Two of Donald Trump’s key election lawyers, Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, surrendered Wednesday on charges in the Georgia election subversion case.
The scene of Giuliani, the former New York City mayor and a notable former federal prosecutor, walking into the Fulton County jail is another amazing moment in the ongoing investigation into Trump and his efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat.
One of Trump’s most outspoken attorneys in 2020, Giuliani was charged with 13 crimes, including breaking the state’s racketeering act, engaging in various criminal conspiracies, and soliciting a public officer in the state to violate their oath.

There is a lot of talk about Ron DeSantis being out of the running for the Republican nomination in 2024.
He’s certainly behind, but the history of races for the nomination (and the general election) is littered with predictions like this that turn out to be wrong. Obama was going to lose. Biden was dead in the water. Kamala Harris! was a favorite. Trump had no chance.
Remember that one? Everyone waited for the collapse of Trump in 2015-16. On the day of the election in 2016, The New York Times gave Hillary Clinton a 99% chance of victory, if you recall.
So it’s no surprise that DeSantis shows no sign

It may be August of 2023, but the media still can’t quit COVID alarmism. The latest COVID freak out came on Wednesday’s CNN This Morning as the assembled cast wondered whether it was time to bring back masks. Co-host Poppy Harlow got things started by asking, “With COVID cases rising, some people are masking up. You have probably seen that in your neighborhood, work, etcetera. What does it mean for you and what does it mean for people at higher risk of severe illness?” She then introduced chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta and asked, “I keep thinking this,

A Trump employee who monitored security cameras at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate abruptly retracted his earlier grand jury testimony and implicated Trump and others in obstruction of justice just after switching from an attorney paid for by a Trump political action committee to a lawyer from the federal defender’s office in Washington, prosecutors said in a court filing Tuesday.
The aide — described as “Trump Employee 4” in public court filings but identified elsewhere as Yuscil Taveras — held the title of director of information technology at Mar-a-Lago. He initially testified to a grand jury in Washington, D.C., that he was unaware of any effort to erase the videos,

NEW DELHI — India on Wednesday landed a spacecraft near the moon’s south pole, an uncharted territory that scientists believe could hold vital reserves of frozen water and precious elements, as the country cements its growing prowess in space and technology.
A lander with a rover inside touched down on the lunar surface at 6:04 local time, sparking cheers and applause among the space scientists watching in the southern Indian city of Bengaluru. After a failed attempt nearly four years ago, India made history by becoming the first country to touch down near the little-explored south pole region and joins the United States, the Soviet Union and China

Washington — The Secret Service arrested a Chicago woman Monday after prosecutors alleged she sent multiple menacing emails to a Florida school in which she threatened to kill former President Donald Trump and his teenage son, Barron, a law enforcement official confirmed to CBS News.
"I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity that I get," Tracy Fiorenza allegedly emailed the headmaster of a Palm Beach school on May 21, 2023, according to a criminal complaint filed earlier this month in Florida. Days later, court documents allege Fiorenza, 41, again emailed the unnamed school official, "I am going to slam

In what could be described as the worst-kept secret in politics, former President Donald Trump has decided he will not participate in the Republican presidential debates. He cited his commanding double-digit lead in Republican primary polls as the main reason for not participating. It would be the second presidential election cycle in which Trump broke tradition and skipped a debate. However, while the Trump campaign may think it’s a shrewd political maneuver, it’s actually self-destructive insofar as it establishes a precedent for President Joe Biden to skip debating Trump (assuming he is the GOP nominee) in the general election.

Eight Republicans have qualified for the party’s first 2024 presidential primary debate Wednesday night, the Republican National Committee announced Monday evening.
The list includes North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, former Vice President Mike Pence, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott. Former President Donald Trump – the clear front-runner in national and early state polls – has said he would skip the debate in Milwaukee and called on his rivals to drop out.

Former President Donald Trump is displaying his "sense of entitlement" by deciding to not participate in the 2024 GOP presidential primary debates, according to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump announced in a Truth Social post on Sunday that he would "not be doing" any of the Republican debates, while boasting that "the public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had." The former president previously indicated that he would be skipping the first debate, which is set to take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Wednesday.
The decision to skip the debates quickly drew condemnation from Trump critics

As we reported earlier, Joe Biden has finally made it to Maui to speak about the disaster that took place almost two weeks ago. He's meeting with some of the victims and first responders, and he also has made some brief remarks in Lahaina.
Protesters met him at the airport with signs, excoriating him and saying, "He should've been here much earlier," "It's too late," and "Actions speak louder than words." People even had a sign out in front of their home in Kehei reading "Traitor Joe Must Go." As we noted earlier, the White House is trying to sell that they have been involved since
