On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said that there is more work to be done on deficit reduction, President Joe Biden will continue to work on reducing the deficit, and that’s why the President has put out a proposal to raise taxes.
After Buttigieg [relevant exchange begins around 2:20] said that Biden will “continue down the path of deficit reduction that he has achieved in his presidency,” host Neil Cavuto said, “We have more debt than we did when he assumed office. Debt has grown under this President. By the way, it’s grown under the last one, the before him, and

Hey Pete. I can give you a long list of things the government should not be spending money on, including your salary.

Yes, deficit reduction can be accomplished by not throwing money around on other people's wars, permitting illegals into the country and then feeding and housing them and making students who borrowed money pay it back.

Does everyone see the insanity here? Biden creates the deficit and associated inflation through exorbitant spending. Now that it is an election year and inflation and rising debt are problems, Biden will raise taxes to solve the problems HE created. AND he will focus his taxes on the wealthy and business because, well, that's where the money is and the votes are not. The lower level earners are already being crushed because of Biden's inflation. He can't take more money from them because they don't have it and they will retaliate by voting against him.
And here is a dem dirty secret. Taxes against corporations are passed through to customers through higher prices, i.e. MORE INFLATION. In fact, ANY basic cost increase to production (raw material cost increase, worker pay raises, transportation cost increases, government mandated actions, ...) MUST be passed on to the consumer. To NOT do so would eventually undermine the fiscal stability of the company. SO, when Biden taxes X (Twitter) more, X raises its ad rates. The ad cost increase to the manufacturer is reflected in increased cost for the product being advertised which YOU pay for and IN THE END, YOU are being charged for Bidens unhinged spending. The whole process is money laundering for taxes.

The exact solution I would expect from a democrat. STOP the printing of Monopoly Money and the reckless spending.

They NEVER, EVER look to the "Spending Side" when they talk about deficit reduction, even after $8TRILLION in new Debt/deficit, all they talk about is Raising taxes, and spending ever more.
Obama set a record as the 1st President to Spend $1trillion...Biden has crammed through extra budgetary Bills that are all nearly twice that on TOP of $trillions ON the budget side.

I wondered what happened to this dork. The Democrats are obviously keeping him out of the limelight and off the electoral board of future candidates. They may be corrupt, evil traitors, but they are not stupid. They now see what we saw in this little rodent from the beginning.

They are STILL trying to figure out how to spend a remaining $1/2Trillion in covid funds, though the covid "Emergency" is long gone...He could notch immediate "Deficit Reduction" by just Clawing it Back. Instead he and the blue states are "Retasking it" to spend on "Newcomers", without having to BUDGET for That.

NO, Joe will continue to CRIPPLE THE ECONOMY by raising taxes.
And the "continue to fight the deficit" implies that they have done anything except massively increase the deficit, about a trillion more every month or two.

Biden spends like there is no tomorrow. He will never have enough. Since when did a President not know where the money was coming from to meet the Pentagon budget and others.
