Wait, The Biden Administration Wanted
to Cover Up the Chinese Spy Balloon Incident?

Original Article

On January 28, China sent over a surprise: a spy balloon nearly the size of the Statue of Liberty. It hovered over the United States for a couple of days before being shot down off the Carolina coast on February 4. How this massive surveillance device escaped detection from NORAD made for an embarrassing episode for US security officials. The balloon hovered over sensitive military sites. Biden wanted to shoot down the balloon, though he was persuaded not to do so by the brass due to falling debris. Yet, we know that wasn’t the first option. The Biden administration wanted to hide its existence and subsequent penetration of US airspace

Wow! Why am I not surprised??!!

The "falling debris" excuse is equine excrement. Those bases were put in Montana and North Dakota because there is NOTHING THERE. They are placed hundreds of miles from population centers so that if those bases get nuked, there is minimal civilian and infrastructure damage. Any 70x70-mile debris field would have to consist of very tiny pieces. No, the Biden administration made the decision to allow this airship to complete its mission before taking any action. Draw your own conclusions, but that sounds compromised to me.

#3 is absolutely correct. I remember in Vietnam when AF recce missions continued to be aborted because of Troops in Contact/Artillery Fire (TIC/AF). Smart guys in Ops ran the math and, using type, frequency, altitude and probably other paramenters, came up with rules to avoid automatic cancellation. (And, yes, I'm familiar with the Caribou that flew into the line of fire of a 155mm Howitzer.) If, even in war, they could do the mission without undue risk, hesitating to drop a balloon over northwestern states sent the exact wrong message about today's "smart guys in Ops".

I can't figure out why an American patriot didn't take down the spy balloon. There's certainly many people who had the ability to blow it out of the sky.

#5 (OhioNick): If I remember correctly, the balloon was actually above the ceiling of the F22s sent to down it. The (rather expensive) sidewinder used to destroy the balloon had to climb the rest of the way to the target. I'd say that balloon was a bit too high for any civilian to touch!

The Christmas season flies by, doesn't it? It's hard to believe that it's Christmas Eve, and of course, this year it happens to be a Sunday. You may already be feeling the stress of Christmas being so close. Maybe there are presents to wrap — or presents to buy. Maybe you have food to cook in anticipation of family or friends coming over. Maybe you're juggling church, entertaining, and travel on a Christmas Eve Sunday. My Christmas Eve this year began with an early-morning rehearsal for Sunday morning services, followed by leading worship. My family will have our yearly tradition of eating supper at Waffle House,

I wrote this column ten years ago during a busy and stressful time in my life. I post it here again because I know that Christmas can be difficult for many. Perhaps you've lost a loved one, received a devastating diagnosis, or have unresolved family problems that threaten to erupt. And then there's the news — "wars and rumors of wars," our dysfunctional government, rampant crime, and even genocide in Israel. Whatever difficulties you're facing, whatever pain you're going through—at a time when everyone seems to be joyful and smiling — I pray that you will find hope in God's word and a classic Christmas hymn,

Christmas road trips this weekend might be challenging for those who are driving an electric vehicle (EV) an extended distance for the first time. While EVs are popular with certain groups even as they’ve been largely panned by the general population, inexperienced EV drivers could face some unwanted travel surprises this holiday season if they hit the road unprepared, Axios notes in a recent report. Nearly 104 million people are expected to drive at least 50 miles from their homes between December 23 and January 1, which is a little more than last year’s holiday season, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA).

An Ohio woman celebrating a centenarian birthday was commemorated with an unlikely gift — 105 whisky shooters, one for every year she has been alive. Fireball Whisky heard of Florence “Flo” Hackman, a resident of Traditions of Deerfield assisted living community in Loveland, turning 105 on December 16 because she is one of its biggest fans, reports Fox News. Hackman may be elderly, but she is a woman still full of life and energy. According to caretakers at the facility, she drinks a bit of Fireball’s cinnamon-flavored whisky every day. Learning of her great appreciation for the drink, the company sent her the shooters as a birthday present. [Tweet]

A new bill was introduced in the United States Congress on Friday to ensure the integrity of presidential ballots. The Presidential Ballot Integrity Act, introduced by Mr. Higgins of Louisiana, seeks to amend Title 3 of the United States Code, specifically the Electoral Count Act of 1887. The Electoral Count Act of 1887, or ECA, is a significant United States federal law that introduced procedures specified in the Constitution of the United States for the counting of electoral votes and resolution of related disputes. The ECA details the process by which the Senate and House of Representatives count electoral votes to confirm the election results for President and Vice President.

Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie will not appear on the ballot for Maine’s presidential primary, following a judge’s affirmation of an earlier decision. Despite efforts to overturn a ruling by the Maine Secretary of State, Christie’s appeal was rejected, solidifying his absence from the crucial ballot. The former New Jersey Governor’s campaign faced a significant setback when the Maine Supreme Judicial Court upheld the Secretary of State’s decision, stating that the candidate failed to meet the necessary requirements for ballot inclusion. The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Christie will not be listed on the Maine primary election ballot due to his failure to secure the required number of in-state petition signatures.

A red flag law allows family, friends, and others, to seek a court order to have guns removed from someone they view as a danger to himself or others. A yellow flag law is more narrow, allowing law enforcement to seek the court order for firearm removal.Collins bill comes in response to the October 25, 2023, Lewiston, Maine, attacks, which were carried out by a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.
