Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor has described being on the highest court in the land as living in frustration, saying that every loss the liberal justices face “traumatises” her.
As one of the three liberal justices on the court, Justice Sotomayor and her colleagues can typically anticipate they will be outnumbered when deciding cases. Over the last few years, rulings around issues of abortion rights, LGBT+ rights and racial equality have swung in conservatives’ favour.
“Every loss truly traumatises me in my stomach and in my heart,” Justice Sotomayor said on Monday while speaking with students at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.

Sometimes, you have to wonder who is running the clownish Biden administration.
There are reports Monday night that Joe Biden may take some action in response to the Iran-backed attack on American military forces that resulted in three Americans being killed and more than 40 injured at last count. But in typical Biden fashion, not only is the Biden team telegraphing to the Iranians that something may be coming in advance, but now they've even leaked some of the possible options that the Pentagon is considering.
Biden, who has a well-known desire to limit conflict and avoid dragging the United States into another Middle East war, has directed his team

Democratic strategist and political commentator James Carville said Monday on MSNBC’s “Inside” that Democrats need to go after former President Donald Trump with a “rhetorical meat cleaver.”
Carville said, “I would tell the president and his campaign, we got your back, dude. We are going after him with a meat cleaver, okay? A rhetorical meat cleaver if you will but that what we have to do. The president is talking about what is going on infrastructure, tremendous progress, making thousands of new projects around the country. They can talk about other things. We can handle this. We can do this at a lower level.

Maddow said, “You’ve talked about using some of Trump’s money that you’re about to get to help shore up women’s rights. Do you know what that might be, what that might look like?” Carroll said, “Yes Rachel, yes.”
Maddow said, “Tell Me.”Carroll said, “I have such, such great ideas for all the good I’m going to do with this money. First thing, Rachel,

Posters featuring a “wheel of power/privilege” were hung in employee spaces in Disneyland, instructing employees that being white, “cisgender male,” and even speaking English means you have “unearned” privilege that your “marginalized” coworkers do not, according to images obtained by The Daily Wire. (snip) The Daily Wire reached out to the Walt Disney Company to ask about the poster and why they are posted. Within hours of reaching out, our source said a manager removed the poster, and sent a photo of the now-empty display cabinet,

Michelle Obama is allegedly plotting to knock Joe Biden out as the Democratic presidential nominee and run herself, and her husband is in on the secret, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The 60-year-old former First Lady and Barack Obama have reportedly been whispering to potential donors, and Democratic strategists are said to be eager to make it happen. As concerns about Biden's cognitive health grow ahead of his potential re-election, where he's likely to face off with energetic Donald Trump, White House sources say Michelle's takeover is being carefully crafted.
Biden will likely announce that he's not running in May, citing health concerns, paving the way for Michelle to be nominated

To preserve a “livable planet,” the Earth can’t warm more than 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, the United Nations warns. (snip)But a growing chorus of climate scientists are saying the temperature readings are faulty and that the trillions of dollars pouring in are based on a problem that doesn’t exist.
More than 90 percent of NOAA’s temperature monitoring stations have a heat bias, according to Anthony Watts, a meteorologist, senior fellow for environment and climate at The Heartland Institute, author of climate website Watts Up With That, and director of a study that examined NOAA’s climate stations.

Denver, Colorado's capital with over 700,000 residents, has become the latest city inundated with over 40,000 migrants as a result of the ongoing border crisis. The sanctuary city has been struggling to stretch its limited resources to support the growing number of migrants in the city. Texas has transported thousands of migrants to sanctuary cities like Denver, to showcase the problems border states face when migrants flood their cities.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Turning Point Action, the political arm of conservative movement leader Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA, has identified more than 4.5 million so-called “disengaged” Republican voters in several battleground states around the country, enough to more than swing the 2024 presidential election’s results from 2020.
The group is holding its first-ever Restoring National Confidence event at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip on Monday and Tuesday, flying in county GOP chairs from 75 of the top 100 battleground counties across the country. A video from 2022 of Somali refugee Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) speaking in the Somali language to a gathering of Somali-Americans in Minneapolis and, according to posted translations, repeatedly calling the visiting President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, “our president,” and saying “Somalia is our home,” is raising new questions about her loyalty to the United States. Omar added she has a “special relationship” with Mohamud. In a visit a week later to Somalia, Omar again called it “our country” while addressing Somali government leaders.

The far-left Atlantic’s Paul Farhi is calling on taxpayers to save the corporate media from an “extinction-level event.”
Farhi was once the left-wing media reporter for the disgraced Washington Post. During a recent round of layoffs at the failing Post, Farhi accepted a buyout. Now he believes that the same people the corporate media insult, demean, and misinform (you and I) should bail out this fascist institution:
The outlook for 2024 seems especially cloudy to Sewell Chan, the editor in chief of The Texas Tribune, a nonprofit publication that has been held up as a sustainable news-business model. Chan told me that the past year has been

On Sunday, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida ended his presidential bid and announced his endorsement of former President Donald Trump after landing just over 20% of the Iowa caucus vote. [snip] Nevertheless, party infighting only continues with online attacks and congressional hold ups threatening the unity of the GOP.
The Republican party needs to reset its priorities: There will be plenty of time to fight over budgets, abortion rights, and foreign policy after securing the presidency. Until then, any internal squabbles can be used as free ammunition by the Democratic party. Republicans will need to get their house in order to secure a majority vote in November.
