agreed to discuss this matter with President-elect Trump, and he called me yesterday afternoon,” Alito told ABC News, which broke the shocking news that an employer gave a job reference for one of his former employees.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) is coming under criticism for being on a trip out of the country as wildfires rip through parts of the Southern California city.
President-elect Trump adviser Richard Grenell ripped Bass for being “in Africa while our city is literally burning to the ground.” RNC Research, an X account managed by Trump’s team and the Republican National Committee, also called out the mayor’s absence. Tech mogul Elon Musk piled on, calling Bass “utterly incompetent,” and Rick Caruso, a real estate developer who ran for mayor in 2022 as a Democrat, called into local television station, pointing out Bass’s absence and saying the city

As Donald Trump re-enters the White House on a pledge to end national security state overreach, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is still hiding critical details on the Russia conspiracy investigation that engulfed his first term.
In response to a Freedom of Information request filed by RealClearInvestigations in August 2022, the FBI on Dec. 31, more than two years later, released a heavily redacted copy of the document that opened an explosive and unprecedented counterintelligence probe of the sitting president as an agent of the Russian government.

With Justin Trudeau’s announcement that he will step down as prime minister, Canada is now looking for a new leader after a decade under his policies. The question is whether anyone will look for the remnants of Canadian free speech in the wreckage of the Trudeau government.
In my book “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage,” I write about the collapse of free speech in Canada under Trudeau. Canada has long been a country caught between two influences: the United Kingdom and the United States. It has shared DNA with both nations. Unfortunately, it has largely followed the

"The Federalist" Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway quipped that Liz Cheney gave a gift to Republicans by "taking her very unpopular, politically toxic, neocon interventionism and moving it from the Republican Party now firmly into the Democrat Party," with FNC's Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures."
MILLE HEMINGWAY: Well, this award to Liz Cheney really is inappropriate. This is a woman who was hand-selected by Nancy Pelosi to run a committee that was extremely one-sided.
Liz Cheney, in the course of running this committee to supposedly investigate the January 6th incident at the capitol, obstructed justice, witness-tampered.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre was among those who reacted to President Biden giving out Presidential Medals of Freedom on Saturday. Biden was scrutinized on social media for handing out the awards to Hillary Clinton and George Soros. Critics pointed out Clinton's handling of the war in Libya and the attack on United States government facilities in Benghazi, Libya, as well as her controversial private email server for government business, which prompted former FBI Director James Comey to say publicly that Clinton had mishandled classified information. The award to Soros, a Democratic megadonor, was slammed based on the billionaire's campaign funding of progressive district attorneys

President Joe Biden rewarded disgraced ex-Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney with one of the nation’s highest civilian honors on Thursday for her work undermining democracy through the illegally established and since-disbanded Jan. 6 Select Committee.
After sources close to Biden recently told The Washington Post he regretted that the Justice Department (DOJ) did not move more aggressively to jail top political opponents, Biden awarded Cheney the Presidential Citizens Medal. He also gave the medal to Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., who chaired the House probe. The Presidential Citizens Medal is second only to the Presidential Medal of Freedom in prestige.

During the Covid-ridden summer of 2020, amid widespread vandalization of public monuments triggered by George Floyd’s killing, President Donald Trump issued an executive order for the creation of a National Garden of American Heroes to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It would feature honorific statues of eminent Americans from varied walks of life. The order was promptly rescinded by President Joe Biden, but after his electoral victory in November Trump promised to reinstate it as a key component of “a most spectacular birthday party.” Where the garden will be located has yet to be announced.

2024 proved to be the year of the reemergence of many once and unfairly pilloried public figures. Elon Musk weathered nonstop attacks on his X social media platform. Furor escalated over his newfound 2024 Trump advocacy—even as he ended 2024 with his iconic Tesla brand still the best-selling car in six states and the most popular electric vehicle in the entire nation. Tesla’s rising stock prices ensured by year’s end that Musk was by far the richest man in the world with a net worth of well over $400 billion. His recyclable SpaceX Super Heavy starship rocket booster mesmerized the nation as it returned
