One of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims has died of an apparent accidental overdose, but her mother wants police to dig deeper.
Carolyn Andriano’s testimony was instrumental in convicting the sex trafficker’s partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, behind bars, and the 36-year-old mother of five was in the process of starting a new life for herself in North Carolina, The Daily Beast reports. PUEBLO COUNTY — Interstate 25 between Colorado Springs and Pueblo remains closed at mile marker 107 following the derailment of several train cars carrying coal Sunday afternoon.
Colorado State Patrol confirmed Sunday evening a tractor-trailer driver was killed when 12 cars from a BNSF train came off the railway overpass. The name of the driver has not been released.
The railway overpass partially collapsed in the derailment. The crash is expected to impact travel on Interstate 25 between Colorado Springs and Pueblo for a significant amount of time as debris is on the rail tracks and the interstate.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas criticized Hamas on Sunday but then seemingly walked the comment back, when it was removed from a report in the PA’s mouthpiece news agency WAFA.
A report in WAFA initially said that Abbas told Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro that Hamas’s policies and actions “do not represent the Palestinian people,” and the Palestine Liberation Organization is the only legitimate representative of the Palestinian people. Later, that section was removed so that Hamas was no longer mentioned in the statement, which now says only that the PLO is “the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, and not the policies of any other organization.”
Foreign Minister Eli Cohen has strong words for the Vatican, telling the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States Paul Gallagher that Israel “expects the Vatican to come out with a clear and unequivocal condemnation of the murderous terrorist actions of Hamas terrorists who harmed women, children and the elderly for the sole fact that they are Jews and Israelis.”

President Joe Biden potentially retained sensitive documents about the Biden family business’s involvement with foreign countries, House Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-KY) suggested Monday in a letter to special counsel Robert Hur.
Hur, appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland, is investigating Biden for the mishandling of classified material; this relates to his possession of documents from when he was vice president. As part of his probe, he reportedly interviewed the president last week for two hours. Suzanne Somers, best remembered for her starring role in the iconic 1970s sitcom Three’s Company, has passed away at age 76. Somers leaves behind a husband and a son, and I send both of them my condolences. Her passing reminded me of the fact that Three’s Company was both a show from a much more innocent time as well as a show that paved the way for the cultural dissolution that characterizes 2023.

With the world’s attention still riveted by Hamas’ terrorist attacks against Israel, the death and destruction of the Russia-Ukraine war, now in its 21st month, goes on. During the conflict, President Joe Biden has put the U.S. forward as a potential peace broker. Do average Americans believe his plan is working?
To find the answer, the October I&I/TIPP Poll asked voters: “How satisfied are you with the Biden administration’s efforts to find a settlement to the Russia-Ukraine conflict?”
The response, after more than $113 billion in U.S. military and humanitarian aid, is not much.
I typically write my Townhall columns a couple of days ahead of time, and I hope that events don’t overcome this one. Why am I worried? Because what I’m writing about now is the deadly threat that our incompetent elite, led by that senile, corrupt, dust puppet masquerading as our president, have allowed to fester in our country. Last Thursday, I wrote about how the left literally wants to see you raped and murdered. Well, the left has also left the door open for the murderers. Now, half the Third World is waltzing across our southern border, and how do you think this is going to end?

Those were bad, but the complete interview was even worse.
First, we should note that there was a little bit of water-carrying for Joe Biden with host Scott Pelley saying that the president was fitting them into his busy schedule on Thursday. Biden had his 10 a.m. daily briefing and a 4:30 meeting where he just had to sit and listen to CEOs, how is that busy? Maybe it's "busy" for an 80-year-old who has so many issues. But that's why he shouldn't even be there.

When a country is invaded by a foreign power, the only sane response is to retaliate with massive, overwhelming, disproportionate force. And when an invader commits the kinds of atrocities that we have seen over the last week, unprecedented in modern times, vengeance must be the order of the day.
War is a terrible thing. But the Gazans started this war, and war is what they are going to get. Every resulting casualty should be laid at the foot of Hamas and all Gazans who have supported and collaborated with Hamas–a large majority, by all indications.
But there is something else going on,
Reports are emerging that the Hamas terrorist group is preventing civilians from evacuating northern Gaza, killing innocent Palestinians who try to leave, and preventing American citizens from using the Rafah border crossing to escape to Egypt.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Jonathan Conricus has been warning for days that Hamas is preventing civilians from leaving Gaza ahead of an anticipated ground war. He cited both Israeli and international sources in an interview on CNN Sunday: The Times of Israel noted that Conricus expanded on that point during a question-and-answer session on Twitter/X Sunday, accusing Hamas of attacking a column of Palestinian civilians trying to evacuate, killing 70:
Thomas Jefferson, in an 1816 letter to a member of the Virginia General Assembly, made this observation: “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.” He wrote this passage to highlight the need for a system of primary schools in the Old Dominion. Eventually, the Commonwealth did establish a public school system, though Jefferson didn’t live to see it. That is just as well, perhaps. He would certainly be horrified by the ignorance of the people who attend and receive diplomas from our public schools.
