A massive convoy of truckers will make its way to three migrant hotspots across three states in a bid to shame the White House into tackling the worsening crisis.
Hundreds - possibly thousands - of big rigs will head for Eagle Pass in Texas, Yuma in Arizona and San Ysidro in California from January 29 for the four day 'Take Back Our Border' event.
They hope the eye-catching, all-American protest will draw further attention to record numbers of migrants crossing the southern border and into the US, with multiple cities now buckling under the weight of trying to care for them.

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) is a national treasure with an incisive wit and a dry sense of humor. He has displayed these talents throughout his time in the Senate, whether by stumping unqualified Biden nominees or in interviews with reporters.
Kennedy’s wit was on display again Wednesday when he questioned Robin M. Meriweather before the Senate Judiciary Committee, who is currently a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Joe Biden nominated her to be a judge on the Court of Federal Claims earlier this month.
Kennedy exposed Meriweather’s utter lack of qualifications during his line of inquiry.

Donald Trump's attorney Alina Habba said she was 'proud' to defend the former president and tore into New York and the justice system following the $83.3million E. Jean Carroll verdict.
The lawyer who Judge Lewis Kaplan threatened to 'lock up' for her outbursts during closing arguments on Friday said her client is being targeted because he is leading in the polls.
She spoke to reporters after the jury awarded Carroll the staggering sum in damages, after deliberating for less than three hours, for Trump's defamatory public statements he made about her in 2019.

Is there going to be a major confrontation on the border following Joe Biden's ultimatum that Texas National Guard forces be removed from Shelby Park and other "disputed" areas? Not if the rank-and-file of the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol have anything to say about it. According to a new post put out by the Border Patrol Union, and a new report from Griff Jenkins of Fox News, Biden has lost operational control of the situation, at least in a practical sense. The Biden administration had initially warned Texas that it had until mid-day Friday to relinquish control of Shelby Park, the nearby boat dock,

At least 70 percent of registered Chicago voters say they do not approve of far-left mayor Brandon Johnson’s performance after his first eight months in office, according to a new poll.
The poll, conducted for the education-reform advocacy group Stand for Children, was designed to measure Chicagoans’ opinions on school-choice policy. However, the poll also contained generalized questions about the performance of local politicians. Voters were asked “how you feel each of the following is performing” in response to a list of names that included “Brandon Johnson as Chicago Mayor,” according to poll results obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times.
Stand for Children has not publicly released its poll data on local politicians.

Another jury last May found Trump liable for sexual abuse and ordered him to pay $5 million. This defamation trial was over things Trump said about Carroll while he was president. This comes after his abrupt walkout from the New York City courtroom, where the E. Jean Carroll defamation case is being heard.
The case took an unexpected turn when Judge Lewis Kaplan, a Clinton appointee, reportedly threatened Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, with jail time and denied a request to refute sexual abuse allegations.
The courtroom witnessed tense moments earlier. Judge Kaplan mandated silence, stating, “No interruptions, no audible comments,” following some objections, presumably from Trump’s legal team.

In the war launched by Hamas and Gazans against Israel on October 7, only one side has publicly and repeatedly promised genocidal extinction to the other. The International Court of Justice has, predictably, decided that the target of that genocidal ambition has to answer for its self-defense.
Weirdly, though, the ICJ decided to creep up on that position, demanding that Israel preserve ‘evidence’ of its genocidal actions while supplying more aid to their enemies at war:
The United Nations’ top court has told Israel it must take measures to prevent its forces from committing acts of genocide against Palestinians — but stopped short of using its power to order a full cease-fire

He was so incoherent you couldn't understand what he was trying to say at one point, and he continued that incoherence throughout his remarks. He was also introduced as the "big guy" — his nickname that was used in the messages in the Biden family business scandal. What makes it worse is that the audiences he's speaking to —

The Republican governors of 25 states have released a joint statement proclaiming their support for Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the steps his state has taken at its border with Mexico to prevent illegal immigrant crossings.
The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in favor of the Biden administration this week to allow Border Patrol agents to cut through or move razor wire Texas installed on its border with Mexico to prevent illegal entries into the U.S. Despite the Supreme Court’s ruling, Abbott released a statement on Wednesday arguing President Joe Biden has “refused to enforce” current federal laws protecting states,

