Pollster Frank Luntz and Historian Doris
Goodwin Offer Up Ridiculous Claims About
the Presidential Debate

On Sunday's "This Week," Martha Raddatz had a panel discussion with three "experts" on the upcoming presidential debate. The panel included Frank Luntz, and what he offered up made little sense. Luntz claims that the last two presidential campaigns, beginning with Trump versus Clinton in 2016 and then Trump versus Biden in 2020, were the beginning of the end of democracy. It seems everything in politics is “the end of democracy.” Luntz claimed that personal invectives and insults are too debasing and, apparently, a sign of the end of democracy. Luntz is a pollster, not a historian. Maybe he’s unaware of the long history of politicians insulting each other.

Comments:

Absurd characters. Luntz isn't worth comment. Doesn't DKG share a trait with FJB? (Plagiariam)

Presidential candidate insults from History.com : Andrew Jackson’s only two regrets: “that I have not shot Henry Clay or hanged John C. Calhoun.” Abraham Lincoln on Stephen Douglas’ policy on slavery: It 'is as thin as the homeopathic soup that was made by boiling the shadow of a pigeon that had been starved to death.' Theodore Roosevelt on William McKinley : 'McKinley had no more backbone than a chocolate eclair.' And on President Woodrow Wilson “a Byzantine logothete backed by flubdubs and mollycoddles.” President Harry S. Truman on General Dwight D. Eisenhower: 'The General doesn’t know any more about politics than a pig knows about Sunday.' Dwight D. Eisenhower on Richard Nixon contributions as his vice president: 'If you give me a week, I might think of one. I don’t remember.' Lyndon B. Johnson on Gerald Ford: 'Jerry Ford is so dumb that he can’t f*rt and chew gum at the same time.'

We have been discussing the efforts of the hacks in the mainstream media to create a fictional Joe Biden since the early days of the 2020 campaign. When Biden was given his order — almost certainly by his wife — to run again this year, I immediately pointed out that they were going to have to wear themselves out to prop up what he's become since January of 2021. Michelle Cottle is the national politics writer for the Opinion section of The New York Times, which essentially is a master's degree in creative fiction. Her latest is titled "What Joe Biden Could Learn From Betty White About Aging in Public."

I’ve said before that Joe Biden has never been much of a friend to Israel, even in the immediate aftermath of the Hamas attack on October 7. His initial public support hurt him politically with the antisemitic wing of his party, and he has gradually shifted his position ever since. The Biden administration has taken increasingly tougher stances on Israel, including sending aid to the terrorist organization Hamas and withholding weapons from Israel, our ally. A new war between Israel and Hezbollah, another Iran-backed terrorist organization, now looms, and the signal Israel is getting from the United States is: you're on your own. MOSCOW — More than 15 police officers and several civilians, including an Orthodox priest, were killed by armed militants in Russia’s southern republic of Dagestan on Sunday, its governor Sergei Melikov said in a video statement early Monday. The gunmen opened fire on two Orthodox churches, a synagogue and a police post in two cities, according to the authorities. Russia’s National Anti-Terrorist Committee described the attacks in the predominantly Muslim region with a history of armed insurgency as terrorist acts. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were declared days of mourning in the region. Dagestan’s Interior Ministry said a group of armed men shot at a synagogue and a church in the city of Derbent,

No wonder why the Biden team departed so early to Camp David for debate preparation. The White House summoned all the top Democratic strategists and advisers to ready the president as best they could against former President Donald Trump. Before they could review any of their attack lines or soundbites touting this administration's little legislative record, they need to ensure Biden can stand for at least 90 minutes. That’s not a good thing for a president we’ve been told is vivacious, a night owl, and sharp as a tack: (X) Some in the media have already tried to make the point that these debates are unfair to Biden.

He’s another unabashed liberal who can give reasonable analyses on the political landscape much better than any clown at MSNBC. Again, I know that’s not challenging, but Jones has said the Russian collusion story was a nothing burger. What isn’t a ‘nothing burger’ is the Obama coalition collapsing before our eyes, much like Joe Biden’s mental health. At the Milken Institute’s Global Conference, Jones gave a damning assessment of the health of this coalition that was, by all intents and purposes, unbeatable at the time.

Normal people celebrated this operation, whereas the anti-Israel, antisemitic clowns were mourning the loss of the terrorists killed in the raid. That’s how you know the Left is messed up in the head on this matter: they were more upset over the dead captors and the rescue of those they held captive.
