After criticism for Biden skipping global
climate summit, White House to send Kamala Harris

After receiving criticism from experts and climate activists over President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris skipping the global United Nations summit in Dubai, the White House has now decided to send Harris. Reuters reported back in October that Biden wouldn’t be attending the annual conference, though he had attended the climate summits in 2021 and 2022. Biden aides told Reuters that conflict in the Middle East arising out of the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel and the president's reelection campaign were demanding his time.

Comments:

The climate is a thing that is all around us. It.s here - - it's over there - - and over there - - and it's even way over there. And if we're here - - and it's here - - and we go over there - - it's over there too. It has a way of being where we are and when we are - - no matter where we are and when we are. So if you're here - - or if you're there - - you know that the climate will be here - - and there too.

We need Flounder from Animal House to say, "Oh boy, is this great!" before the upcoming performance at the summit, which might sound this way: VPOTUS Heels Up: “The significance of the passage of time, right? The significance of the passage of time. So when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time.” I am transported. This is so deep. I feel like Beavis, and I'm swimming in Lake Titicaca, hoping I won't get eaten by something that doesn't exist. LOL. You have to laugh. To some, this Demolition Derby administration is better than Trump's metaphorical Formula 1.

What I read from Biden's absence is that he has deteriorated to the point that his handlers don't want other world leaders to see him close up. I expect Joe to appear at very few such meetings in the future, and always under the tightest control. Kommie-La-La provides the same embarrassment in a slightly more appealing package.

George Santos is not leaving quietly. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) for falsely pulling a fire alarm two months ago.

Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon sparked a backlash from state lawmakers when he discussed plans to make the Cowboy State carbon dioxide-neutral during a talk at Harvard last month. “It is clear that we have a warming climate. It is clear that carbon dioxide is a major contributor to that challenge. There is an urgency to addressing this issue,” Gordon said during the “Decarbonizing The West” talk. The governor added that the problem won’t be solved by turning off fossil fuels, and he promoted the use of carbon capture and sequestration.

New MTA reporting shows farebeating on buses and subways is still rising — a clear warning that broader public disorder is ahead. Just what New York needs when Mayor Adams is looking to shrink the NYPD. Reminder: A crackdown on farebeating was the first major step in the city’s historic gains against crime starting back in the 1990s. Bill Bratton, then chief of the MTA police, directed that effort in order to make the subways safer: If you commit a casual crime to enter the system, he realized, you become more likely to commit worse crimes while you’re there.

DUBLIN — In the 12 months leading up to April this year, 141,600 immigrants landed in Ireland. The Irish population has increased by more than 2%. If the US had similar immigration, it would mean 9 million extra people. This is the highest level since the prosperous “Celtic Tiger” era of the late ’90s. Ireland’s non-nationals comprise a whopping 20% of the population. The tinder box of immigration blew open Thursday with a mass riot in Dublin following the stabbing of a number of young children outside a school near the main street.

Harris, 59, was roasted over the post, with many conservatives accusing her of “hypocrisy.”

Hundreds of “radicalized” kids rampaged through the halls of a Queens high school this week for nearly two hours after they discovered a teacher had attended a pro-Israel rally — forcing the terrified educator to hide in a locked office as the teen mob tried to push its way into her classroom, The Post has learned. The mayhem at Hillcrest High School in Jamaica unfolded shortly after 11 a.m. Monday in what students called a pre-planned protest over the teacher’s Facebook profile photo showing her at a pro-Israel rally on Queens Oct. 9 holding a poster saying, “I stand with Israel.”

In addition, 66% of arrests involved a juvenile defendant, highlighting D.C.’s ongoing problem with youth crime at a time when the D.C. Attorney General is being criticized for his comparatively soft approach to youth crimes.

The impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden is gaining momentum as more evidence comes out to back allegations that the president himself financially benefited from the overseas business dealings of his son, Hunter. While Republicans will find it very difficult to get the needed supermajority to impeach Biden, the mounting evidence and media coverage would be another obstacle for Biden to overcome as he campaigns for reelection.

Say what? As bad as we expected the Antony Blinken Lecture Tour in Jerusalem to be, even I wouldn’t have predicted that a US Secretary of State would have said this to a country victimized by a massive terror attack that killed 1400 people. That is, if Blinken actually told the Israelis that they don’t have enough “credit” to fight Hamas to the finish. Perhaps, but it’s not the only eyebrow-raising part of the exchange, either. It begins with Blinken
