Why on earth are we still hearing more expressions of empathy for Luigi Mangione, alleged assassin of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, than for his young children left fatherless? Incredibly silly women are fawning over the 26-year-old alleged cold-blooded killer of the CEO and even getting his face tattooed on their bodies as an everlasting memory of their stupidity. Some gays have idolized him as an 'icon,' too. Even jealous Sean Diddy Combs is complaining that Mangione is getting more attention than he is at the correctional center they’re both now imprisoned at.

One suspects he's quite used to them, but even for President-elect Donald Trump, Thursday has been a busy day. While he spent the morning, along with his wife Melania, at the funeral services for former President Jimmy Carter and later in the day announcing additional appointments to his incoming administration, a bevy of legal decisions was being made regarding him. First, the New York Court of Appeals denied his request to stay the sentencing in his Manhattan criminal case (set for Friday morning). Then, the Supreme Court did the same, just as the 11th Circuit denied his co-defendants' efforts to block the release of (former) Special Counsel Jack Smith's "Final Report."

The fires are still going out here in Los Angeles and new ones are emerging tonight, the Sunset fire and now a fire in Studio City, the air smells of fire and smoke, and the only thing worse is the inept local leadership. And the level of ineptitude is truly mindblowing. [SNIP] Wokeness and DEI led to four lesbians, 3 of them named some variation of Kirstin, running one of the nation’s largest fire departments. The LAFD is very diverse. It’s run by lesbians named Kristin.

The entire political leadership in California deserves to be in jail. Okay, maybe that’s too much, but everyone must be fired. As the media focuses on the raging wildfires engulfing Los Angeles County, the lack of water and firefighters, and Mayor Karen Bass being in Africa when the blaze erupted, we have new developments on how this top-down failure in disaster response came about. Bass was already torched for cutting almost $20 million from the Los Angeles Fire Department a few months ago. The city opted to use that money to support transgender cafes, weirdo lefty-wing art, and gay choirs (via Daily Caller):

Plus, she's got the Ivy League DEI certificate, and I don't. I feel so unworthy. Kristine Larson is a 33+ year veteran of the Los Angeles City Fire Department. I’m here in California. I’ve been a lifelong resident of the state, fifth generation to live in the same house. I had a house in the Sierra, and it would almost burn down three years ago during the Aspen Fire, and I’m speaking on the evening when you’ve all heard about the disastrous fire in Los Angeles. As I’m speaking on a Wednesday night, there have been 15,000 acres, 1,000 structures destroyed. Nobody knows how many people are killed or missing. And how do we characterize this? Everybody’s talking about the Santa Ana winds, climate change—I mean everybody, the people in power.
