All nine charges relate to tax, including two felony charges for filing a false return, a felony charge for tax evasion, four failure to pay charges, and a further two charges for failure to file. Ron DeSantis came out swinging in the latest GOP primary debate, and he landed so many blows that he even triggered BlackRock. The exchange that kicked things off was over the proliferation of ESG in the business world. DeSantis pointed out that he was the only person on stage who had taken tangible action against it, including targeting BlackRock specifically. Apparently, Larry Fink's outfit didn't take too kindly to that. Someone from their social media team rushed to put out a snooty response about how BlackRock is really just a benevolent retirement fund. The ratio was glorious, and it's still building. WASHINGTON — The House will again vote Thursday on punishing one of their own, this time targeting Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman for triggering a fire alarm in one of the U.S. Capitol office buildings in September when the chamber was in session. If the Republican censure resolution passes, the prominent progressive will become the third Democratic House member to be admonished this year through the process, which is a punishment one step below expulsion from the House. “It’s painfully obvious to myself, my colleagues and the American people that the Republican Party is deeply unserious and unable to legislate,” Bowman said Wednesday as he defended himself during floor debate. “Their censure

The highest number of illegal immigrants in a single day crossed onto U.S. soil on Tuesday. More than 12,000 crossed the border that day. In an interview Wednesday, DHS Secretary Mayorkas claimed that the border security measures congressional Republicans want to put into a foreign aid bill are “violence to our fundamental values.” What are these security measures that are so offensive to the man who lies that the southern border is closed and secured? They are “building a border wall, increasing the number of Border Patrol agents, limiting asylum, and narrowing Biden’s power to parole illegal immigrants.” Talk about bad timing. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government in Rome has officially informed Beijing that Italy is withdrawing from the Communist Party government’s Belt and Road global domination scheme. Following weeks of negotiations, Italy sent a letter to China stating its intentions to formally withdraw from the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Xi Jinping’s pet project to expand Chinese influence throughout the world. The letter was said to have been sent to Beijing several days ago but was not made public until a report on Wednesday from the Milan newspaper Corriere della Sera. While Rome had attempted to modify its agreement before the renewal deadline set for the end of the year,

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) is ordering Michigan’s state fleet of vehicles to be 100 percent electric by 2040. In a new directive Tuesday, Whitmer announced a move to bring the state’s fleet of vehicles down to zero greenhouse gas emissions in fewer than two decades. The goal, Whitmer wrote in the order, is “essential” for her administration’s green energy agenda. Whitmer wrote in the directive: Michigan is on the cutting-edge of mobility and electrification. Our world-leading auto industry is making the switch to electric, and we continue to attract battery, semiconductor, and clean energy investments from other states and nations. We must usher the future of mobility and clean energy into Michigan

All sides will acknowledge the fact that then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to have extra security on January 6. However, there is a bigger question that no one, Left, Right or Center, seems to be asking: Why? Why wouldn’t Pelosi want to be sure that “Democracy was secure” so that Vice President Mike Pence could certify the Electoral College vote?

The U.S. House of Representatives voted 221-197 Wednesday evening to pass the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act, which would strike down federal regulations that target gas-powered vehicles. Two hundred and sixteen and five Democrats voted in favor. The measure will next go to the Senate, where it’s enjoyed bipartisan support. President Biden issued a statement Monday, however, vowing to veto the bill if and when it hits his desk. The president and his administration have been aggressive in pushing electric vehicles, and this bill is designed to stymie efforts to have the government decide what kind of car you can drive.

Millions of Americans watched in horror this week as the presidents of Harvard, MIT and Penn testified before Congress about the vile anti-Semitism we have seen on their campuses in recent weeks. Despite being given ample chances to do so, they just couldn’t seem to bring themselves to admit that the far left students carrying out these acts are violating school policies. All of the school presidents hid behind a supposed commitment to free speech, but we know that’s false because conservative speakers are routinely shouted down on college campuses. Now, billionaire hedge fund manager and academic donor Bill Ackman is demanding that these school presidents ‘resign in disgrace.’

Loftis’s office portfolio has about $105 million of Disney debt instruments that will mature as scheduled and will not be replaced, according to the treasurer. Loftis said he will focus on the equity portfolio in the coming weeks.
