Call it the gift that keeps on giving. Israel stunned the world and humiliated the Iranians in killing Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh this week while a guest in Tehran for the presidential inauguration. The explanation of how they carried out the precision bombing rattled the Iranians even more. The Mossad penetrated the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's most trusted protective service, hiring more than one of their agents to plant that bomb as well as others in a compound considered the most secure in Tehran: The Telegraph [link here, paywalled -- Ed] cited two Iranian officials as saying that the initial plan was to assassinate Haniyeh when he was in Tehran

Step One: Blow up a big terrorist leader. Step Two: Leak that you used a planted bomb to do it. Step Three: Laugh your butt off as they kill each other and you go and congratulate the F-35 pilot who ACTUALLY wiped out the vermin. Step Four: Count the number of Iranian insiders that get whacked by the crazy untrusting clowns, killing their own 'best buddies'.

It's rage and fear-inducing when you can't trust your own security people. Unfortunately, the United States has the same problem.

This should not come as news, nor should it be particularly surprising. We all know how desperate the Democrats are to prevent former President Donald Trump from returning to the White House and to get him out if he does. We now have footage of Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) explaining how Dems will cite Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to justify Trump's removal, fully accepting that it could lead to a civil war. I could not find a date for the video, but it was posted to X just hours ago

NEW YORK — A scary Monday that started with a plunge abroad reminiscent of 1987 ’s crash swept around the world and pummeled Wall Street with more steep losses, as fears worsened about a slowing U.S. economy. The S&P 500 dropped 3% for its worst day in nearly two years. The Dow Jones Industrial Average reeled by 1,033 points, or 2.6%, while the Nasdaq composite slid 3.4% as Apple, Nvidia and other Big Tech companies that used to be the stars of the stock market continued to wilt. The drops were the latest in a global sell-off that began last week. Japan’s Nikkei 225 helped begin Monday

As presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris leans into her prosecutorial background on the 2024 campaign trail, she’s coming under fire for a clip featured in a recent Dave McCormick television ad in which she says it is “wrongheaded thinking to think that the only way you’re going to get communities to be safe is to put more police officers on the street.” A trip down memory lane shows that comment wasn’t a one-off. During the summer of 2020, when thousands of progressive Americans were taking to the streets to demand a more liberal approach to policing, then-senator Harris said during a live-streamed social-justice conference panel that “it is old,

The International Boxing Association defended its decision to disqualify Algeria’s Imane Khelif and Taiwan’s Lin Yu-ting from competition after both athletes failed an unspecific sex-identification test, pushing back against criticism from the International Olympic Committee, which opted to allow the athletes to compete against women at the Paris games. Khelif and Lin were disqualified at the 2023 IBA Women’s World Championships after failing gender-eligibility tests, but the IOC let both compete against female opponents this summer on the grounds that both boxers are identified as female on their passports.

Another "Black Monday" has descended on America with a massive stock sell-off underway. The NASDAQ is currently down over six percent after dropping nearly three percent on Friday. The DOW and S&P aren't faring much better. Much of this was telegraphed over the weekend after the Japanese market saw a huge drop, with futures painting a bleak picture for the opening bell. That played out immediately as the chickens of "Bidenomics" came home to roost. The soft landing is suddenly not looking very soft anymore. Ironically, this is all happening just six days after Joe Biden proclaimed that he had "cured the economy."

