Coweta County, GA – An alleged home intruder wanted on multiple warrants was found dead on the front porch of a residence after he broke into a house and was mauled to death by two dogs, according to police. Coweta County sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on Walt Sanders Road off of North Highway 29 at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 24 after the homeowner returned to his house and found a man dead on his porch, The Newnan Times-Herald reported. The deceased man was later identified as 21-year-old Alex Binyam Abraha, an Atlanta resident who was wanted on multiple warrants out of Fulton County, according to WTVT.

The perp’s family is confused by the police. Pretty simple conclusion, don’t break into houses. Getting shot is probably more common. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

Well, that's just a doggone shame.
Amazing, the dogs are put in confinement for 10 days to see if they have rabies, but in the rest of the country predators are released before the cops finish the paperwork

I used have neighbors with a pit bull that thought it was a chihuahua and always wanted to sit on my lap. I never saw her be anything other than a cream puff but always was wary of her. One day, one or more perps broke into the house, and the dog was in the back yard on a chain. She broke her chain going after the perps as they went through the back yard. My neighbor found the stash of stolen items piled in the living room waiting to be taken out, pieces of torn clothing scattered in the yard, and blood splatters in the yard and going over the wooden backyard fence. Sounds like he was lucky he didn't find a body as well. The perps were lucky there weren't two pit bulls.

Question …. why is it that the perpetrator is always “alleged” but, flatly stated, the dogs mauled him, no “alleged” status given to the dogs. Stories are always written this way, “alleged” bad guy…”presumed guilty” good guy.

FTA: "Abraha’s family established a fundraising page to help “support them financially with funeral expenses and planning his final resting place” as they search “for a sense of closure.”"
Seems to me that his final breathing resting place was on the porch.

The article says the family is in search “for a sense of closure.”
The closure is, your relative was a criminal, who broke in to a house, where he was mauled to death by two dogs.

A guy BREAKS THE LAW by breaking into a house, and the dogs protect themselves. Whats the problem. Did the guy threaten the dogs? Did he have a gun, or any other weapon. maybe a stick. Dogs were just doing what you and I would have done. Protect themselves. Dogs did the people in that neighborhood a favor. And no, they should not be confined, for any reason.
Oh, and anyone who contributes to the go fund me...is nuts!

# 11 - the confinement of dogs that attack someone must be nationwide. In 1984, my son, 7 years old at the time, was attacked by a pit bull. The law mandated the dog be held in confinement for 10 days to make sure he didn't have rabies. He didn't. I don't have a problem with that. The only closure his family will get is when they hire a lawyer to sue the homeowner so 'no one else has to go through this.' Yeah, right.

We have 6 dogs, two are crated at night. One is a mastiff mix, there’s a Akita, an American Bully and a pit/charpai mix. Not smalls dogs is what I’m saying. My husband said the other day of anyone breaks in and they don’t attack, he’s killing everyone of them when he gets home. I just need them to slow down an intruder while I grab my 20 gauge. These dogs did what they were supposed to do. Protect the home front.

I'm sure those dogs were barking up a storm before he actually broke in. One would think that the barking dogs would be enough to scare anyone away.

I have pit bulls. As a breed they are rather quiet dogs. Not a lot of barking. Barking is dogs giving a warning. Actually the quiet dogs are the ones that mean business. Pit bulls are not the dogs that are going to warn you. They accelerate quickly. My pit bulls would not take kindly to anyone entering the home while I was away. When I'm there they take the que from me and do as I tell them.

After all, "dog" spelled backwards is "God." Two pit bulls sent Abraha.into the bosom of Abraham, or into some place drier and hotter. He probably needed something like Gov. Rick Perry's "Coyote Special" (a 6+1 capacity Ruger LCP .380). You can almost hear Sheriff John Bunnell's killer grinning didacticism as he tells the viewers that if Abra hadn't broken into the home, he wouldn't have assumed doghouse temperature.
Inspector Jacques Clousseau once asked a German innkeeper' "Does your deug bite?" Sometimes they do.

Dogs do not understand human laws, only the laws of nature. Number one is to protect the home and person of the people who take care of them. I have a Golden Retriever, one of the most benevolent dogs on the planet. While walking him on a leash, we were attacked by a boxer that was running loose. My Retriever defended us with one good, effective bite and the attack was over in seconds. Never underestimate the love and loyalty of any dog. That comment was uncalled for, #28.

#4, we used to have a pit bull, lost her last year to cancer. She was the sweetest dog we’ve ever had, got along great with our greyhounds, horses and cats. But she was very protective of us and our home and would have reacted this way to any invader. They get a bad rap but they’re great dogs if they are raised correctly.

Dogs DO know the difference between children, adults, men and women.
They pick up ques quickly and notice when someone is acting strangely and might be a threat.
When I walk my pit bulls, they are clam walking past people, dogs, etc. It's what be practice and achieve. The dog trusts me to lead.
Only occasionally will they take notice of someone and it's almost always an adult male who is acting strange - or not the norm. I can tell that the posture changes (body, ears, eyes) change. They take notice of someone who acts strangely and they become alert. I feel they can sense what I can't.
Every pit bull I've owned liked and was very tolerant of children. Were around children a lot and loved them. They seemed to like children better than adults.