We recently discovered that Google’s ad-serving network is blocking its ads from appearing on a story we published almost exactly three years ago.
Google declared that the article violated its terms of service because it contained “Dangerous or derogatory content,” [snip]
So what was the article that it flagged? “Trump’s Top-10 Triumphs: A Last Look At A Remarkable Presidency.” We are not kidding.
That editorial begins thusly: "President Donald Trump became an ex-president on Wednesday, as Joe Biden was inaugurated as the 46th president of the United States. We wish him nothing but the best. But before we let

As the NFL bread and circuses brigade marches blindly toward Super Bowl Sunday, the league finally tipped its hand when it streamed one of its wildcard playoff games between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins. Perhaps you were one of the 23 million who flew over that paywall by subscribing to Peacock for the privilege.
Welcome to the future of NFL broadcasting, as network television will soon be washed away by the stream. As cable continues to bleed subscribers, streaming will fill the gap. Perhaps lost on the scramble for the almighty dollar is how the NFL’s success

About five years ago the only pharmacy in my small town in rural Virginia closed. A year or so later a second county drugstore failed. Soon the owner of the last remaining drugstore in the county was unable to make a profit and had to sell. (These last two managed to reopen at a later date.)
I was unaware the loss of our drugstores was a nationwide trend until reading an article by Karen Kerrigan, president and CEO of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council. She reported that mom-and-pop drugstores in rural areas were particularly hard hit, leaving about 630 rural communities with no pharmacy by 2018.

Donald Trump will be allowed to stay on the 2024 primary ballot in Maine until the Supreme Court rules on a similar case in Colorado.
The state's top court declined getting involved in an appeal to keep the ex-president off the ticket, and now leaves the case's fate with the nation's highest court.
Democratic Secretary of State Shenna Bellows concluded that Trump didn't meet ballot qualifications under the insurrection clause in the Constitution. But a judge put that decision on hold pending the Supreme Court's decision on the similar case in Colorado.
In a unanimous decision on Wednesday, the Maine Supreme Judicial Court dismissed Bellows' appeal of the order requiring her

United Auto Workers (UAW) President Shawn Fain said “a great majority” of American union workers in the auto industry “will not vote for” President Joe Biden against presumptive Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump.
“Look, let me be clear about this. A great majority of our members will not vote for President Biden. Yes, some will. But that’s the reality of this,” Fain told Neil Cavuto: The majority of our members are going to vote with their paychecks, they’re going to vote for an economy that works for them, they’re going to vote for a president — when you look at these two presidents, the choice is very clear

It was exactly five years ago today, on January 25th, 2019, that 29 heavily-armed FBI agents in full SWAT gear and brandishing fully automatic M4 assault weapons surrounded my home to take me into custody for the entirely fabricated crime of lying under oath to Congress in my voluntary testimony before the House Intelligence Committee in their investigation into nonexistent “Russian collusion” with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016.
As I’m sure many will remember, CNN just happened to coincidentally have a camera crew positioned a mere 25-feet from the front door of my home.

The Biden Administration has dealt a devastating blow to America by opening up the southern border to all comers. The influx of illegals threatens our national security and our economy, and it has placed an intolerable burden on the border states. How intolerable, is demonstrated by the panic that seizes blue cities when they are faced with a tiny fraction of the burden suffered by communities near the open border.
Joe Biden’s border policy is unconstitutional. Under Article II, his most fundamental duty as president is to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed.” Biden has not faithfully executed our immigration laws; rather, he has deliberately sabotaged and negated them.

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., dismissed Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's call for a federal crackdown on Zyn nicotine pouches, saying there are "bigger issues" to address Thursday.
"I'm going to err on the side of more freedom and personal choices of those kinds of things," Fetterman told reporters. "And I made that same argument when I wanted to legalize marijuana."
Fetterman added he doesn't support "snuff or chewing tobacco," but that substances should be available for adults to freely choose. "So, I don't support it," Fetterman said of Schumer's campaign against the popular nicotine product.
