US House Committee hearings are dull unless there’s a topic, like the weaponization of the FBI, where fireworks will start popping off from Matt Gaetz and others. The House Committee on Education hearing was somewhat low-key but riddled with appalling moments, like when three college heads from MIT, Harvard and UPenn endorsed Jewish genocide. They were asked point blank by Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) if such harassment violated their respective campuses' codes of conduct, among other things. All three gave academic answers, essentially saying that context is everything. In other words, they don’t condemn those calling for the mass slaughter of Jews, opting to protect the pro-terrorist cohorts,

A nonprofit bankrolled by liberal billionaire George Soros provided over $1.2 million to the left-wing group that previously bailed out the individual charged with killing several people in Texas, including his parents.
Shane James, 34, is accused of killing six people and injuring others in Bexar County and Austin. James served as a U.S. Army Infantry officer from February 2013 to August 2015 and has been charged with several counts of capital murder.
In January 2022, James was charged with aggravated assault against his mother, father, and sister, Fox San Antonio reported. Bail records showed he was bonded out by the Texas Organizing Project, a nonprofit focused on progressive issues

The U.S. House of Representatives voted 221-197 Wednesday evening to pass the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act, which would strike down federal regulations that target gas-powered vehicles.
Two hundred and sixteen and five Democrats voted in favor. The measure will next go to the Senate, where it’s enjoyed bipartisan support. President Biden issued a statement Monday, however, vowing to veto the bill if and when it hits his desk.
The president and his administration have been aggressive in pushing electric vehicles, and this bill is designed to stymie efforts to have the government decide what kind of car you can drive.

Giving the pol who told women being raped to 'lie back and enjoy it,' a run for his money, we now have this unwanted advice, from the chief of a women's advocacy group: (Snip) Graves was giving testimony in Congress about transgender athletes dominating women's sports, owing to their athletically superior biological male bodily structures.
She claimed that transgender athletes, who are basically taking virtually all the medals in women's sports now, are no different from actual women in competitive sports. Winning, she claimed with a smiley face, was all about "having really good resources and facilities," "coaching" and "how hard you work."

Far-left squad leader Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) made the false claim that “all” girls will have their genitals examined if laws are passed banning men from women’s sports.
The noted socialist made her bizarre claim during a hearing with the House Oversight Subcommittee on Health this Tuesday, which featured activist swimmer Riley Gaines. According to AOC, laws banning men from women’s sports include policies that would force girls to have their genitals checked if someone disbelieves their expressed gender.
“We are talking about opening up all women and girls to genital examinations

Jazz pointed out yesterday that Israel seemed to be preparing to flood the so-called Gaza Metro, the tunnels that Hamas uses to hide themselves and the hostages from Israel. Today, it seems they are moving forward with the plan. (X) Here’s a view of the supply pipes out to the sea. And this is apparently the first clip of the tunnels being flooded. The first time I saw this suggested was about a month ago (I wrote about Israel’s options, including this one, here). Here’s the argument the author made:
The Gaza tunnel system, mostly constructed over the last forty years, provides Hamas with offensive access to Israel.

Happy Wednesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) Although things have been shifting in China's direction for years, the United States of America is still the superpower on the geopolitical block. In a better world, we would delay the ChiCom ascendancy for as long as possible, but that's difficult to do with a weak, addled president whose brain is being run by a bunch of "America last" progressives.
This is a most dangerous and inopportune time for the United States to have a weak chief executive. The worst people in the world tend to act up a lot when there is a lack of spine in the White House.

Sometimes, I could watch Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) all day. Kennedy was his classic self on Tuesday while questioning FBI Director Christopher Wray about Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop and why the FBI didn’t come out before the 2020 election and admit that the laptop was, in fact, real. Wray fidgeted and squirmed his way through his answer. "Why didn't the FBI just say, 'Hey, the laptop's real?'" Kennedy asked. "Why didn't you tell everybody, 'The laptop's real; we're not vouching for what's on it, but it's real. This isn't a fiction'?"
"Well, I, as you might imagine, the FBI cannot — especially at a time like that — be

How many miscarriages of justice must one man endure?
Derek Chauvin, the convicted murderer of George Floyd who was recently stabbed 22 times by an FBI informant, is recovering, and has just been released from the hospital. He has, however, been sent back to the same Arizona prison unit where he was stabbed, with no additional protection. According to a Monday report from Rochester, Minnesota’s KTSP, Chauvin’s attorney Gregory Erickson said: “I had a telephone conference with Derek’s family yesterday, and they confirmed that his medical condition has improved to the extent that he has been removed from the trauma care facility at a local Tucson hospital

America in the twenty-first century has been on an accelerating descent not unlike what befell ancient Rome. For some four centuries Rome’s Senate and constitution provided continuity which sustained the Roman Republic through various challenges. But in the end, what befell Rome from barbarian invasion, political corruption, and mobs that were manipulated and used by its Caesars, was a rampage against reason and freedom, leading to the Republic’s demise and transition to a centralized imperial authority under emperors.
America's style and state of political decline and cultural degeneration differ in many ways from that of ancient Rome, but the big picture has striking similarities.

Happy Tuesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) The Democrats and their idiot cheerleaders in the media have long been known for exhibiting textbook cases of projection when accusing Republicans of almost anything.
In my most recent column, I examine the new fever-pitch false narrative about the "alarm" that Donald Trump will end free elections and trample on civil rights if he returns to the presidency. Honestly, even if he did go that route, he would have a difficult time one-upping the current occupant of the White House.

Yep, "Bidenomics." Hustler Joe Biden has continued to tout the ridiculous term like a slick snake oil salesman long after the vast majority of the country has rejected it outright. Still, Lyin' Biden has continued to push. "C'mon! Don't believe your lying eyes, America! Bidenomics is the best thing since sliced bread!" Except it isn't. It never was.
Now, someone else isn't buying it. And that "someone" is the House Democrat Caucus.
House Democrats have finally rejected the White House's months-long smoke-and-mirrors campaign to sell the silly term. And why wouldn't they? Better question: Why'd they wait so long?
