British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has seen his approval ratings plunge by 16 points in the past two weeks amid criticism of his handling of widespread anti-mass migration uprisings and the decision by his government to implement major cuts to winter fuel benefits. The advertising trade group The World Federation of Advertisers told its members on Thursday that it was "discontinuing" activities for its Global Alliance for Responsible Media initiative following an antitrust lawsuit filed by Elon Musk's X against the company earlier this week.

It has been almost three weeks since Vice President Kamala Harris launched her presidential campaign after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race. She still has not held a press conference.
