Left-wing media breathlessly reported Wednesday that Associate Justice Samuel Alito provided a job reference on behalf of one of his former clerks to President-elect Donald Trump. “William Levi, one of my former law clerks, asked me to take a call from President-elect Trump regarding his qualifications to serve in a government position. I agreed to discuss this matter with President-elect Trump, and he called me yesterday afternoon,” Alito told ABC News, which broke the shocking news that an employer gave a job reference for one of his former employees.

Oh, the horror! Democrats are already filing impeachment bills for both Alito and Trump. Obviously, giving a reference is unconstitutional.

Hopefully, Alito will refrain from giving comments to the many Knotseez at ABC News. They are out of get him and DJT.

As Hemingway says, this is particularly ridiculous. A discussion of a former employee's recommendation for a job? On what planet is that anything but perfectly, totally normal?

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) is coming under criticism for being on a trip out of the country as wildfires rip through parts of the Southern California city. President-elect Trump adviser Richard Grenell ripped Bass for being “in Africa while our city is literally burning to the ground.” RNC Research, an X account managed by Trump’s team and the Republican National Committee, also called out the mayor’s absence. Tech mogul Elon Musk piled on, calling Bass “utterly incompetent,” and Rick Caruso, a real estate developer who ran for mayor in 2022 as a Democrat, called into local television station, pointing out Bass’s absence and saying the city

As Donald Trump re-enters the White House on a pledge to end national security state overreach, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is still hiding critical details on the Russia conspiracy investigation that engulfed his first term. In response to a Freedom of Information request filed by RealClearInvestigations in August 2022, the FBI on Dec. 31, more than two years later, released a heavily redacted copy of the document that opened an explosive and unprecedented counterintelligence probe of the sitting president as an agent of the Russian government.

With Justin Trudeau’s announcement that he will step down as prime minister, Canada is now looking for a new leader after a decade under his policies. The question is whether anyone will look for the remnants of Canadian free speech in the wreckage of the Trudeau government. In my book “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage,” I write about the collapse of free speech in Canada under Trudeau. Canada has long been a country caught between two influences: the United Kingdom and the United States. It has shared DNA with both nations. Unfortunately, it has largely followed the

"The Federalist" Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway quipped that Liz Cheney gave a gift to Republicans by "taking her very unpopular, politically toxic, neocon interventionism and moving it from the Republican Party now firmly into the Democrat Party," with FNC's Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures." MILLE HEMINGWAY: Well, this award to Liz Cheney really is inappropriate. This is a woman who was hand-selected by Nancy Pelosi to run a committee that was extremely one-sided. Liz Cheney, in the course of running this committee to supposedly investigate the January 6th incident at the capitol, obstructed justice, witness-tampered.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre was among those who reacted to President Biden giving out Presidential Medals of Freedom on Saturday. Biden was scrutinized on social media for handing out the awards to Hillary Clinton and George Soros. Critics pointed out Clinton's handling of the war in Libya and the attack on United States government facilities in Benghazi, Libya, as well as her controversial private email server for government business, which prompted former FBI Director James Comey to say publicly that Clinton had mishandled classified information. The award to Soros, a Democratic megadonor, was slammed based on the billionaire's campaign funding of progressive district attorneys

President Joe Biden rewarded disgraced ex-Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney with one of the nation’s highest civilian honors on Thursday for her work undermining democracy through the illegally established and since-disbanded Jan. 6 Select Committee. After sources close to Biden recently told The Washington Post he regretted that the Justice Department (DOJ) did not move more aggressively to jail top political opponents, Biden awarded Cheney the Presidential Citizens Medal. He also gave the medal to Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., who chaired the House probe. The Presidential Citizens Medal is second only to the Presidential Medal of Freedom in prestige.

During the Covid-ridden summer of 2020, amid widespread vandalization of public monuments triggered by George Floyd’s killing, President Donald Trump issued an executive order for the creation of a National Garden of American Heroes to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It would feature honorific statues of eminent Americans from varied walks of life. The order was promptly rescinded by President Joe Biden, but after his electoral victory in November Trump promised to reinstate it as a key component of “a most spectacular birthday party.” Where the garden will be located has yet to be announced.

Tesla’s rising stock prices ensured by year’s end that Musk was by far the richest man in the world with a net worth of well over $400 billion. President Biden's jab at President-elect Donald Trump that he could learn about "decency" from the late Jimmy Carter didn’t play well with conservatives online. Carter died on Sunday at the age of 100 as the longest-living American president in history. When a reporter asked Biden what Trump should take from Carter's legacy, Biden replied, "Decency." "Decency, decency, decency," Biden said. "Can you imagine Jimmy Carter walking by someone who needed something and just keep walking? Can you imagine Jimmy Carter referring to someone by the way they look or the way they talk?"

What a year it was! My first column of 2024 declared it “The Year of Trump,” and there was never a dull moment as Donald Trump aimed not just to take back the White House, but to stay out of prison and ultimately to stay alive. So let’s consider Trump’s Top 10 best moves in the most consequential election of our lifetimes. It could easily be the Top 100, but that would be bragging.

Los Angeles' budget is in the spotlight as multiple wildfires rage around the city amid revelations that Mayor Karen Bass slashed the fire department's budget last year while prioritizing spending on the city's homeless population. For the 2023-2024 fiscal year, Los Angeles budgeted $837 million for the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), which was roughly 65% the size of the homeless budget of $1.3 billion. An analysis by L.A.'s city comptroller last year found that roughly half the budget for homelessness went unspent.

Joe Biden is mentally cooked and almost out the door, but he had to do what presidents do during these natural disasters. The wildfires engulfing Los Angeles County is the second inferno Biden has dealt with. He led Maui burn to the ground and took his sweet time visiting the island, whose residents endured the worst wildfire seen in almost a century. The president was briefed on the raging wildfires that have so far killed at least two people, destroyed over 1,000 buildings, forced 70,000 from their homes, and charred close to 30,000 acres. None of the fires have been contained (via CBS News):

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass became stone-faced when confronted by a reporter as she returned to America to find her city burning Wednesday. “Do you owe citizens and apology for being absent while their homes were burning, and do you regret cutting the Fire Department budget by millions of dollars madame mayor?” Sky News reporter David Blevins asked as Bass waited to deplane. “Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today?” he added. (Photos) Bass — standing a few feet away on the plane’s ramp as she awaited clearance to leave — stared blankly as Belvins questioned her, refusing to provide an answer or even acknowledge his presence.

Earlier today when I wrote about the wildfires I mentioned that there were reports the hydrants were simply running dry, leaving firefighters no way to battle the flames. FIle this next clip under "too good to check" but apparently this morning one local LA anchor tried to discount what Caruso was saying only to have a reporter contradict him a minute later. That knee-jerk urge to contradict whatever criticism Democrats are getting is one surefire way the media consistently sets its own credibility on fire. By this afternoon,
