The far-left smear factory the Southern Poverty Law Center reportedly terminated a quarter of its staff Wednesday, weakening and perhaps eliminating two of its departments amid a restructure that heavily hit its union members.
The SPLC “gutted its staff by a quarter,” the organization’s union posted on X. (Yes, this nonprofit organization has its own labor union. If staff get tired of protesting Alliance Defending Freedom, they can protest management, instead.) The SPLC told more than 60 union members, including five union stewards and the union’s chair, that they would be losing their jobs.

Republican FEC Commissioner Trey Trainor will criticize the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) “dangerous” failure to intervene in Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution of former President Donald Trump, according to congressional testimony obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
During the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing on Bragg’s case against Trump, Trainor will explain that the DOJ’s decision not to intervene in the case sets a “dangerous precedent of local prosecutorial overreach in matters of federal concern” and unpack how Bragg “usurped the jurisdiction that Congress has explicitly reserved for federal authorities” when he attempted to enforce campaign finance law.

Much has been made about Hamas being a genocidal, antisemitic terrorist organization — and rightfully so.
Its publicly available charter is more than explicit about its genocidal, antisemitic aims — and we would all be wise to take Hamas at its word. Shrugging off these aspects of Hamas does not make them any less murderous or any more make-believe.
But there is a second side to Hamas (and other terrorist organizations, both past and present) that gets less attention, yet is likely the oxygen which allows for its genocidal, antisemitic terrorism to remain alive and kicking.
Hamas is ultimately a business — a mega-business. Like you and I go to work every day,

I am en route to London for Tuesday's hearing in the High Court in my suit against the UK's state censor Ofcom over The Mark Steyn Show's coverage of the Covid vaccines.
~In such a world, the European election results are ...well, modestly encouraging. On the basis of mere exit polls, the Belgian Prime Minister has been forced to resign and the French President has been bounced into doing a Sunak - dissolving the National Assembly and calling a "snap election" for the end of the month. An election he is certainly going to lose, and very badly.

Regular readers of mine will know that I have long opposed neocon and globalist perpetual war policies. I opposed most of the components of the US ‘War on Terror’ following 9/11, especially the corruption of a response to terrorism into a vast expansion of the intelligence infrastructure and the surveillance State targeted at every American. Israel’s battle comes as part of a wider civilisational conflict between the West and Islam, or even more widely between civilisation and barbarism, which necessitates our support of Israel both morally and pragmatically. Ayn Rand pointed out that in any conflict between a civilised man and a savage, we should side with civilisation.

A world-historical societal transformation is taking place before our very eyes, and yet few have taken notice. Britain, the erstwhile leader of the Western world and the foundation and source of English-speaking civilization, is in its last days as a free society, and will soon become an Islamic state. Yet despite the mountains of evidence that this transformation is taking place, many will still deny that it is happening at all. They may not even admit it when it overtakes them personally.

The truth is out there. Aliens are registering and voting in American elections.
For anyone who cares to see it, the truth is available in public records in election offices across the nation. But unfortunately, those who expose the truth about voting by aliens—illegal immigrants or not—are subjected to ridicule and an onslaught from the Left to preserve the broken status quo.
(Snip) We both testified recently before the House Administration Committee on this serious and real problem. The reactions of some Democrats on the committee were outlandish. They ignored or belittled the hard evidence we presented.
Instead, the Democrats changed the topic to Donald Trump and hurled

Another new version of the Covid-19 vaccine will probably be coming this fall.
The US Food and Drug Administration’s committee of independent advisers voted unanimously Wednesday to recommend that the agency tell vaccine manufacturers to update the Covid-19 shots so they will be more effective against the JN.1 lineage of the coronavirus.
The committee voted on the question, “For the 2024-2025 Formula of COVID-19 vaccines in the U.S., does the committee recommend a monovalent JN.1-lineage vaccine composition?” All 16 of the advisers voted “yes.”
The decision now goes to the full FDA. If the agency agrees with its advisory committee, the new shot will be a monovalent vaccine, offering protection

Portland, Oregon, has earned its reputation as America’s most radical city. Its public school system was an early proponent of left-wing racialism and has long pushed students toward political activism. As with the death of George Floyd four years ago, the irruption of Hamas terrorism in Israel has provided Portland’s public school revolutionaries with another cause dujour: now they’ve ditched the raised fist of Black Lives Matter and traded it in for the black-and-white keffiyeh of Palestinian militants.
I have obtained a collection of publicly accessible documents produced by the Portland Association of Teachers, an affiliate of the state teachers’ union that encourages its more than 4,500 members to“Teach Palestine!”

It’s taken me a few days to get round to it but I wanted to say a few words about Fauci’s behind closed doors testimony in January 2024, which has only just been publicly released by the Republican members of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The text that has now been released is remarkable in several ways. (Snip) When asked where the 6 foot social distancing rules came from, Fauci replied that “they just sort of appeared”.
Asked if he had ever seen any evidence to support the masking of children he replied that he didn’t recall doing so, but “might have”.

Why are we not living in a Golden Age?
The most egregious theft of collective wealth and well-being -- and it is flat-out theft -- is the churn on “alternative” forms of energy production. Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama said last week in an interview with Steve Bannon that the U.S. has spent some $7 trillion over budget in the last three years, and 25 percent of that went to "climate change" projects. They are all like Solyndra, massively subsidized and within a decade, massive failures. "The investors take a tax loss," said Tuberville, "then move onto the next effort where they again loot the public."

When I drove 20,000 miles through rural America a few years back, I was struck by the dilapidated nature of, well, just about everything. The towns were rundown, there were thousands of abandoned farms and ranches and family houses. Sidewalks broken, every other shop was abandoned.(Snip)
Over the years, regulations had come down so thick and punitive, near everyone operated in a catch-22 situation. You might hurdle one set of regs, only to discover that your success meant another set of regs cancelled you. Now of course, I see it as actually fiendish, the work of evil. The government was deliberately ruining peoples’ lives, drawing them down, impoverishing them, with malice.
Comments:
Starting with Yasser Arafat in the 1960s with his Soviet-led PLO, the rest of the world has never held these terrorist groups to account, just spread their propaganda and poured money into their organizations. The level of their corruption makes the Bidens look honest. The Gazans got sick of the PLO's corruption which left the people in miserable conditions, and that's why they voted in Hamas, which promised to end the corruption. Needless to say, Hamas only expanded it.
