Been on this site for years and years. It's my first go to. She will be thought of every day as I pull up Lucianne.com in the morning and the last thing at night. Here's to her staff for carrying on without their matron. She certainly had an interesting life. RIP

Daily Participant since the Clinton years! I'm not going anywhere.
Blessing to the family!
Brothers and sisters:
I am already being poured out like a libation,
and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith.
From now on a merited crown awaits me;
on that day, the Lord, just judge that he is,
will award to me- and not only to me,
but to all who have looked for his appearing with eager longing.

I first became an Ldotter in 2000 under a different moniker, back in the days of allegra, Standing Wolf and a site pest who called himself motp. (I always thought it stood for Milbank of the Post.) As others have said, it has been my first go to place ever since. Miss Lucianne literally changed the game for all of us who were drowning in a sea of left-wing propaganda. Thank you, faithful team, for pledging to continue the work as she would want it to be done. Farewell for now, dear Lucianne. Well done!

Thank you Miss Lucianne for a life lived in full. The Clinton-Lewinsky love affair first brought many of us to this great Salon. Our dear hostess will join many other Ldotters in Heaven, such as CapTet68. We endured the Obama years together, and it was here that Timber Queen opened the eyes of Lucianne´s community to the virtues of Donald Trump. Lucianne gave us American Chronicles, and we are better for it.

So sad to hear the world's loss of this most interesting and influential lady. The small amount of conversations we had through email proved that she had a wicked sense of humor, a trove of personal stories, and an ability to mingle among the swells at a banquet and go out in the alley to smoke cigs and b,s. with the waitstaff. She sent me a photo of her early days being a mounted NYPD cop. She reported that the damn horse only went crazy (and threw her) when the wind hit the umbrella of a Sabrette's hot dog cart in Central Park.
She enjoyed her life in N.J. at the house on Snake Hill. She enjoyed driving the lib neighbors nuts.
We will miss our Lucianne but are comforted in the assurance that she has been accepted to a higher group of souls.

My sincere condolences to Lucianne’s family--extended and on-line. I began reading her in the early 90’s. She was and still is my goto site every morning. She was the first website I subscribed to go ad-free. She even answered my emails! Her help desk was always responsive to my issues with the site. My 2 most memorable periods on her site were the Clinton-Lewinsky affair and the 9/11 event and aftermath. My goodness, I will miss her. First Rushie, now Lucianne. Big sad face here.

My introduction to Ms. Goldberg was during a TV appearance, during which she was relating her grandchild's (I believe) school not observing Mothers Day because it wasn't fair to some of the students there who had either two mommies or no mommies. That was many years ago, before the world went completely mad and I was immediately fascinated with her approach. Did some research, learned about her salon, and signed up. RIP, dear lady.

What an intruiging peek into the life of our gracious hostess. Like many others here I treasure a personal response from her. I also remember motp - the actual pest - from the early days. So many other names come to mind, some of which I am glad to see here today and some of which I am glad are gone forever, and others I grieve who are gone forever. Mr. Podhoretz, wouldn't you be able to craft a screenplay or script that would help us celebrate the life of this grand lady? A musical about The Broad on Broadway might be the ticket. And for Jonah, who I hope takes some comfort from our affection for his mum, please be brave and peek into the salon once in a while and to be reminded why we need leaders who aren't afraid to take on the swamp. Many of us have not forgotten that we once held your work in high esteem and we keep a soft, sad spot in our hearts for you.
With thanksgiving for Lucianne's great gift of this space,

Lucianne is and always will be a remarkable woman who thinks for herself and knows the process of influencing opinion for the right cause
- she was the backbone of the Monica Lewinsky thing with bawdy bill clinton and Linda Tripp as the interloper, feeding Lucianne with information gleaned from conversations with Lewinsky, and for that she was ripped apart by the partisan main stream media ... it was a very bad period for our country and as a side note, bawdy bill was the first communist to take a seat in the white house

