DENVER — Coloradans have warmed up to legalized psychedelic mushrooms in the last month, even though a small plurality still opposes them. The results of the FOX31 / Channel 2 / Emerson College Polling / The Hill poll conducted Oct. 26-29, show a marked uptick in approval for the upcoming election’s Proposition 122. The ballot initiative would decriminalize psychedelic plants and fungi, including DMT and psilocybin mushrooms, also known as “magic mushrooms.” Among voters of all political affiliations, 43% said they would support the measure, while 44.2% said they would oppose it. Another 12.8% said they are still unsure.

Magic Mushrooms may soon be on the menu in Colorado.

As some psychedelic enthusiasts learned in the late 1970s, one of the best places to find psilocybin mushrooms was in cow pastures, near or in dung. Tells you all you need to know.

Anyone reading my reply #5, hoping to go on a mushroom expedition in nature should know that toad stools, abundant in the magic mushroom areas, are quite deadly. How does a non-botanist know the difference? I couldn't tell you. I'm not a botanist or a chemist. You pays your money and you takes your chance. Do you feel lucky, punk? If you don't feel lucky here, there are toads you can lick in Central and South America that will REALLY get you off, if you live.

The Peoples' Republic of Colorado is at it again. I am embarrassed for my state that this is even on the ballot. The 43 percent are likely our impressionable young people at the local universities here.

Legalizing drugs is a sub-component of population reduction and control. Let drug addicts have what they want when they want with no legal restraints, and they soon kill themselves from an overdose of some lethal combination of alcohol and drugs. Money saved. The best way to reduce future budget costs for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits. Plus earth's resources are saved too. It's a win-win any way you look at it.

This is going to be an unpopular post! There is growing evidence from legitimate Medical studies that shows properly managed use of Psychedelics (prescribed and managed) is very helpful in treating addiction, depression, PTSD, Alzheimers, and a number of other ailments. At the same time studies done at Johns Hopkins have shown that big Pharma Psychotropics ARE NOT effective at treating these ailments, and actually cause more harm than the issues they are trying to address. But those companies are making obscene profits! Recreational use ... not good. Careful use administered and monitored by credentialed Professionals bears examination. IMO

During his last address before the balance of power would be decided in Washington D.C., Biden pleaded with Americans to vote against Republicans, accusing them of being election deniers and MAGA extremists who have encouraged political violence, promoted former President Donald Trump’s "Big Lie" about the 2020 election and engaged in voter intimidation. Rather than focusing the on main issues voters are most concerned about, namely, rampant inflation and other economic woes, Biden’s speech pointed the finger at his political opponents.
