The Biden Administration is forging ahead with its green agenda by committing the United States to not building any new coal plants and phasing out existing plants. U.S. Special Envoy for Climate John Kerry announced at the annual United Nations climate change summit, known as COP28 and which is being held in Dubai, although no date was given for when the existing plants would have to go. "We will be working to accelerate unabated coal phase-out across the world, building stronger economies and more resilient communities.”

If you do that, then let's build a nuclear plant for every coal plant you dismantle. Cheaper, cleaner and btw, get new jobs for the coal folks you're hosing.

The Democrats must have trademarked "democratic" and threatened to sue if we ever presumed to govern democratically again. The dictators have ditched any pretense at being democratic, since PDJT declared his intention of draining the swamp...

Umm..the US does not build coal plants. Companies do (or did). Kerry is not authorized to make treaties for the US. Neither is Biden. Eventually, the conflict between needing more e power for more people for more uses is going to run afoul of the dream to abandon fossil, ignore nuc, and now to demolish hydro dams.

Since when do special envoys get the right to legislate us? That buffoon needs to go back to Massachusetts in his carbon creating airplane and leave the people who actually work for a loving alone.

Dan Bongino says "it is not bad enough yet" for many Americans to become truly alarmed. But I think we are rapidly reaching critical mass. I am betting on a terrible event to wake EVERYONE up. Of course, at that point, it will be too late. Just asking the readers. Do any of your friends or family seem concerned?
We are witnessing our nation" die by a thousand cuts". Watching an individual commit suicide is horrible. Watching the greatest country on the planet do it is unthinkable.

It's Kerry's usual PR camera noise. He didn't actually say anything would change or by when or how it would happen. He weasel worded (because he is a weasel) it saying we are "working" on it.
Just more Kerry puffery which will come to nothing just like his entire political career and adult life.

You just know these narcissists are going to tape every moment of this COP28. We'll be able to see the attendees double over in laughter at the stupidity of a once-great nation they called the United States! I hope they send Spotted Owl Gore over to Dubai on his mother ship.

After making this announcement, John Kerry climbed into his limo and was driven to the airport where he boarded his private jet and headed for home, just in time to take his yacht on a weekend cruise.

The IS did not commit to anything. John Kerry said the US would get rid of coal plants. John Kerry can say whatever he wants. Last I knew, only Congress (Senate) approved treats to commit the US to things. A self important blowhard like John Kerry thinks he has more power than he actually does.

This is insane. But maybe such statements will help dislodge Democrat senators in coal producing states of PA, OH, WV, and MT next year.

Where did unelected and unaccountable John ("Do you know who I am?) Francois Kerry get the authority to make any commitments to anyone about anything? The horse-faced thumb sucker needs to run back to the Teresa Heinz compound safe place.
