Hawaii Democrat Governor Josh Green took to “Face the Nation” Sunday to agree with host Margaret Brennan’s assertion that climate change “amplified” Maui’s horrific wildfires. However, there were multiple failures on many fronts by authorities, including warning sirens that didn’t go off, delays of much-needed water because of “equity concerns,” negligence by a power company, and disaster officials who had no experience in emergency management. Green: "GOVERNOR JOSH GREEN: So it's usually tsunamis and hurricanes [that are a danger to Hawaii]. For perspective, we've had six fire emergencies this August. We had six fire emergencies between 1953 and 2003. That's how -- how fast things are changing.

Nope. Bureaucratic incompetence enhanced the lethality of the fires in Maui. Look in the mirror, Green, it's you and your cronies who did the deed.

Back in the 50’s the Hawaiian Islands were covered with pineapple farms. Then the growers moved operations elsewhere and the fields were turned into housing developments or left bare. Weeds and grasses took over. Failure to clear underbrush is an invitation to a fire holocaust and that’s what happened. The eco-nuts have blood on their hands.

He gave the normal Democrat excuse these days for any natural calamity, climate change, for the fire, that he thinks will take the blame off the Hawaii Democrats who when they knew that a very windy Cyclone (Hurricane) was passing by Hawaii and did not take any precautions to shut down the very vulnerable high tension electric lines that were blown down into heavy overgrowth starting the massive fire in high wind conditions that made extinguishing those fires impossible. You can bet that the Democrats are scrounging around trying to find any excuse to lay on Trump and the Republicans who are nonexistent in State Hawaii politics.

Hawaii has never been warm or had tropical breezes before has it?
I doubt the average temperature in Hawaii has changed that much or the breezes blow much harder.
But, I am sure that after the people who lived there sell their property to the big hotel chains, and the real estate crooks, things will be better.

It is sad, so very, very sad. If only climate change had been recognized back in 2005. Then, post Katrina, instead of failed levies poorly maintained by a Democrat goobernment agency, Georgie Bush could have blamed Katrina on Climate Change. And maybe we would have avoided the next climate change disaster, President Obambi.

Only two words can adequately describe this obese Communist Death Democrat Governor of Hawaii - Evil scum. His hands are drenched in the blood of the Maui victims and yet he will be re-elected in a landslide by the same people he will continue to slaughter. The Communist Death Democrats put the Nazis and Stalin to shame at the game of genocide.

Total hogwash. There is no significant change in the climate over the last century. POSSIBLY a fraction of a degree, but the data is so poorly gathered and full of weather "noise" (large natural variations) that it is impossible to make out any actual "signal" of a long term trend of mathematical significance.
Purely political lies, with the intent of using this lie to gain more money and power, as is the case for all political lies.

Ah, yes, the drought caused the invasive grass to dry out, but they've had hurricane/cyclones in that area many times before.
Climate change means it's becoming the new normal, that they'll experience these things (temps, droughts, etc.) on a regular basis, right?
They're saying similar with the hurricane that was reduced to tropical storm that just hit Southern California, yet it's the first one since 1939.
Do they know how the Maui fire was started?
Still thinking it's power lines, which is what they say we need significantly more of (electricity) so we can reduce the CO2 levels and minimize climate from changing?

They say there is no evidence for voter fraud in the 2020 election and that when Trump says there was fraud he must be lying. Well, in the same way, there is no evidence that global warming had anything to do with the Maui fire and to claim that it did, without evidence, must be a lie as well.

The trouble with stupid people is they do not realize they’re stupid. But they do know when they’re lying. They will blame climate change for loss of a thousand lives while knowing their insistence on equity with the water supply caused the deaths. The governor knows the truth, but he’s too heavily invested financially in the climate industry to be anything but a Climate alarmist and liar. Biden, the governor, Maizie Hirono, Manuel the water denier, the emergency director who failed to sound warning sirens, should all be tried for crimes against humanity. The blood on the Biden administration just keeps piling up. Afghanistan. The mistaken drone strike that killed a family, fentanyl deaths, cartel deaths, the list is endless.
