House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, is investigating whether the 51 former intelligence officials who signed the infamous Hunter Biden laptop letter were paid by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). (snip) “We understand that former intelligence officials often return to the intelligence community under private contract for their previous agencies,” Jordan wrote. “It is vital to the Committees’ oversight to understand whether any of the signatories of the public statement were actively employed by CIA as contractors or consultants at the time they signed the public statement.”

A federal grand jury in California returned a multi-count indictment against Hunter Biden late Thursday, charging the president’s son with multiple tax offenses. (snip) What was missing from the lengthy indictment, however, was anything new of substance. On the contrary, the charges were so straightforward and stale that it’s incomprehensible they were not brought against Hunter Biden in 2019 or early 2020. The only logical explanation for the delay in charging Hunter was to interfere in the 2020 election by refraining from the Democrat candidate’s son.

Disney’s latest venture isn’t a theme park or a movie, but a residential community in North Carolina. (snip) It’s the second Disney-themed community in the works in the United States, following the Cotino community in Rancho Mirage, California.
Asteria aims to materialize with the collaboration of Disney’s legendary “Imagineers” and DMB Development.
The project intends to create a “community inspired by Walt Disney’s innate curiosity and passion for learning,” spanning about 1,500 acres. (snip) To add a touch of Disney, activities and storytelling dinners inspired by brand classics will be part of the community experience.

Democrat Rep. Ayanna Pressley, has introduced legislation to allow incarcerated U.S. citizens to vote in federal elections.
The Massachusetts lawmaker also reaffirmed her support for lowering the voting age to 16. (snip) The bill is cosponsored by Sen. Peter Welch, a Vermont Democrat.
Pressley argued that individuals in prison or those with a criminal record are “wrongfully stripped of their sacred right to vote and denied the opportunity to participate in our democracy.”

The House voted to censure Rep. Jamaal Bowman for pulling the fire alarm during a vote to avert a government shutdown. The vote was 214 to 191, with five members voting 'present.'
Four Democrats, all on the Ethics Committee, voted 'present' - as is standard for ethics-related matters. Three Democrats voted to censure Bowman - Rep. Jahana Hayes, Conn., Chris Pappas, N.H., and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, Wash.
One Republican voted against it: Rep. Andy Harris of Maryland.
Rep. Lisa McClain, R-Mich., forced a vote on the resolution this week by making it 'privileged.'

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has been under fire from the establishment media in Washington for his investigation into alleged financial misdeeds by the Biden family, accused of hyping evidence his team has uncovered to push impeachment.
But he’s had enough and is telling the media what he thinks of their White House defense. On Tuesday night, as he appeared on Meet the Press Now, Comer told host Ryan Nobles, “The American people aren't buying what you're selling,” adding, “The mainstream media is trying to cover this up.” (snip) Comer, with a smirk, responded, “You don’t understand. It’s like you’re financially illiterate.

Well, the ailing Pope Francis has struck again. This time, the 86-year-old pontiff decided to remove the man he described as “his enemy,” the conservative gadfly Cardinal Raymond Burke. To this end, he canceled the Cardinal’s Vatican stipend (said to be around 5,000 euros per month) and, worse, forced him to give up his 4,400-square-foot Vatican apartment. (snip) In other words, liberal love and tolerance have come to the Vatican. The point, as always, is both to squelch dissent and threaten potential opponents: toe the party line and repeat “the narrative,” or you could be next.

Robert F. Kennedy stated in a televised interview on Tuesday that he had flown on Jeffrey Epstein's private jet twice—weeks after telling Newsweek that he had only taken one flight on the late financier's aircraft. (snip) Kennedy's recollection stands at odds with an emailed statement shared on his behalf with Newsweek on October 31, in which a spokesperson for the former Democrat stated that he had only "flown one time on Jeffrey Epstein's private plane."
The occasion that Kennedy's spokesperson informed Newsweek about was the flight in 1993 from New York City to Palm Beach, Florida, when he visited his mother for Easter.

An attorney for Hunter Biden reiterated to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) that the president’s son would not be sitting for a closed-door deposition and re-upped his offer to testify in a public hearing.
The new letter to Congress follows a subpoena by Comer demanding that Hunter Biden sit for a closed-door deposition as part of their impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

The discussion centered on finding “a variety of technical solutions developed to make the yachting experience more responsible and sustainable,” according to its official COP28 website. (snip) “It’s absolutely classic… they tell everyone else to sacrifice while they host discussions on ‘sustainable yachting’ among themselves.” Representatives for the UN did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
