A few weeks back I went online to RSBN to tune into the solemn and yet very enlightening funeral for Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway of Diamond and Silk fame. (snip) the former President also attended the funeral, sitting alongside the Hardaway family. (snip) the President reveals to the attendees that he always felt ignorant with regard to how to address the Black community. “I always used to ask -- what do you like better -- African American?... Black? (snip)
Upon hearing this revelation, I could not help but admire his willingness to admit that he didn’t know, as well having the humility to ask.

Liberals would slam him saying "you should know" while having bo idea themselves. By asking, Trump opens a dialog and treats Black people like everyone else by simply asking a question that everyone wrongly assumes we all should know the answer to.

Amen, #1 and brava, Janet!
I have never used the term African American because I’ve always found it to be decisive. American blacks are Americans. Period.

President Trump is assailed as being a bigoted racist, when if you look at his inclusive America First policies - he was MUCH more focused on the ALL the threads of our national tapestry. He noted often how Black Americans were faring better when businesses were doing well. (emphasis on WERE). He was a much better friend to the concerns of Blacks than you were allowed to think.

And then there’s bidet who decides who’s black and who’s not based on their loyalty to him, the guy who still talks about how great it was to have lunch with “the segregationists.”

If the president were a democrat, and his name were Biden, he could use the label "boy" with the comfort that there would be no outrage by Blacks, African-Americans, or the liberal media.

A good read. I always thought that “African-American” was an awkward mouthful to say

Trump is not the monster he is portrayed to be. He understands people from every walk of life, the elites to the poor. He doesn’t talk down to people and they know it. He also is not a politician who promises everything and delivers nothing. He got where he is today by hard work, and apparently was willing to bring good people along with him regardless of their race or status. A perfect man? No, but I believe he is a good man.

Ditto #1.
DJT is REAL. Janet Walters Levite is exactly right. Donald John Trump is NOT a politician.
People may not always appreciate, or like, his realness, but there is no pretense in him. What you see is what you get.
He exposes the hypocrisy of “died in the wool“ politicians simply by being himself. No wonder they despise him.
He isn’t afraid of being who he is - like him or not. That’s one of the reasons I ( like millions of others) love the man.

I agree Trump is a caring good person but he MUST get true believers behind him if he wins. There are so many traps and RINOS to thwart his agenda. Ask Paul Ryan-I truly thought he was on our side and he WASTED 2 years. The deep swamp is on the take even the repubs.

Exploitation for political gain by the Left has begun to approach that of slavery. In some ways these bonds which are mental are worse.

The only problem with this is that only a small percentage of Black folks will ever have the opportunity to read and digest the contents of this article. Beyond that, chances are about half of Black people have been so fully politically propagandized by the leftist and socialist Democrats that they will not believe the story that the author tried to get across to them. Too bad, but only Black people can straighten out such deficiencies in their culture, politics, and values.

When I was growing up in the Deep South, the polite term was “colored people or person”. For some reason, that description became “person of color”, which always seemed to me to be pretentious and rather clumsy. But it somehow became trendy to the left to use as virtue signaling. “African American has always been a ridiculous term ie Elon Musk and a late (white) friend of mine born in Southern Rhodesia now Zimbabwe. Black and white are useful but not as technically correct as negro and caucasian since we are all “of color”. A few more years and we will see a new woke description the left and media will start pushing.
