The Princess of Wales brushed off the fallout from a race row this evening as she glistened in a show-stopping gown upon arrival at the Royal Variety Performance. Kate, 41, paired her stunning £1,288 Talina gown from Safiyaa with an equally dazzling smile as she stepped out in Kensington, showing no sign of anguish after a turbulent week for the royal family following the release of a bombshell book.(Snip)The pair identified in the book were named widely by media organisations around the world tonight, including the Guardian and the Times, as King Charles and Kate.

House Republicans appear to be in a better position to capitalize off of a wave of congressional retirements, as there are more Democratic-held open seats in swing districts that pose an opportunity for the GOP to flip in 2024.
There are currently 31 House members who are not seeking another term in the lower chamber, including 20 Democrats and 11 Republicans — nearly all of whom hold seats that are considered safe for the GOP. Four Democratic-held open seats in battleground districts in Michigan, Virginia and California are most likely to flip red, while several other seats are also up for grabs by the GOP in 2024, according to

As I write this, the debate between Gavin Newsom and Ron DeSantis is entering the final stretch, but short of a miracle turnaround, a winner has already emerged. DeSantis has hammered Newsom with facts throughout the night, and to Sean Hannity's credit, he's put up graphics with each question that have helped expose the California governor's continued lies.
Once things end, there will be a lot to cover (and a heck of a lot to fact-check on Newsom's part), but one moment was just too good to not go ahead and share. In it, DeSantis began to recollect a conversation he had with a man who had

MoveOn is the progressive activist group that was founded back in 1998 to convince people Bill Clinton hadn’t done anything terribly serious with Monica Lewinsky, at least nothing impeachment worthy. They ultimately lost that battle but the group still exists to pull PR stunts like this one from a couple days ago. But it seems the group is having some money problems as they just announced they’d be laying off 18 workers.
The liberal activist organization MoveOn laid off at least 18 employees this week, in the latest sign of a slowdown in donations from small donors to left-leaning causes and candidates.

A New York appeals court on Thursday reinstated a gag order against former President Donald Trump, preventing him from talking about court staff involved in the State of New York’s civil case alleging business fraud against him and his eldest sons.
In an order Thursday, the First Judicial Department of the Appellate Division for the Supreme Court of New York vacated an interim relief that blocked Justice Arthur Engoron’s initial gag on Trump, prohibiting him from making public statements about his law clerk, Allison Greenfield. Four justices issued the order on Thursday, including presiding Justice Sallie Manzanet-Daniels and Associate Justices Ellen Gesmer, Saliann Scarpulla, and Llinét M. Rosado.

Trian said that it spoke with Iger this week, and that Disney extended an offer for Trian to meet with its board of directors. However, the board also said that it would not extend an offer for Peltz to join it as a director.

The city of Minneapolis was the site of the infamous 2020 incident that turned George Floyd into a cultural icon and kicked the “defund the police” movement into high gear. Riots across the nation followed, with billions of dollars in damage caused and dozens of people being killed. Floyd was lionized to the point where the city named the intersection where he died “George Floyd Square.” But that was three years ago and some things have changed since then. Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that many of those things have not changed, but people have become fed up with them.

Electric vehicles (EVs) have vastly more problems that arise than gas-powered cars, a new report of American consumers reveals.
The survey from Consumer Reports, which asked owners of about 330,000 vehicles about issues they faced over the last year, found that EVs have almost 80 percent more problems than gas-powered cars using traditional combustion engines.
Most problems consumers face with EVs, the report suggests, are long charging times, a lack of charging stations in general, issues with the lithium-ion battery, outer and interior parts not fitting precisely, and engine failures.

Say what? As bad as we expected the Antony Blinken Lecture Tour in Jerusalem to be, even I wouldn’t have predicted that a US Secretary of State would have said this to a country victimized by a massive terror attack that killed 1400 people. That is, if Blinken actually told the Israelis that they don’t have enough “credit” to fight Hamas to the finish. The transcript comes from the Times of Israel, which translated it from a Hebrew transcript leaked to Israel’s Channel 12 News. Could something have gotten lost in translation? Perhaps, but it’s not the only eyebrow-raising part of the exchange, either. It begins with Blinken

The lack of a “plan B” suggests Biden is putting the Democrat Party in a bind. According to a recent survey exclusively reported by Breitbart News, the top three descriptions of Biden by likely registered voters depicted the 81-year-old as low energy. The top three options (out of ten possibilities) respondents chose to describe Biden are:

A New York Appeals Court on Thursday reinstated a gag order against President Trump in Letitia James’s Soviet-style civil fraud case.
Earlier this month a New York Appeals judge temporarily lifted NY Judge Arthur Engoron’s gag order on Trump.
New York Attorney General Letitia James is seeking $250 million in ‘damages’ in her lawfare case against President Trump. Appellate judge David Friedman stayed Engoron’s gag order citing Trump’s First Amendment rights a couple of weeks ago.
In late October Judge Engoron put Trump on the witness stand after he blasted the former president and accused him of violating the gag order with his remarks to the press. He also fined Trump $10,000.