This place being a "salon, not a saloon" is what has made it so enjoyable over the years. Very sad to hear of Ms. Lucianne’s passing. Don’t worry for her, she is in unimaginable company now.
I’ve visited this site for so long, and don’t remember what year, but it was around the beginning of Bubba’s run.
Lucianne was very approachable and we exchanged several e-mails. I asked when my Dad was about to reach 80, that we were going to give him a card shower, and could she send him a note. I used to copy many articles and mail them to him.
When I traveled back home and her large Manila envelope arrived, Daddy opened it and pulled out a large glossy photo of her with that cigarette holder wafting smoke, a chesire grin on her face, wishing him a very happy birthday. The look on my straight-laced Mom’s face and her, “Who is THAT?!?” Priceless! Daddy had been a musician and knew many famous people over the years.
#18, NotaBene, I met CapTet68 in California, maybe 2000, and miss his wonderful posts.
Rest in Eternal Peace, Lucianne, and thanks for all you mean to us! Comfort all who cherish her memory.

Especially we praise you for Name,
whom you have graciously received into your presence.
To all of these, grant your peace.
Let perpetual light shine upon them;
and help us so to believe where we have not seen,
that your presence may lead us through our years,
and bring us at last with them
into the joy of your home
not made with hands but eternal in the heavens;

Under her guidance, Lucianne.com has been the very best news aggregation site for many years. My interests and ideals are reflected in their choices of featured articles. I will continue to use Lucianne.com as my first choice when seeking truth in news. RIP Lucianne Goldberg.

Spending time on L.com was like taking a Masters Course in Political Science with a beloved professor and highly intelligent classmates. I’ve been here since the mid-90’s. The internet was new to many of us back when. We surfed and read and when we finally found Lucianne.com…we landed. Most of us are still here.
Lucianne Goldberg became a trusted voice in the wilderness as our country turned to the 24-hr news cycle. L.com was our refuge from the bawling and brawling of the talking heads.
One woman with a vision assembled a great team and kept the rest of us up to speed and on our toes. I will wear my L.com eagle pin in your memory and honor. Your handwritten note sent to me those many years ago is framed in my office. I miss you already. RIP Lucianne Goldberg. Eagles 🦅 Up! Your legacy lives on…

Truly sorry to hear this, one of the wittiest people I ever interacted with online. She put together a great site, and I learned a lot reading here about how reporters think and operate. I will miss Lucianne Goldberg.

Busy today with Life `101 and at a loss for words about our dear hostess Lucianne, I have been reading replies and enjoying the reminiscing of those who have been around here - as I have - for more than two decades. Remembering the fun we had on weekend roundtables when we were allowed to chat with each other from Friday evening until Sunday night. The topics were interesting, too, and widely varied, whather books or computer tips or recipes (that’s where the whore squirrel showed up) to you name it, we talked and talked about it. We also hung in for one entire weekend roundtable monitoring our friends hit by Katriina and providing information back and forth on the state of their situations. Then there was the Pink Caddie, LawsyO wearing a lampshade, Pomom, and others whose names have sadly slipped awqy. MsFalconersCabanaBoy, Where did he go? HollywoodBill was waiting “up there” for Lucianne, along with many others. Don Surber is still around but not as member Poca. He’s too busy cranking out excellent Conservative stuff for us to post. Timber Queen caught my eye with her intelligent replies plus he all-out campaigning for Donald Trump in 2016. So many others. Someone mentioned motp. The most in-your-face site pest ever… And I remember Lucianne’s wonderful Short Cuts, that started off every front page. Had to become exhausting, so morphed into Must Reads with her taglines… I could go on and on and on but I won’t I’ll just say that we were blessed to be welcomed into the most wonderful salon by the smartest, most fascinating, most patriotic and generous hostess imaginable… It is great to be able to join in memories of her and to look forward to seeing her again, God willing.

