When a country is invaded by a foreign power, the only sane response is to retaliate with massive, overwhelming, disproportionate force. And when an invader commits the kinds of atrocities that we have seen over the last week, unprecedented in modern times, vengeance must be the order of the day.
War is a terrible thing. But the Gazans started this war, and war is what they are going to get. Every resulting casualty should be laid at the foot of Hamas and all Gazans who have supported and collaborated with Hamas–a large majority, by all indications.
But there is something else going on,

Why is Israel is the only country in the world that when it is attacked, it is hectored by everyone else to suck-it-up and stand down? The only time Jews receive the world's sympathies is when the are on the brink of extinction. What is most surprising is how many of Israel's enemies are Jews themselves.

Okay, there are some "good" Palestinians. Some have even spoken to the media and criticized Hamas at risk of being ostracized by the majority of Hamas sympathizers that make up Gaza but they are very few. As a culture they are useless and a huge failure. They cry about being in an open-air prison. Every time they have been given access to Israel they have built bombs and rockets and murdered Jews. Every time. They have had over fifty years to pull themselves out of the mud and haven't even tried. We have cultures like that in the West and we know what it's like, cultures that love being victims and blaming their problems on somebody else. Israel just happens to be saddled with a festering sore that needs to be eliminated and now is the time.

This "two state solution" is nothing but b.s. You can't "coexist" with people who want desperately to eradicate you. Something we better tune into in this country really fast.

The only purpose of the "Palestinian" and their "leadership" is to assault and eradicate Israel. The "PLO", the creation of a Palestinian "state", was created and MARKETED for this purpose and to create a "victim" that other anti Israel governments and groups could support without seeming to support terrorism.
It is insane that Israel has been pushed to accept such a rabid, vicious entity on its border and pushed to make "peace" with a feral, barbaric enemy.
Further, the Jewish mindset seems to be susceptible to the mantra of "seeking peace at almost any cost". Israel had hubris over seeking to "contain" and protect itself from the poison in Gaza and thinking the situation could be resolved over time, like trying to domesticate a pack of wild dogs that a neighbor was keeping in his back yard. Left alone, that might have been achieved with great difficulty. The external influences from Iran and others made it impossible from the outset. The numerous negotiations that gave the "Palestinians" almost all of what they wanted but were left on the table PROVED that there was yet another goal of the negotiations that could not be spoken or accepted, the eradication of Israel. Israel was deluded that it's success of a negotiated peace with countries like Egypt could be replicated with the Palestinians whose very essence and purpose was the destruction of Israel.
Even now, Israel's stated goal of the eradication of Hamas, is too limited. Their goal should be the removal of a vicious and dedicated enemy from their borders. No country should have to live with a neighbor who is continually lobbing missiles at them or launching raids into their country. If needed, Gaza should be razed and the people relocated. Not surprisingly, none of the other Arab counties want them.
The next step should be the eradication of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

"When a country is invaded by a foreign power, the only sane response is to retaliate with massive, overwhelming, disproportionate force." The Biden Administration tolerates an invasion of the US daily.

The "Palestinians" are like too many black in America: always blaming others for their own created problems. Billions pumped into black American families for decades and still the ghetto thrives. Billions pumped into Gaza and still a ghetto while their leaders enjoy their enlarged Swiss bank accounts.

The point about children abusing children is a deeper problem than mere childish taunting. Muslim children are taught from a very young age to hate. I have a friend working in peaceful little Kuwait and have spent time there myself. Some Kuwaitis remember what America did for them when Saddam invaded and are still grateful. My friend's children were placed in a Kuwaiti school and are taunted and teased by the Kuwaiti children. People from other countries such as India, the Phillipines, Pakistan and North Africa serve as slaves and are routinely raped and degraded. The rich members of the established families who live on the tremendous oil profits are spoiled and arrogant beyond belief. They routinely give their 16-year-olds Ferraris and Maseratis for their birthdays and these kids turn the few long highways into race tracks. Kuwaiti society is a preview of what all muslims want, total domination.

Hinderaker is spot on: ostracizing the Palestinian hate culture until it reforms itself is the only solution, short of total annihilation. It worked for the Nazis, and can work again.
Only problem: large segments of the West are drowning in a tidal wave of identity politics, and those same viewpoints, rather than ostracize bona fide domestic terrorists like BLM, Antifa, and roving flash gangs of store looters, celebrate them, and anyone else who claims to be oppressed..facts be damned.
Hinderaker's solution, while potentially viable, won't work until we rediscover the Judeo-Christian moral standards on which America was founded, and on which it prospered for 200 years.

It appears that both Biden and the Iranians currently hold the same position that it would be a “mistake” for Israel to initiate a ground attack on Gaza to destroy the Hamas Islamist terrorist organization in Gaza. While Biden said that he is confident that Israel will militarily operate within the “rules of war” on which he did not elaborate against Hamas who are all civilians, the Iranians said that if Israel conducts a ground attack into Gaza to destroy Hamas that Israel would feel the effects of an “earthquake”.

"disproportionate force".
When did anyone ever win a fight by using "proportionate force"? You have to have at least that one percent more to win. Using one percent more will take forever or you can use everything you got and get it over and done with.
Such as, should we invade the Japanese home islands with conventional forces or ..... use everything we got?
#9, Hinderaker didn't say "ostracizing the Palestinian hate culture until it reforms itself" and the Nazis did not reform themselves; during the Occupation, and later, the Allies had an active, ongoing program to "reform" the Nazis.
What Hinderaker said was, "In the future, anyone who tries to resurrect the idea of Gaza as a terrorist state should be treated as a post-WWII German who argued for bringing back the Nazi Party and marching on Germany’s neighbors would have been."
The Allies and the non-Nazi government that we installed in Germany did such a good job that a whole generation of German grew up not understanding what the Nazis were, what they did, and what they stood for.
Think I'm kidding? I remember the news reports when this mini-series: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-47042244 was shown in West Germany.

I've said it before. Hamas is a cancer that needs to be eradicated, with chemo and radiation if necessary.
