NEW ORLEANS - Authorities held a press conference Thursday morning (Jan. 2), providing updates on the Bourbon Street terror attack that claimed the lives of 14 victims and injured 35 others early New Year’s Day.
FBI Deputy Director Christopher Raia confirmed that 14 victims died in the attack, along with the suspect, Shamsud Din Jabbar, bringing the total to 15 fatalities.
“This was a premeditated, evil act,” Raia told reporters. Officials revealed that Jabbar posted five videos between 1:20 a.m. and 3:02 a.m. on New Year’s Day, proclaiming support for ISIS.
In the first video, Raia says Jabbar expressed a desire to kill his friends and family, but ultimately desired

Mass murdering terrorist Shamsud Din Jabbar.
I'm waiting for Kareem to become Lew Alcindor again.
What do you think?

No fan of the FBI, but this is probably correct. Not anything complex and required to assistance.

That's the FBI's story. Do I believe them . . . No! Truth be told I don't know who to believe, nor what. I have eyes and ears, they work pretty good. They do not lie to me.

“Acted alone” but is supported by, in league and planned with, ISIS.

#3 could very well be correct; but.....the corrupt actions of the FBI during the past few years not to mention Wray's chosen tendency to obfuscate when before any committee where he's questioned makes it extremely difficult to believe ANYTHING that the FBI may report.
If they are bothered by that, they should remember that they brought it on themselves.
Right now I'm following advice from #1 except I would cut that grain in half.

It could have been worse. The wizard investigators at the FBI could have reported that he had ties to a local Evangelical Christian Church or a synagogue, and probably wish that he did.

Put your hands up if you trust anything the FBI has to say. It took a lot for them to lose the publics trust but they did.

He acted alone but four other people planted bombs in the area before the attack?
Nah, I don't think so... That's not alone, it's not independent.
Also, we need to hire some folks with working frontal lobes to work for the FBI.

They are lying, again.
This is FBI Theater similar to the Oklahoma City bombing. We have at least two, maybe three intelligence agencies going rogue. FBI, CIA & ATF.
Trump needs to clean house.

The loose-knit semi-autonomy of sleeper cells makes them appear to act alone, although they are more together on outlook and overall strategy than a lot of armies are. Kind of like a flash mob military. I'm not convinced that we can rule out collaboration and coordination, yet.

Why should I believe the FBI? I have no trust in that agency anymore. We are a long way from Efrem Zimbalist Jr. and his FBI.

A two-day investigation arrives at that conclusion? Even if the FBI were honest and competent, that's a bit premature.
How can they say he was alone when he had sheep and goats for company?

FTA, the story headline - "FBI: Bourbon Street attacker acted alone,
‘evil act’ kills 14"
This means that Jabbar did not act alone.

I think that Lee Alcindor was better than Jabbar. Same for Cassius Clay.
One wants to believe the FIB but I saw on the TV the young DEI woman speaking on their behalf. At this rate the FBI, Secret Service, and CIA are going to get someone killed.