Stocks plunged on Monday as U.S. recession fears caused turmoil throughout the global markets. The Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 1,000 points, while the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 also fell by 3.9% and 3.2%, respectively. A weak jobs report and shrinking manufacturing activity in the world's largest economy, coupled with dismal forecasts from the big technology firms, pushed the Nasdaq 100 and Nasdaq Composite into a correction last week. "While Friday’s employment report was disappointing, it wasn’t the only worrisome economic indicator, only the latest," said Greg McBride, Bankrate's chief financial analyst. "Couple economic concerns with the cacophony of earnings disappointments and weak corporate outlooks, global unrest,

While it certainly hasn't been a quiet summer, considering Donald Trump was almost assassinated, Joe Biden appeared barely sentient at the presidential debate and was forced to the side by Madam Pelosi, and Kamala Harris suddenly became the greatest politician who ever lived in the eyes of the corporate media. But there was one thing we didn’t see, and it was a nice miss: unhinged pro-Hamas protests on our nation’s campuses. Students and organizers took off on their summer break and hopefully found something productive to do. Unfortunately, however, the new academic year starts up again soon, and the extremists have been busy making sure they're ready for more destruction:

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has seen his approval ratings plunge by 16 points in the past two weeks amid criticism of his handling of widespread anti-mass migration uprisings and the decision by his government to implement major cuts to winter fuel benefits. Just one month after sweeping to power in last month’s general election, it appears that the honeymoon is over for Sir Keir Starmer. According to the latest survey from Opinium, the left-wing leader has seen his net approval rating fall to just 3 per cent, down from 19 per cent two weeks ago, representing a decline of 16 points in a fortnight.

Scarcely a week goes by we don’t hear about more known terrorists caught—most are never caught--at the border, like these: Border Patrol agents took three suspected Palestinian terrorists into custody earlier this month after they illegally crossed the border from Mexico into California, the New York Post reported. One of the men reportedly had a “salacious photo” of a masked man holding an AK-47 rifle, the article states. Just another day at the border, just another batch of Islamist terrorists who happened to stroll across the Atlantic or Pacific on their way to our southern border. Nothing to see here; move along, move along. As one might expect,

On January 27, 1967, a freak accident during a routine test killed astronauts Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee. At the conclusion of the investigation, fellow astronaut Frank Borman testified to Congress that his friends were killed by a “failure of imagination.” As he said, nobody -- including himself -- imagined that a test of the capsule, performed on the ground, could be so catastrophic. We heard the “failure of imagination” phrase again last week, when acting Secret Service director Ronald Rowe testified about the assassination attempt on former President Donld Trump. US President Joe Biden is set to meet his national security team on Monday to discuss “developments in the Middle East”, the White House has said, as the US deploys extra fighter jets and warships to the region amid growing fears of an Iranian attack on Israel. Regional tensions have increased after the assassination last week of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran a day after an Israeli strike in Beirut killed Fuad Shukur, a senior military commander from the Lebanese group Hezbollah. Both groups are backed by Iran, which has sworn revenge. Biden will also speak to Jordan’s King Abdullah II, the White House said,

An account of the terrors of working for Vice President Kamala Harris during the days she was a U.S. senator has resurfaced. Terry McAteer, whose son worked briefly for Harris in a long-ago summer internship, wrote an op-ed for The Union in 2019 when Harris was in the midst of her failed campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. This is not exactly a startling revelation. In 2021, as Harris’s staff was heading for the exit one after the other, Politico wrote a piece describing the vice president’s office as a hotbed of dysfunction.

Olympic boxing sunk to a new low last week. An Algerian boxer with XY chromosomes – the ordinary definition of “male” – and commensurate male testosterone levels – beat up a woman in front of thousands of cheering spectators. The woman who was beat up had to quit 46 seconds into the match, apparently with a broken nose. In tears, she said in her native Italian “not fair, not fair” and explained afterward that she’d “never been hit so hard in my life.” The XY boxer was declared the winner. Yesterday, the XY boxer won again in a decision where all three judges favored the XY boxer in all three rounds

The liberal media wants to make Donald Trump’s comments about Kamala Harris’ race a significant point as we enter the final months of the 2024 election. It’s a tacit acknowledgment that the Democratic Party is underwater with groups that usually vote overwhelmingly for them in elections. They need something to jolt the base—and this subject matter could do it. That’s why I’m admittedly nervous: personal attacks on Kamala do nothing but energize liberals. Trump said that Kamala carried herself as Indian before becoming black after her national profile increased at last
