They did it again. Joe Biden shouts gibberish for over an hour, muttering and shouting incoherent words during the State of the Union. All that was needed in rebuttal was normalcy. But no, Mitch McConnell and Mike Johnson had to deliver a “dramatic acting” rebuttal that was even more cringeworthy than Biden’s shouting.
Remember when Casey DeSantis was campaigning in the Melania heels, duck dynasty capris and grizzly mom T-shirt? This is the SOU rebuttal equivalent. It’s horrible. WATCH: (video) I’m so done with the professionally Republican apparatus.
This is super cringe.
The GOPe do this crap on purpose.

OP, I call her “Kkkkkkkkatie.”
She was earmarked to run…. and win Sen Shelby’s old seat (he being a transDem and all)
The only reason I think they installed her is she’s cute (too cute by half, but I digress), and she is connected enough to toe the line.
I gag when I see her. And last nite’s speech was WORSE than Diapers.

She was awful. I truly was embarrassed for her. What she said was fine, but I could not get past the Hallmark movie delivery. Ugh. Painful to watch. Such manufactured drama. Ugh.

She won the primary against a good man, Mo Brooks, by receiving a lot of Democrat money and votes and because of one of Trump’s poor people decisions. Trump was supporting Mo, but when he made a comment at a Trump rally that we needed to look forward and quit concentrating on the stolen election, that was enough for Trump to dump him and support deep state Kate.
Mo was one of Trump’s most loyal supporters.

Her whispery response sounded like one of those cable TV commercials for donations to the ASPCA with the sad eyed puppies or the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

Is it possible - - is it slightly possible - - that Marsha Blackburn - - or Claudia Tenney - - could have done a better job than that little girl?

I was hoping for better, as she comes off quite well on Kudlow. All we want is someone who will speak the truth in plain English about what's going on - not read the same old talking points from a prompter. Is there no one besides Trump and Kari who can do that?

It is certainly the OPPOSITE of loud, angry, mansplaining...and clearly aimed at the single demographic where Biden holds a clearcut advantage over Trump, educated white women living in nice houses.
Trump is making historic gains(or rather Biden is suffering historic losses) in EVERY other demographic, Bidens team assumes they can lose 10pts or so in every "Minority" demographic(including unions), because each is only a small percentage of the total electorate anyway. Even a few point loss of the White Female demo is YUUUGE, for Dems, because they ARE the majority demographic of the overall electorate.Soccer Moms(that aren't swingers) are THE swing vote for Dems, the Only One that really matters..

I agree that the delivery was over-the-top emotional, but if you read the transcript the speech is devastating to the Brandon administration.

I heard a clip, and she has a terrible speaking voice. My wife likes to watch home remodeling shows, and several of the presenters are women with the most irritating voices I have ever heard.
Women in media need to fet some voice training. Some ofv there voices distract totally from what they are saying. Can't sell an idea if tge listeners earscare aching, and they are just trying to get away from your voice.
Actresses used to get voice training, lots of young women today are in a desperate need of it.

#11~ Did not watch the GOP SOU response but compelled to wholeheartedly agree with the annoyance and irritation of some women’s and men’s voices. For women most especially, either sounding like little girls, singsongy, interspersing escalating/raised voice pitch as if asking a question rather than making a declaration or ending a sentence, or “emoting” as though reading a bedtime story to a child.
Hesitate to name names, but Diane Sawyer was one of those women who “reported” news as though reading a bedtime story to a child; the world could be falling apart, but the soft, singsongy delivery was not only cringeworthy but exasperating at the same time. Although PBS’ Rick Steves’ travel programs are commendable, his narration is another example of reading a bedtime story to a child. Highly admired and respected Catherine Herridge began her television news reporting delivery in what is assumed to have been the training for television news speaking in an almost dictatorial way at/to listeners rather than in a manner and tone of speaking as though among/with family and friends. Thankfully, she took on a softer manner of interaction and now, to many, she far surpasses the current female national news anchors not only in appearance, but intellect, charm, compassion, grace, warmth and trustworthiness.

The delivery is breathy and hammy but the demographic it is aimed at - younger women - may lap it up.

Overly dramatic. Likely due to her first time in such a situation.

I had never heard of Mom Britt. She may be big with women in Alabama, but this one nearly gagged on her bogus theatriccs. There are women of intelligence and dignity who can give a straight speech, hitting all the marks, and not act and sound like soap opera stereotypes...