In a blow to the "ceasefire now" crowd, including clownishly antisemitic politicians like Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Hamas leadership has let it be known that they don't want a ceasefire.
The first indication of that came on Thursday when Hamas carried out a terrorist attack in Jerusalem, leaving three dead and dozens injured. If that wasn't clear enough, though, Hamas' leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar let it be known on the same day that the October 7th attacks were just a rehearsal. [Tweet]

Earlier this month, Durbin briefly backed off his conquest to subpoena Leo and Crow. Today, he blatantly disregarded Senate process and voted to do just that.

We've been calling out how the Democratic Party has increasingly accepted anti-Semitism for years now, but when a prominent leftist U.S. Senator, who also happens to be Jewish, is willing to acknowledge where the rise of anti-Semitism in America is coming from, that's significant.

While some focused their coverage of the speech by highlighting Schumer's attack on Trump, the media largely ignored the noteworthy part.

When Gavin Newsom debates Ron DeSantis Thursday night on Fox News, voters might finally hear a serious discussion of an issue that most politicians and journalists have wanted to forget: the disastrous mistakes of the Covid-19 pandemic. For voters contemplating the 2024 presidential election, that issue is vital, as Covid was by far the most revealing test of leadership over the past four years—not just for those two governors, but also for Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
With the possible exception of the Great Depression, no domestic crisis of the past century and a half has been more catastrophic for the nation’s social fabric and economy than the Covid pandemic.

The U.S. government is willing to help build enough new clean energy projects in the Pacific Northwest to replace the hydropower generated by four controversial dams on the Snake River, according to a leaked Biden administration document that is giving hope to conservationists who have long sought the removal of the dams as a key to restoring depleted salmon runs.
Still, Congress would have to agree before any of the Lower Snake River dams in Washington state are removed, and that’s unlikely to happen in the near future.

President Joe Biden confusing Taylor Swift and Britney Spears may have been funny, but a continued inability to connect with young people, especially young Democrats, will not be a laughing matter for his reelection campaign next year.
With hypothetical head-to-head polling indicating a close race between Biden and likely 2024 Republican nominee former President Donald Trump, every vote will count in 12 months. Biden's support of Israel amid its war against Hamas has strained the president's relationship with young people, including Democrats, who are more open to criticizing Israel than their older counterparts

Joe Biden has apparently noticed that the price of everything is much higher on his watch than a few years ago. He is now asking sellers to just lower their prices.
As a viral commercial once said. That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.
Companies don’t lower prices just because inflation is politically inconvenient for the president and his party. (X) From the New York Post: Biden admits prices ‘too high’ but blames sellers for 18% inflation
President Biden acknowledged Monday that prices are still “too high” and argued that companies should lower them after an 18% jump in consumer costs since he took office.

Home Depot Billionaire and GOP mega-donor Bernie Marcus said he would continue to financially back former President Donald Trump even if he is convicted of wrongdoing in the mermaid of legal cases that Marcus called “all trumped up.”
Marcus’ loyalty to the former president suggests Trump’s longtime allies are likely to remain by his side as he seeks reelection to dismantle the administrative state. Marcus told Reuters he believed Trump could fix President Joe Biden’s sluggish economy and repair America’s foreign policy, the outlet reported:Asked in an interview with Reuters whether he would still support Trump if he were convicted, Marcus replied,

In the first weeks of the Israel-Hamas war, President Joe Biden privately pointed to praise for his unconditional public support of Israel, as well as some initial successes in influencing its government, as vindication of advice he said President Barack Obama and his closest aides dismissed, according to five people familiar with his comments.
Biden recounted in private that when he was vice president in 2014 and Israel mounted a military assault on Gaza, Obama and his staff rejected his belief, held for decades, that the best way to approach the Israelis is to hug them close but not criticize them, the people familiar with his comments

With the Iowa caucuses less than 50 days away, one of GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's top political advisers is leaving to work for former President Donald Trump's campaign, according to multiple sources familiar with the move.
Brian Swensen, who served as Ramaswamy's national political director since the spring and was a key player in the campaign's work in New Hampshire, confirmed to CBS News he is leaving and directed further questions about his future role to the Trump campaign.

