President-elect Donald Trump’s team is reportedly floating the idea of shaking up the White House press briefing room. As expected, members of the press are already whining about it.Team Trump is looking at replacing legacy media outlets in the briefing room’s front rows to make room for independent news organizations, at least some of which might be friendlier to the incoming administration, according to The Hill.
People close to Trump have said in recent days he should dramatically change who gets access to the president, suggesting podcasters, internet personalities and media deemed more friendly to him could replace outlets like the major television networks,

There are a few calendar dates that are burned into the American psyche. Some endure for good and happy reasons. Everybody knows why we celebrate July 4 and December 25. Both are part of our national identity as a free nation, the freest on Earth, founded in the Judeo-Christian tradition. Others endure for tragic reasons. November 22 saw the assassination of a president and, days later, his alleged killer, much of it brought directly into our living rooms as the first (and only) such event during the television age. September 11 was a horrifying example of murder brought about by men who hated America simply for being America.

Republican Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) is raising concerns that certain establishment GOP lawmakers may quietly undermine President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda despite publicly claiming to support it. As Trump gears up for another four years in the White House, Roy fears some of his colleagues, particularly those with strong ties to the D.C. establishment, will work behind the scenes to thwart his policies or derail his efforts. The Texas representative’s warnings reflect a broader anxiety within the GOP about the deepening divide between the incoming Trump Administration and those deep inside the swamp. In addition to Roy, others also fear these Republicans may prioritize their political futures.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz lamented losing the 2024 race for the first time in a series of local media interviews this week, with the Democrat admitting he was a “little surprised” that he and Vice President Kamala Harris were defeated.
“It felt like at the rallies, at the things I was going to, the shops I was going in, that the momentum was going our way, and it obviously wasn’t at the end,” Walz told KSTP.
“So yeah, I was a little surprised. I thought we had a positive message, and I thought the country was ready for that.” (Photo) The Minnesotan’s assessment cuts against that of several Harris campaign aides,

White House reporters fumed at Karine Jean-Pierre for repeatedly lying about the Hunter Biden pardon during an absolutely brutal press briefing.
Last Sunday Joe Biden issued a full and unconditional pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, absolving him of any federal crimes committed between 2014 and 2024.
Hunter was facing federal tax fraud charges in California and felony gun charges in Delaware.
Joe Biden gave his son a blanket pardon after repeatedly claiming he wouldn’t.

Washington— President-elect Donald Trump on Friday offered a public show of support for Pete Hegseth, his embattled choice to lead the Defense Department, whose confirmation by the Senate is in doubt as he faces questions over allegations of excessive drinking, sexual assault and his views on women in combat.
Hegseth, a former Fox News Host, Army National Guard major and combat veteran, spent much of the week on Capitol Hill trying to salvage his Cabinet nomination and privately reassure Republican senators that he is fit to lead Trump’s Pentagon.
“Pete Hegseth is doing very well,” Trump posted on his social media site. “He will be a fantastic, high energy, Secretary of Defense.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocaio-Cortez (D-NY) hopes to become the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, as current Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) looks to lead Democrats on the Judiciary Committee.
On Friday, Ocasio-Cortez launched her candidacy to become the Oversight Committee’s ranking member, writing a letter to fellow House Democrats asking for their support, as Axios first reported. “I write to you today to seek your support to serve as Ranking Member of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability in the 119th Congress,” she wrote.

The hunt for Brian Thompson's killer continues on its third day, as the NYPD reportedly believes the gunman has left New York City.
Thompson, 50, was gunned down in the early hours of Wednesday as he was on his way to an investor conference at the New York Hilton.
His unidentified assassin remains on the loose but cops have released a photo of him smiling and have searched a Manhattan hostel where he's believed to have stayed. Officials have also said they obtained a DNA swap for a water bottle possibly dropped by the killer, who has not yet been identified.
On Friday evening the NYPD managed to recover

Federal authorities have arrested a leftist Democratic city councilwoman in Boston after being accused of defrauding the city and giving kickbacks to a family member on her staff.
Tania Fernandes Anderson, who immigrated to the U.S. illegally from Cape Verde, was charged by the Justice Department with five counts of wire fraud and one count of stealing federal funds, including a charge for providing a $13,000 bonus to an unnamed relative she employed at city hall. The two allegedly shared the money.
“The charges stem from an alleged kickback scheme she orchestrated to obtain several thousand dollars in taxpayer money

The Democratic Party is the party of hate. They look at middle- and working-class Americans and see “garbage” and “deplorables,” words that President Biden and Madame Hilary used. On November 4, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough trashed Trump voters, asking, “Who are these people...who raised them?”
Mr. Scarborough, let me tell you who raised me.
My parents came to this country in 1948. They were Polish Jews who survived Hitler’s Holocaust. They did not know each other when they arrived in the United States.
When my father was fourteen, he was imprisoned in a Nazi slave labor camp for the sole crime of being a Jew.

Liberal media outlets have recently turned their focus to smearing President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, devoting significant time and energy to criticizing his casual beer-drinking habits, calling it “jarring.” What should have been a celebratory moment for Hegseth and his family receiving the nomination from Trump has been blown out of proportion, with the left seizing on every opportunity to attack Hegseth for something so trivial. This relentless focus on his personal choices appears less about holding him accountable for any meaningful actions and more about attempting to discredit him through manufactured outrage to undermine Trump’s future cabinet.

The top manslaughter charge against Daniel Penny was thrown out Friday, with the jury to return next week to debate a lesser alternative, negligent homicide.
It’s an embarrassing defeat for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who never should have brought charges against former Marine Daniel Perry in the first place.
But it’s not the first time Bragg has failed his office. Indeed, since Day 1, the district attorney has been a walking disaster for the city.
He needs to go.
Consider: Violent crime is up and continues to rise, and his “Day 1” promises to “make us safer” by reducing enforcement and punishment have backfired spectacularly.
