Vice President Kamala Harris’ much-anticipated CNN interview on Thursday did not go as she would have hoped, at least according to presidential election oddsmakers.
Newsweek reported, “The vice president went from being the favorite to win with odds of 10/11 (52.4 percent) on Thursday to tied with Donald Trump on 19/20 (51.3 percent) each on Friday morning, according to the Star Sports betting company.”
“Over the same period, Trump’s odds of victory in November improved from 21/20 (48.8 percent) before the interview to 20/21 (51.2 percent), according to U.K. based bookmaker Betfair,” the outlet noted.

Democrat vice presidential nominee Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz argued for using algae to power the United States Navy as part of his efforts to fight climate change, claiming that sustainable energy solutions are crucial for military resilience.
During a debate with his then-opponent, Republican Jim Hagedorn, in Winona, Minnesota, in 2016, Walz spoke of the growing recognition that climate change is a pressing concern that cannot be ignored. While noting that the nation’s armed forces can adopt new eco-friendly resources, Walz insisted that “the Pentagon is not a bunch of green tree-huggers.”

Even as the Kamala Harris team is trying to sell us on the "joy" of the cackle (as opposed to how wacky it truly is), they themselves are reportedly a tension wracked group of folks, struggling to figure out who's doing what. It has Harris loyalists and Biden alumni grafter on top of Biden people, as Fox's Peter Doocy dished, with people leaking about the issues. It's the "Frankenstein" team. (Video) As Axios reported:
New people are remaking the campaign on the fly. The result is a large and at times unwieldy team, with internal worries about cohesiveness when inevitable stumbles arise,

Prior to CNN’s Thursday interview with the Democratic ticket of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, we suggested 30 questions that Dana Bash might ask the duo in their much-hyped first interview. But when it came time to sit down to talk in Savannah, Bash only asked five of them.
Bash did manage to ask Harris about her fracking flip-flop, “Do you still want to ban fracking?... In 2019, I believe in a town hall, you said -- you were asked, would you commit to implementing a federal ban on fracking on your first day in office? And you said: There's no question I'm in favor of banning fracking. So, yes.

A breath-taking city in western Maryland is offering $20,000 to 10 homeowners who agree to relocate there, with the only catch being that they're willing to invest in their property and become a part of the community.

Social media, books, movies, news—my universe of media options has decreased dramatically and I’m pretty hacked off about it.
Once, on a transcontinental flight, I sat next to a Brit who I asked, upon noticing his accent, “Are you from England?” He answered in the affirmative, and added, much to my delight, “And how are you enjoying your independence?”
It’s a uniquely American sport to tease our English brothers and sisters as being hopelessly unfamiliar with liberty, but now it’s not so funny, is it? The recent crack down on wrong-think in the U.K. diminishes us all. Who knows what we’ve missed? What thoughts, pictures, images we’ve been deprived of because of

President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate Joe Goffman to lead the EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation on March 8, 2022. That same day, Goffman wrote to Rich Gold, a major Democratic donor and Holland & Knight lobbyist who represents clients including the American Chemistry Council, oil and gas companies, and the timber industry, to thank him.
“It’s live,” Goffman said of the job announcement, text messages reviewed by The Daily Wire show. “Will I ever be able to thank you enough?”
“Gotta get good people in these jobs,” the lobbyist said. “And need to chat next steps.”

Republicans believe former President Donald Trump made the right choice in picking Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance to be his running mate as the campaign enters the fourth quarter of the election season.
Through the final weeks of August, Vance has spent his time on the campaign trail, sparring with hostile media and drawing contrast to Vice President Kamala Harris as she dodges the media. Prior though, Vance was fighting a barrage of Democratic attacks that branded him as “weird” for past statements.
Republicans and campaign officials expressed satisfaction with Vance’s performance in conversations with the Daily Caller.

Experts are warning against Vice President Kamala Harris’ proposed tax strategy, which they say would threaten the future of the United States economically. Recently, Harris’ campaign confirmed that the Democratic presidential nominee supports a $5 trillion tax increase, among a long list of other tax hikes, to the unrealized gains of wealthy Americans. Economic advisors caution that such a move would be a financial calamity, resulting in the most significant tax increase the U.S. has seen in over 40 years.
Harris’s 28 percent federal corporate tax rate and 44.6 percent top capital gains and dividend tax rate would give the United States

The Trump-Vance campaign rolled out a brutal new ad in response to Vice President Kamala Harris’s first sit-down interview since taking the top spot on the Democratic Party ticket. As Matt and Sarah covered, the interview was a train wreck, though it went as expected.
In a statement, the Trump-Vance campaign identified what the vice president didn’t discuss with CNN, including the nation’s crime crisis, her support for ending cash bail, defunding the police, Medicare-for-All, closing immigration detention centers, reparations, her vote for the American Rescue Plan, which fueled inflation, among other issues. “Kamala said her values ‘have not changed’ three separate times,” the statement noted. “She’s still

Oprah Winfrey claims Vice President Kamala Harris is “no longer hiding in plain sight” after her recorded interview with CNN in which she had her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as her chaperone, adding that Harris’s avoidance of the media is simply something that women do to make themselves “smaller, narrower, and dimmer.”
Speaking to Variety at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, Winfrey claimed that Harris has gone from “hiding in plain sight” as presidential candidate to “stepping into the true vision of herself,” following her recorded interview with CNN.

Now we see why the Dems didn't want Kamala Harris as their nominee.
Four weeks into campaigning, she finally granted an interview — to a very friendly CNN, toting her VP pick Tim Walz along for reasons unknown.
Moral support, perhaps? A buddy to pick up her verbal slack? Either way, it wasn't a winning look for someone who wants to be president of the United States.
As for her answers: Harris was vague, policy-free, and at times just plain full of it.
