In a clumsy effort to hide the latest and altogether shocking data on illegal border crossings, the Department of Homeland Security released its latest report in the dead of night last Friday. Not that it mattered, since the mainstream press wouldn’t have covered it no matter what. But in this case, the numbers are shocking. The reality is even more shocking.
DHS’s Customs and Border Protection agency finally, after basically being forced into it, reported that it had “encountered” almost 2.8 million illegal border crossers in the past fiscal year (which ended Sept. 30). That’s up from 1.9 million last

With Xi Jinping’s stunning shift back into Maoist totalitarianism, China is destined to become an economic mess once again. China’s opening to the world economy, particularly to the U.S. and Europe, now looks to be over. A new communist dark age will soon descend.
In China’s 20th party congress, which ended last weekend, we saw a very ugly glimpse of the future for the Middle Kingdom.
Not only did Xi cement his position as absolute ruler of the nation of 1.4 billion, but showed he’ll do anything to keep power. The image of an aging former President Hu Jintao apparently forcibly being

Tuesday night’s Pennsylvania Senate debate brings into sharp relief the fact that America is really, truly, genuinely, not kidding, experiencing a debate as to whether it is “ageism” or “ableism” to question the fitness for office of:
A soon-to-be octogenarian quasi-president who
habitually walks off podiums reaching out to shake hands with the air and then wanders around confused;
frequently interrupts himself mid-sentence when he lapses into incoherence;
regularly utters policy statements laden with global import that must be

Voters who think that putting Republicans in control of the House and Senate will make a big difference for the economy are in for a rude awakening. President Joe Biden has unleashed the regulatory Leviathan. Lawmakers will be hard-pressed to stop the damage.
The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) just this morning released its hugely valuable report called “10,000 Commandments,” which is a compendium of the regulatory state. In it, CEI Vice President for Policy Clyde Wayne Crews lays out the terrible truth about Biden’s regulatory zeal.
The first thing you have to understand about

There is thinking inside the box.
Then there is living inside a bubble.
And then there is thinking inside a bubble which is in a box in a cage in the basement tucked behind the furnace with a giant sign “Beware of the Leopard!” draped across it (apologies to Douglas Adams.)
In politics – as in so many aspects of life – it’s always handy to know where your enemies are. In this case, the D.C. Democrats are right there, which is right where we want them.
From the utterly oblivious nonsense coming out of Nancy Pelosi – inflation and crime are not

Many Americans were concerned last year that their Thanksgivings would not be celebrations of plenty but rather bitter experiences of want. This year, those fears have become a harsh reality in Joe Biden’s America, leaving one in four to say they will skip Thanksgiving in 2020 “to save money.”
In November 2021, with the country’s first Thanksgiving under Biden’s unsteady hand approaching, families were facing a holiday meal that was 14% more expensive than the year before. It was only a few months after the Joe from Scranton administration had bragged that a Fourth of July barbecue would cost a full 16 cents less than the year before.

When you bring down unemployment, inflation goes up.” — Nancy Pelosi, Oct. 18 interview.
For more than a year, Democrats have dismissed inflation, pointed the finger of blame at everyone but themselves, or tried to make it sound like we should be grateful because inflation “always happens” when the economy recovers.
Way back in June 2021, President Joe Biden said higher prices “were expected and are expected to be temporary” because, you see, “you can’t flip the global economics light back and not expect this to happen.”
The public never bought into this, but kudos to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for sticking with the Big Lie.

Despite both major parties claiming they have an advantage, the race for control of Congress appears to be a dead heat, the most recent I&I/TIPP data show. But there’s a big potential surprise element that could tilt the balance sharply: Nearly one out of every seven registered voters, or 15%, are “not sure” whom they’ll vote for.
The online poll of 1,158 voters across the country was taken from October 5-7, with a margin of error of +/- 2.9 points.
The poll asked those responding: “What is your preference for the outcome of this November’s congressional elections?”
Answers showed the sharp division among the electorate,

Like many sentient beings, we are often frustrated by the rank hypocrisy of politicians and the press whose moral compass is always set to True Left. But sometimes we forget just how flagrant it is.
Case in point is the hysteria over President Trump’s election “denialism.” The press automatically appends the word “lie” anytime anyone suggests that the 2020 election wasn’t on the up and up. Democrats portray November’s election as a “fight for Democracy” because a vote for a Republican is a vote for election-denying-Jan. 6-terrorist-sympathizing fascists. Just bringing up the idea of election fraud is tantamount to treason.

It’s stunning to hear President Biden (and the rest of the Democrats) spin our growing energy crisis. Like a child with his hand caught in the cookie jar, Biden continually tells the American people, “I didn’t do it!” In fact, yes he did. And he still is.
“Let’s debunk some myths: My administration has not stopped or slowed U.S. oil production,” Biden said on Wednesday, adding that he’s “doing everything in my power to reduce gasoline prices.”
Is that true? In fact, the entire energy policy of the Biden administration has been directed at not just slowing, but stopping U.S. oil production. The intended result:

To all those suffering from skyrocketing prices, struggling to make ends meet, going to food kitchens to feed their families, breaking the bank just to fill up their tanks, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has a message for you.
Quit your griping and vote Democratic.
That is the “new and improved” messaging that Pelosi thinks will win over voters in November.
And no, we are not kidding. In an interview with Punchbowl News published on Wednesday, here’s what she said:
Inflation’s an issue, but it’s global. It’s

Donald Trump’s win over Hillary Clinton in 2016 led to an election denial that still runs hot today in Democrat circles. But the left also threw anti-Trump tantrums across the country, many of them long before anyone had voted. Should Republicans unseat the Democratic majorities in the House and Senate in the coming midterms, as is expected, we will again see the childishness and narcissism that drives the Democratic Party.
Who can forget the videos of celebrities as well as the unknowns wailing and shrieking and coming apart at the thought of Trump in the White House? In several instances, the demonstrations
