Anti-Trump Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie is closely tied to the pharmaceutical industry he has repeatedly criticized on the campaign trail.
Christie’s connections to large pharmaceutical companies are reflected in his current board seat with Pacira BioSciences — a manufacturer of opioid alternatives — and in his previous lobbying work for multinational pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk through his consulting firm in 2020 and 2021.
Christie’s consulting firm, Christie 55 Solutions, received $40,000 from Novo Nordisk in 2021 and $120,000 in 2020, according to nonpartisan watchdog group Open Secrets. Christie’s firm made $1.3 million from nine clients in 2020 and $180,000 from six clients the following year,

Democrats in California are preparing to propose the idea of extending unemployment benefits to workers who are on strike. Obviously, this is being motivated mainly by the Hollywood actors and writers who are on strike.
Normally, benefits of this kind would only go to workers who have been let go by their employers.
This is nothing more than Democrats trying to throw a lifeline to people who they know are part of their core voters. It’s also worth noting that California’s unemployment insurance program is already broke.

Scott Hall, a bail bondsman who is accused of conspiring to illegally access voting machines in Georgia’s Coffee County in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, was booked on Aug. 22.
Another co-defendant, former Trump attorney John Eastman, also was booked into jail, records show.
They and all 19 defendants in the alleged election fraud case are accused of violating Georgia’s racketeering law. They contested the Georgia election results.

The American system does not require unanimity. In fact, its design presumes deep disagreement on matters of morality and policy. This is why questions like religion are left to individual conscience, and why most policy is left to states or even smaller units, where the law’s touch will not be felt as harshly, because it reflects the more similar values of a smaller group. Finally, regardless of who has the reins of the federal government, the Constitution renders a great deal of substantive activity off limits, as exemplified by the Bill of Rights.

Actually, we knew where he was: On the beach at his shore home in Delaware. Prepping for his next vacation in Lake Tahoe. Issuing a reptilian ‘no comment’ when asked about the thousand-plus people missing and the Pompeii-like damage and what his plan was.
When was he going to visit? For what it’s worth, I wrote an impassioned column imploring the president to go.

The ten questions were designed to elicit an understanding of how each candidate would approach border security, immigration enforcement, and, perhaps most importantly, the economic impacts of migration policy. This immigration questionnaire is the first issue set in a series of policy-focused efforts Breitbart News will be conducting over the course of the 2024 primary. The questions were sent a little more than a week ago to the top GOP presidential candidates who qualified for the first primary debate.

In what could be described as the worst-kept secret in politics, former President Donald Trump has decided he will not participate in the Republican presidential debates. He cited his commanding double-digit lead in Republican primary polls as the main reason for not participating. It would be the second presidential election cycle in which Trump broke tradition and skipped a debate. However, while the Trump campaign may think it’s a shrewd political maneuver, it’s actually self-destructive insofar as it establishes a precedent for President Joe Biden to skip debating Trump (assuming he is the GOP nominee) in the general election.

The Biden administration and its media allies keep acting as if the massive southern border invasion is something out of their control. In reality, the administration has done everything possible to keep the border open.
The Biden administration has fought any state efforts at securing the border. Its EPA sued Arizona to dismantle a wall of shipping containers being used to keep out some of the alien invaders. Its DOJ sued Texas over floating barriers on the Rio Grande.
The common theme was to not only open the border as wide as possible to accommodate the invaders, but to suppress any efforts by states to secure their borders on their own.

We all know what an October Surprise is. It’s when a rival campaign (or its supporter), right before the election, releases damaging information about an opponent. The idea is to expose the politician when it’s too late for him to recover, giving the candidate whose team released the information a clear path to victory. Always feared, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t.
As the number of inane indictments of Trump demonstrates, the Democrats will do virtually anything to keep Donald Trump from ever again occupying the White House and threatening the Swamp’s grip on the throats of the American people.

In 2012, Barack Obama famously made the cover of Newsweek magazine with the heading, “The First Gay President.” That headline, meant in jest, now seems more than a little prescient.
Much publicity has been given in recent weeks to Barack Obama’s very real homosexual fantasies. These were communicated in a letter to girlfriend Alex McNear in 1982, when Obama was in his early twenties.
These comments were first included in the paperback version of David Garrow’s 2017 biography, Rising Star, and later amplified in Jack Cashill’s 2020 book, Unmasking Obama, but news of Obama’s gay ruminations is only now breaking through to mainstream media.

Blue collar singing sensation Oliver Anthony has become the first debut artist to go straight to number one on the Billboard charts with his country anthem Rich Men North of Richmond.
The factory worker from Farmville, Virginia, has bested the Beatles and Elvis after his self-penned song attacking politicians drew 17.5 million streams and 147,000 downloads in the last week.
The song has captivated millions of disenchanted listeners and seen Anthony hailed as a hero by conservative commentators already excited by the chart-topping success of Jason Aldean’s Try That in a Small Town.

The man who set fire to Raleigh homeowner John Kane’s “Trump Won” yard sign has been identified.
Homeowner John Kane posted surveillance video of the fiery assault on his property and asked for help in identifying the criminal arsonist. A bicyclist is seen riding up to the Raleigh property on August 12 and kicking the Trump sign.
After failing to destroy the Trump sign the first time around, the same bicyclist returned, this time at 4 AM in the morning, to light the sign on fire.
A reward for $1,000 was offered for anyone who identified the criminal.

Joe Biden on Monday made a shambolic tour of Hawaii - in keeping with his tone-deaf and error-ridden first response to the wildfires.
Two weeks after the worst U.S. wildfires in a century, the president and his wife Jill landed on Maui to be met with screams of 'F*** you!' as his motorcade passed.
Some were seen waving Trump 2024 flags. The 80-year-old only compounded the anger by delivering a garbled speech at a charred sacred Banyan tree to speak in meandering terms about his own loss - that of his wife and baby daughter in 1972 - and then

MSNBC anchor Joy Reid said Monday on her show “The ReidOut” that MAGA was a cult and former President Donald Trump is the “Jim Jones to their Kool-Aid crew.”
Reid said, “The first Republican presidential primary debate is Wednesday but a certain four-times indicted former president plans to skip the Fox hosted affair. Trump campaign adviser told NBC News that Trump will be at his Bedminster club that night instead. In an apparent jab at Fox, Trump has already recorded an interview with Tucker Carlson.”
She continued, “Will primary voters even watch if Trump’s not there. They made their choice clear, according to recent polls.

President Joe Biden waded through the aftermath of the wildfires in Maui where he appeared to joke about the “hot ground.”
The moment occurred on Monday as the president mingled with a first responder, prompting laughter from people nearby. “You guys catch the boots out here? That’s a hot ground, man,” he joked.(X Video) In another moment, the president addressed Maui’s wildfire victims, and he attempted to relate to them by citing a fire his home endured back in 2004.
“I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense, Jill and I, what it’s like to lose a home,” he said.

Left-wing activist and Harvard prodigy David Hogg said he would "much rather own a Porsche and have a Portuguese water dog and golden doodle" than have children because it's "better for the environment," comments that reflect a broad consensus among college-educated liberals whose mental health has markedly declined since 2016. "I'm never planning on having kids," Hogg wrote in a bizarre Twitter thread. Former President Donald Trump is displaying his "sense of entitlement" by deciding to not participate in the 2024 GOP presidential primary debates, according to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump announced in a Truth Social post on Sunday that he would "not be doing" any of the Republican debates, while boasting that "the public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had." The former president previously indicated that he would be skipping the first debate, which is set to take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Wednesday.
The decision to skip the debates quickly drew condemnation from Trump critics
