Posters featuring a “wheel of power/privilege” were hung in employee spaces in Disneyland, instructing employees that being white, “cisgender male,” and even speaking English means you have “unearned” privilege that your “marginalized” coworkers do not, according to images obtained by The Daily Wire. (snip) The Daily Wire reached out to the Walt Disney Company to ask about the poster and why they are posted. Within hours of reaching out, our source said a manager removed the poster, and sent a photo of the now-empty display cabinet,

Thank Heaven none of my retirement funds were ever invested in Disney - I'd have had to return to work. I very much enjoyed the classic Disney movies and the TV shows in childhood. I could hardly wait for newly released Star Wars movies and the spinoffs - nevermore. I don't and won't subscribe to Disney+. I am truly sorry for those whose livelihoods depend on this company. Because it likely will continue its slide into corporate oblivion. Disney's only hope is that something akin to Noah's Flood will wipe it clean of all the filth and perverted idiotic sinfulness but I personally believe it is beyond redemption. I'll hold on to my old DVD's for grandchildren.

Disney used to be so good. I have so many fond memories of Disney movies. Thank God I have most all of them on DVD and can enjoy them without the tedious wokeness of the modern ones. If Disney does not change, it will go the way of Woolworths.

It was a very strange chart but I was actually relieved that it at least had expanded who is privileged or not. Because I was privileged in some ways- good education, I am a citizen, etc but not privileged at all in others-mainly I am very disabled now and have been getting slowly more and more disabled since I was in my 20s. I have so many illnesses that most doctors don;t even want me for a patient- I have had to fire so many in the last few years.

And I don't like any DEI garbage at all- that wasn't my point. We need to stop dividing people. My dh had to go to so many DEI type sessions over the years. Only one session was ever a good one- where the organizers had a lot of stereotypes and choices people make and the attendees wrote what their choices were- like music. It turned out that everyone was unique and stereotypes in that office weren't true--- the black man like country music, for example. Which is what you find out if you talk to people. No, you do not have to be a gay man to like musicals. No, you do not have to be female to like shopping. No, not all females like shopping. No, not all females like or liked Barbie. No, not all males watch sports. etc, etc, etc, We are all individuals.

Whether I agree on the extent of any "privilege" I have, it being earned is not up for debate. As a white, northern European male, I have earned the right to bask in my group's achievements. Take a Trans multi racial person out for a drive. Point outside the window and say, "Everything you see that is manmade, including the window you are looking through in the car youre driving in, was invented, produced and installed by a white European male. I think that deserves some privilege

So does Daily Wire need to reach out each day to make sure the posters don't go back up or what? The article only mentioned that one poster was taken down.

Disney does understand that it is the people on their wheel of privilege who actually can still afford to come to their parks and stay in their hotels. For a company who depends on privileged families for their revenue, they sure seem to be doing their best to alienate them. Seems more like the Woke PC crowd at Disney has afforded themselves all sorts of privilege that they do not allow others.

This should give all employees at Dizney something to shoot for if they want to be successful. Now, the "white" thing might be difficult for some, but Hey! Getting 90% done will advance your prospects in life.

I last went to a Disney park in 1971. Wasn't too impressed then, as the prices and crowds were unreasonable. Now I have two kids and ten grandkids, and have no desire to take any of them to such a horrible place. Better if I just sell them to some DC pedophiles and make some profit.

How does the Woke Left philosophically justify DEI while trashing Jesus Christ, and His absolute moral code that underpins all of Western Civilization?
Can anyone describe a (consistent) belief system that demands that DEI comprise absolute and inviolable moral standards regarding race and gender dysphoria, but disallows other absolute moral standards (e.g., abortion is murder, homosexuality is sinful, etc.)?
Can anyone on this thread enlighten me?

#15, we just started a series of Bible studies re Paul’s philosophy for politics today. We’re discussing the INCLUSIVENESS of the Gospel (“that WHOEVER believes”) and the EXCLUSIVENESS of the Gospel (“I am the way….NO one comes except through me”).
But something I’ve noticed in the last 30-40 years is how our thinking and reasoning are becoming circular — like much in the Arab world. Their rationale is not linear, like typical European thought.
Maybe that explains some of the differences in “absolutes.”

I know that the idea has been bounced around the internet for years but, wouldn’t it be great if we could force all of these wokesters to endure for one week without anything which was invented, grown, produced or built by straight white men? Start with clean readily available drinking water and see how well they fare.

Well, one of the "white privileges" is being able to afford staying at a Disney francise. How do Disney staff members not targeted on the wheel fell about serving the targeted people, that Disney has so helpfully pointed out to them?
You would think that Disney would come up with a quota system to insure that those people on the outiside ring of their “wheel of power/privilege” got to stay at the resorts, too.

We used to love Disney. We were regulars at WDW in Florida but haven't been back since before Covid with no plans to go back anytime soon.
We did however go to Disneyland Paris while we were over in France before Christmas and it was wonderful. Not a bearded man in a dress in sight. Nothing sketchy or "woke." Just good high quality family friendly fun. It reminded me of how WDW was from the 70-90's. We plan to hit up Tokyo Disney when we are there next year visiting friends.
I get the feeling that other countries still understand that sex obsessed freaks who participate in hedonistic activities in everyday life and live "adult" oriented lifestyles and kids should just never ever mix and those countries still run their societies with those rules still firmly in place. Makes you weep for our country.

Speaking English in an English speaking country is now considered being privileged?
If ever a company deserved to go bankrupt it is Disney.

Had the Disney employees put up the Wheel of Privilege to mock 'wokeness', then it would have been hilarious. When management does it, it's downright terrifying. You have to wonder what goes through the mind of people who think up this garbage.
