Trump reiterates: There will be blood

Six months ago, Donald Trump presented us all with a Rorschach test by predicting a “bloodbath” if he loses the 2024 election. “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s going to be the least of it,” Trump said while discussing the economy and his tariff plan. “It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.” Those on the left largely took Trump literally, citing how his supporters have risen up violently before, on Jan. 6, 2021. Those on the right argued that Trump was just speaking figuratively. The latter said he was talking about a metaphorical bloodbath.

This from the Washington Post? FTA: Trump said Saturday in Wisconsin that cracking down on undocumented immigrants would be a “bloody story.” He referred to the recent sensational claims about a Venezuelan street gang taking over an apartment complex in a Denver suburb. (Police say this has not happened.) The police and the Post are wrong. It's happening, isn't it, Obammy? And it will only get worse if the Marxocrats take over our nation, as intended. MAGA Vet.

If he appears to be suggesting "bloodbaths" that means he can't resist giving the impression that this election is some kind of cheesy reality show spectacle. That kind of talk might drive ratings but it certainly will not win elections---true or not.

Boy, they just can't resist pulling up these hoaxes again and again. The "bloodbath" hoax, and "his supporters have risen up violently before, on January 6, 2021." The only real violence was against Trump supporters, not perpetrated by them. This is pure propaganda and despicable. Unfortunately, WaPo readers will fall for it.

So if I go through things that Kamala has said and pick out just two or three words from a few sentences can those be used as headlines to make her look like a warmonger and sadistic killer? Picking and choosing select words and phrases without presenting the full conversation or context of the conversation is just a Democrat tactic tantamount to lying. While a common tactic used by both Democrats and their lapdog media friends, picking out a word or two and broadcasting it is dishonest and lazy but effective to their gullible low information audience.

Can these people really be so ignorant, or are they all deliberately complicit? The bloodbath that will encompass America will not come at the hands of Trump, and Trump supporters. It will come as a result of all of the godless evil set in place to destroy her if he does not win. How much destruction do we have to see and endure under the ungodly leadership of those who are working to complete the fundamental transformation from a Rule of Law grounded in godly precepts and principles? If that transformation were to be completed, does history not tell us of the metaphorical, as well as real, bloodbaths that always follow to get rid of those who pose a potential threat to totalitarian power? Too many people don’t know what totalitarianism is, or what happens if the will isn’t bent to its ungodly rule. Some are apparently incapable of distinguishing lies from truth. (They say Trump is the threat to America, but he didn’t use his power to do to them what they have done, and tried to do, to him. What more proof is needed of the very real threat to our freedoms, by those who are bloodthirsty enough to carry it out? As Trump said, WE are the ones they truly want destroyed. He is just in the way.) Pray for good to prevail! My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. - Hosea 4:6

The Biden administration's scheme to threaten the public with tightened gun-control regulations by reinterpreting laws to mean what they never meant in the past is running into some speed bumps. Stumbling over one of those obstacles is an attempt by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to define unfinished firearm frames and receivers—functionally, paperweights—as firearms for the purpose of regulating homemade "ghost guns."

You know insurrection is a crime, right? Just to recap, under Section 2383 of the federal criminal code, a person is guilty of a felony, punishable by up to ten years’ imprisonment, if he incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto. And why do we need a refresher on this? Because the Department of Justice has been investigating Donald Trump and the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot for nearly three years, yet no insurrection charges have ever been brought against Trump or anyone else.

Some ideas are so terrible that combining them into a cocktail of awfulness makes rotten sense. So it is with gun control and qualified immunity: Why not mix impunity for violating basic rights with denial of a specific right so as to maximize the harm? At least, that's the inspiration that struck two law professors who propose qualified immunity for enforcing even overtly unconstitutional gun control measures. While the duo sees the idea as much as a means of weakening officials' protections from liability as for promoting restrictions on private arms, it's a dangerous innovation that could entrench authoritarianism.

A couple of years ago, an "80 percent" receiver I purchased refused to accept parts, let alone chamber and fire cartridges, until my son and I drilled and milled it to completion; that's because unfinished firearms are not firearms. For a long time, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) agreed. But, pressured by the Biden administration, the ATF tried to extend firearms regulations to a lot of things that aren't guns but could, with work, become one. Now a federal judge is injecting some sense, ruling in a lawsuit that bureaucrats can't just decide that inert objects are guns.

Believe it or not, people are reluctant to tell total strangers about their potentially controversial activities. In particular, Rutgers University researchers say, gun ownership is something many Americans decline to reveal when questioned by people they don't know. That's especially true of women and minorities newly among the ranks of gun owners amidst the chaos of recent years. Academics are unhappy that privacy-minded respondents impair their understanding of the world we live in, but such evasion is an inevitable consequence of decades of fiery debate and punitive gun policies.

Gavin Newsom is proposing a "28th Amendment" that would "permanently enshrine" those policies in the U.S. Constitution. This transparently partisan publicity stunt is wholly impractical and raises more questions than it answers. But Newsom's pitch for it nicely illustrates the dishonesty, emotionalism, divisive rhetoric, illogic, and magical thinking of politicians who promise that their half-baked gun control schemes will rescue America from fear of deadly violence.

Donald Trump got to Kamala Harris’ core problem in his debate close, waving off all her promises about what she’d do in office: “Why hasn’t she done it already?” Hard to think of a better riposte to her “We won’t go back” slogan — which aims to appeal to Americans’ desperate desire for change from the Biden policies she shares. Harris had a pretty smooth night: She did her homework for once, including prepping lines guaranteed to get under Trump’s skin — some of which plainly did put him off-balance. And of course she had backup from the moderators, ABC’s David Muir and Linsey Davis —
