Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is urging former President Donald Trump to debate him ahead of the Iowa caucus, which takes place January 15, following former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley agreeing to appear in CNN’s Hawkeye State debate.
“If Donald Trump and Nikki Haley are going to continue to spend millions against me on television with false attacks, they should at least have the courage to meet on the debate stage,” DeSantis said in a Friday post on X. “Now that Nikki Haley has been shamed into coming to the CNN debate, it’s time for Donald Trump to follow suit and join us,” DeSantis added: (X)

Our former President Trump has more than earned the right to ask us for our vote. His actions, ticking off one campaign promise after another as “done” for four years as President proved it. It is more than talk with him and that is why he is miles ahead of the Keebler elves. Ron needs the debate. Trump does not.

Lucky for Ron, Trump won't debate him. Trump would pull DeSantis's shirt over his head, knock him down, and draw on his face with lipstick.

Trump is so far up in the polls that he doesn't need to debate any of the candidates.

Useful Idiot #1. DeSantis sold his soul to the globalist cabal. Was the thirty pieces of silver worth your soul, shorty?

I love both guys. Donald Trump is, by far, the best president in my lifetime and I've been around the Sun a few times. Ron deSantis is the best governor in the country. He is one of the reasons why so many people live in Florida including a distinguished former president. If I make it to Nov 2024 I'll vote for whoever, and I mean whoever, is the nominee of the GOP. But in the primary I will vote in the dim farce for The Love Goddess. If she could beat Quid Pro Joe that would be fantastic.

Ron screwed up when he allowed the establishment convince him to run against Trump. He was Americas governor. . If the dumb arse would have thrown 100% support for Trump he may have become the VP nomination .

A lot of beginning boxers yearn for a Title fight with "the Champ" too... but they don't get them, until they fight their way to the top. DeSantis. while being a great Governor, is not ready for the White House yet. He would be wise to reconcile with Team Trump and bow out gracefully to become a supportive State leader.

DeSantis stepped in the dog stuff when he announced his candidacy instead of waiting. Now he is destroying his chances in the next campaign for National Office.

I can just see Karl Rove, inflated with hubris, thinking, “We’ve got Trump now!” The GOPe refuses to accept that their type of politics is over.

Next year when everyone is on here whining about whatever Democrat they put up refuses to debate (if Trump wins the nom) I am going to revel in it. Trump want's my vote? Earn it. Prove you have the mental acuity needed for the big chair. Can't claim your the best fighter if you refuse to get in the ring. Just because you got real lucky and landed one huge knockout shot ONCE doesn't give you the title for life.
So far, selling NFT's and pieces of his used clothing gives me NO confidence that he's even really serious about this whole thing.
Go ahead and flame away at me. Deep down in your hearts you know he's not the same Trump as 16.

#19, I realize you are not a Trump supporter and I respect your point of view. However, as far as “he needs to get in the ring” I guess you have missed that Donald J. Trump has been IN the ring, on every available communication media, spending his own money and risking his own treasure for America First causes for coming on seven YEARS now.