Robert F Kennedy Jr has struck a private deal with an ‘obsessed stalker’ after the Biden administration refused repeated demands to provide security for the independent presidential candidate.
Jonathan Macht, a realtor from Pacific Palisades has agreed to stay at least 100 yards away from the head of the Kennedy dynasty after breaking into his California home twice on the same day, and sending him hundreds of emails.
Kennedy, 69, the son of his assassinated namesake, was at the home in Brentwood with his wife Cheryl Hines at the time of the break-ins on October 25, and was due to seek a restraining order in court today.

Today a blithering throng of nascent tyrants, fevered zealots, useless office-holders, hypocrites and ignoble grifters will gather to kick off 28th United Nations Conference of the Parties in the grand pursuit of “global transformative climate action.” For nearly two weeks they will rail and prattle endlessly about how important it is to end fossil fuel use, nag those they slander as “deniers,” tell new lies, restate old lies, hold themselves up as saviors, dine sumptuously – then board jets, many of them privately owned, that burn oceans of hydrocarbon-based aviation fuel to return home.

Henry Kissinger, the toweringly influential former secretary of state who earned a reputation as a sagacious diplomat but drew international condemnation and accusations of war crimes for his key role in widening the American presence in Vietnam and the U.S. bombing of Cambodia, died Wednesday.
He was 100.
Kissinger, a Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany, reached the pinnacle of the American political establishment and in turn became an unlikely household name. He was secretary of state and national security adviser under two Republican presidents

As Israel exchanges Palestinian criminals and terrorists for innocent Israelis taken captive by Hamas during the 10/7 massacres, we learned that at least one American was among the freed hostages – a four-year-old little girl named Abigail Edan. Abigail’s parents were murdered by Hamas during the attack.
This is welcome news, of course, and President Joe Biden took some personal credit for her release, but there’s an interesting coincidence that The Drill Down’s hosts Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers can’t ignore: Abigail’s great aunt is Elizabeth (Liz) Naftali, a wealthy real estate investor in Los Angeles’s fashion district and a large contributor to the Democratic Party and to the Biden family.

This is the incredible moment a 'hero' Israeli hostage stared down a masked Hamas terrorist as she was finally released following 53 days in captivity.
Rimon Kirsht, 36, was part of the fifth group of Israeli and foreign hostages who were handed back over to Israel on Tuesday as part of a fragile ceasefire deal which is currently set to end tomorrow morning.
International mediators are working to extend the truce in Gaza, encouraging Hamas terrorists to keep freeing hostages in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners and further relief from Israel's air and ground offensive.

Thursday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and California Gov. Gavin Newsom will face off on Fox News in the great “Red State vs. Blue State” debate, AKA the GovShove or the Acrimonica in Alpharetta or Sir Galahad’s Lament .
Whatever it is dubbed, the debate is important for both men, with DeSantis – why didn’t he wait until ’28? – having to prove that his terrible campaign has been a mere eight-month “oopsy” and with Newsom having to prove that he is a human being and not just an autobot bred for office by the San Francisco elite.
Over the past few months – with DeSantis’ campaign having been

Ultra-liberal residents of the Californian city of Oakland booed their Jewish neighbors and denied the Hamas October 7 attack at a shocking town meeting on Monday night. The city council was voting on a permanent ceasefire resolution demanding peace in the Middle East and residents spent six hours sharing their thoughts, starting with a moment of silence for civilian victims. [SNIP] Among those there was Jewish City Councilmember Dan Kalb, who was eviscerated when he dared to suggest that the wording of the resolution be changed to include the October 7 attack.

JERUSALEM — Israel and Hamas on Thursday agreed to extend a temporary truce by another day minutes before it was set to expire, said Qatar, which has been mediating between the two sides.
Negotiations on extending it came down to the wire, with last-minute disagreements over the hostages to be freed by Hamas in exchange for another day of a halt in fighting.
Word of the extension came just as the truce was to expire at 7 a.m. (0500 GMT) Thursday. The Qatari Foreign Ministry said the truce was being extended under the same terms as in the past, under which Hamas has released 10 Israeli hostages per day in exchange