I already posted this morning when I first read the news, but here I am again and I will say, MEGA DITTOS to each and every post. They are the truth. Do you know anyone playing for the other team who would receive such loving condolences and memories as Miss Luci is getting? I don't and there are none.

Lucianne Goldberg definitely made an impact and a legacy with Lucianne.com. I've been coming to this site since the mid-late 90s. She'll be missed ... and Thanks.

May the roads rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Our sincere condolences to Lucianne's family and friends, (including Jonah). Lucianne's web page has been the first place for us to check out daily nearly since she started providing this comprehensive, informative news site. Increasingly throughout these past years, the msm has tipped to the left, making it a totally unreliable news source. But the posters on Lucianne always provide factual news reporting from throughout the planet so we can't thank Lucianne & staff & posters enough. Thankful that Lucianne's www will continue.

What sad news to see today. Like many others, I joined the Lucianne community during the Clinton/Lewinsky days. In those days, I followed Free Republic, Drudge, and Lucianne. In time I dropped the first two and stayed with Lucianne. This page is the first thing I check when I wake and the last thing I check before bed. I know that anything I need to know about world events will be here, along with commentary explaining things I may not understand. My deepest condolences to Jonah and his family, to Lucianne's friends, and to her dear staff who will keep Ms. Lucianne's legacy alive through this page.

So sorry to hear of Ms. Lucianne passing. It was a shock to start my day.
My story of finding Lucianne.com: I was a regular subscriber to both Laura Ingraham & Rush, 9:00 -11:00. 11:00 -2:00 CST. Listened every day at work for 6 hours. One day on Laura a long time ago, Tammy Bruce was guest host and brought up a post from lucianne that day. I jumped over to check lucianne.com later that day and have been back everyday since.

I have been on this site since '99-'00 or thereabouts. It is my daily wakeup and my nitetime story. It helped me get through the days after the 2000 Presidential election and manbearpig's attempt to steal it outright. I remember the roundtables every weekend and the recipe rounds every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I still have some of those saved on my computer. I also seem to remember that at one time, many years ago, someone helped plan a LCom convention of sorts where all of the posters could get together and finally meet in person. I was in school and couldn't go.
We have lost so many posters over the years, including my own beloved sister, vttwinmom. In my eye, I see them all sitting around a huge table, drinking something delicious and talking about what is happening in today's political landscape. Now THAT is a roundtable I would love to read!!!
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Miss Lucy's family and friends. She will definitely be missed. I will absolutely honor her memory by continuing to visit and contribute to this site.

It's been a number of years since I have posted here, but it has been instrumental in my adult life and career, especially with respect to consuming the news voraciously and viewing it with a skeptical eye. I will be forever thankful to Ms. Goldberg for providing us all forum, allowing us to state our views, and providing a sharpening stone to focus and hone our ability to persuasively engage in public discourse.
"A salon, not a saloon," always.
God bless Lucianne Goldberg, and all the good people past and present of Ldot.com.

IIRC, and I may not, "motp" was Terry Moran of ABC (Moran Of The Press). A real toad, then and now. He was routinely disemboweled out here, and finally slunk off, thoroughly defeated and embarrassed.
As for Standing Wolf, a great poster post-9/11 ("Nuke the terrorist _______"), he and I hung out at the same firearms forum. He passed away a few years ago.
Again, RIP Lucianne. We'll see you again up there.

I remember going to a Russian post office to use their computers to get online when in the far reaches of Siberia in the early 2000s so I could read Lucianne and find out what was happening in "the world" outside of Russia. I found it somewhat humorous reading posts by conservative Americans inside a Russian PO on a government computer, rented for something ridiculous like $1 an hour, in rubles, of course.
I had also met Barbra Olsen a few years before her demise on the airliner that hit the Pentagon.

Anyone remember the time Michael Moore rented an apartment across from Lucianne's high rise and pointed a live stream video cam at her living room? Lucianne put a sign in the window reading "This space for rent. Call xxx-xxx-xxxx". Moore was stymied.
