Gavin Newsom: Biden Won the Debate on ‘Substance’

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) told reporters in the spin room Thursday night in Atlanta after the first presidential debate of the 2024 general election on CNN that President Biden won the debate on the “substance.” Newsom and Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) were sent into a phalanx of reporters as the Biden campaign’s surrogates with a seemingly impossible mission: spin a debate that even MSNBC thought Biden lost as a win for the incumbent. “To me, that was daylight and darkness … I care about substance,” Newsom said. “This is not about style … Biden not only asserted himself, he reminded people of his accomplishments and his vision for the future.”

Yeah. Gruesome Newsom delivered the line he was told to post debate. Then he and the other Biden surrogates left the room. Heck, Gavin was probably on a plane back to Cali within an hour.

Exactly what I'm trying to explain to everyone. Let Newsom embrace the woke policies. Go. Do it. War on heating oil and gasoline? OK. Thank you. 16% inflation isn't happening plus it's good? OK. Ka-ching. Illegal aliens are only raping the the girls that their families can't be bothered to rape?? He actually said that last night. Ok. Ty. The se are woke policies not errant mistakes of a senile old man. Take the ball Gavin. We're not rushing the qb. The fans will come outa the stadium to tackle you. Idk if it's an actual election or not, but if there is enough unbroken election system left in place for a supermajority of voters to prevail, President Trump will be reelected. Based on the actual issues and the will of the people.

I listen to the debate and didn't see it. I guess the visual was more flattering for Biden cause his answers were an absolute incoherent mess. I couldn't follow his train of thought. His points were often contradictory to other points he made in the same sentence. And the gibberish was concerning. I will admit I was [pleased when Diaper Joe finally admitted that 'we beat 'Medicare'. At least he accomplished that!

Regretfully I am a lifelong resident of California, a state that was once considered an excellent place to live and raise your family. That's all gone now since Gavin NewScum and his band of Democrat thieves in Sacramento have literally destroyed the state. Thanks to poor leadership our state now has a $68 BILLION deficit. Homelessness is out of control, as is crime. High taxes are out of control. We pay the highest price for gasoline in the nation with $1.21 in tax added to each gallon. Just to register my car every year it costs me over $600. Every summer wild fires are now the norm due to poor forestry mismanagement. Insurance companies refuse to write home owners policies in areas they deem to be "high risk fire areas". As a result of high crime major businesses have closed their stores in downtown San Francisco. I fear that the Democrats will replace our Joe Biden with the man that is responsible for destroying California. Let's hope NewScum doesn't get the chance to destroy our county any further than it has already been over the pasty four years under the failed presidency of demented Joe.

If last night's debate was anyone's first revelation that something was not right with Biden, then you haven't been paying attention. This is how he has behaved for the past 3-1/2 years. Obama and Hillary have been running the show behind the scenes since Biden was installed. Nothing will change if Biden or a replacement is installed next year. Any future Dem president will just be an Obama/Clinton puppet doing as told. It is essential for the long term survivability of the country that Trump win this election come November.

In the wake of Joe Biden's debate implosion, there's a lot of panic going on in the Democratic Party. CNN's John King encapsulated it on Thursday night: "Very aggressive panic," he termed it. In the immediate wake of the debate, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke with Ben Ferguson on their podcast, "The Verdict," about the debacle. As Rebecca Downs at our sister site Townhall reported: Cruz agreed with King that "Joe Biden did unbelievably badly, that the degree of dementia he is facing right now, it has escalated to a point that it is unrecognizable," adding "I think there are a great many Democrats

Under normal circumstances, I would have said that the exclusion from last night’s presidential debate of anti-Semitism was so significant as to merit our full attention. After all, it’s not merely a question of Jews feeling comfortable on campus or elsewhere; it’s a steady stream of violent riots that have taken a can of bear spray to American civic life. And yet, it honestly feels silly even complaining about that—or anything else issue-based, for that matter. The feeling of crisis at this moment is so acute that all issues take a backseat—and that is a crisis all its own. The crisis is international. Maybe even more so than it is domestic.
