When you bring down unemployment, inflation goes up.” — Nancy Pelosi, Oct. 18 interview. For more than a year, Democrats have dismissed inflation, pointed the finger of blame at everyone but themselves, or tried to make it sound like we should be grateful because inflation “always happens” when the economy recovers. Way back in June 2021, President Joe Biden said higher prices “were expected and are expected to be temporary” because, you see, “you can’t flip the global economics light back and not expect this to happen.” The public never bought into this, but kudos to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for sticking with the Big Lie.

Strange, during Donald Trump's first term we managed to have our cake and eat it too. Democrats are outright liars and not very bright.

You really have to appreciate the sheer chutzpah that Dems are throwing around saying they brought unemployment down. All that happened is that businesses THEY shut down for COVID were allowed to reopen.

The Danger of Bubble Wrap (Or, How Democrats

There is thinking inside the box. Then there is living inside a bubble. And then there is thinking inside a bubble which is in a box in a cage in the basement tucked behind the furnace with a giant sign “Beware of the Leopard!” draped across it (apologies to Douglas Adams.) In politics – as in so many aspects of life – it’s always handy to know where your enemies are. In this case, the D.C. Democrats are right there, which is right where we want them. From the utterly oblivious nonsense coming out of Nancy Pelosi – inflation and crime are not
November Surprise: There’ll Be No Thanksgiving

Many Americans were concerned last year that their Thanksgivings would not be celebrations of plenty but rather bitter experiences of want. This year, those fears have become a harsh reality in Joe Biden’s America, leaving one in four to say they will skip Thanksgiving in 2020 “to save money.” In November 2021, with the country’s first Thanksgiving under Biden’s unsteady hand approaching, families were facing a holiday meal that was 14% more expensive than the year before. It was only a few months after the Joe from Scranton administration had bragged that a Fourth of July barbecue would cost a full 16 cents less than the year before.

Despite both major parties claiming they have an advantage, the race for control of Congress appears to be a dead heat, the most recent I&I/TIPP data show. But there’s a big potential surprise element that could tilt the balance sharply: Nearly one out of every seven registered voters, or 15%, are “not sure” whom they’ll vote for. The online poll of 1,158 voters across the country was taken from October 5-7, with a margin of error of +/- 2.9 points. The poll asked those responding: “What is your preference for the outcome of this November’s congressional elections?” Answers showed the sharp division among the electorate,

Like many sentient beings, we are often frustrated by the rank hypocrisy of politicians and the press whose moral compass is always set to True Left. But sometimes we forget just how flagrant it is. Case in point is the hysteria over President Trump’s election “denialism.” The press automatically appends the word “lie” anytime anyone suggests that the 2020 election wasn’t on the up and up. Democrats portray November’s election as a “fight for Democracy” because a vote for a Republican is a vote for election-denying-Jan. 6-terrorist-sympathizing fascists. Just bringing up the idea of election fraud is tantamount to treason.

It’s stunning to hear President Biden (and the rest of the Democrats) spin our growing energy crisis. Like a child with his hand caught in the cookie jar, Biden continually tells the American people, “I didn’t do it!” In fact, yes he did. And he still is. “Let’s debunk some myths: My administration has not stopped or slowed U.S. oil production,” Biden said on Wednesday, adding that he’s “doing everything in my power to reduce gasoline prices.” Is that true? In fact, the entire energy policy of the Biden administration has been directed at not just slowing, but stopping U.S. oil production. The intended result:

To all those suffering from skyrocketing prices, struggling to make ends meet, going to food kitchens to feed their families, breaking the bank just to fill up their tanks, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has a message for you. Quit your griping and vote Democratic. That is the “new and improved” messaging that Pelosi thinks will win over voters in November. And no, we are not kidding. In an interview with Punchbowl News published on Wednesday, here’s what she said: Inflation’s an issue, but it’s global. It’s

Donald Trump’s win over Hillary Clinton in 2016 led to an election denial that still runs hot today in Democrat circles. But the left also threw anti-Trump tantrums across the country, many of them long before anyone had voted. Should Republicans unseat the Democratic majorities in the House and Senate in the coming midterms, as is expected, we will again see the childishness and narcissism that drives the Democratic Party. Who can forget the videos of celebrities as well as the unknowns wailing and shrieking and coming apart at the thought of Trump in the White House? In several instances, the demonstrations

Just how far will the leftist media go to protect President Joe Biden? If the past couple of weeks are any indication, there is no limit. Take the incident in late September where Biden repeatedly called out for a dead congresswoman to come forward. [snip] Most cognizant Americans saw this for what it was: Another worrisome sign that Biden’s mental acuity is rapidly declining. For the press, however, it was an opportunity to praise the 79-year-old. Jill Lawrence, a former commentary editor at USA Today, wrote that “there’s another way to look at this.” Namely, she said, it shows “how generous and professional Biden is.”

Americans overwhelmingly believe that the U.S. has a serious problem with controlling its southern border as a record flow of illegal immigration leaves many scratching their heads over whether immigration laws are enforced at all. With midterm elections just around the corner, which party has the edge on this key issue? According to October’s I&I/TIPP Poll, the answer is Republicans. For October’s public opinion survey, I&I/TIPP asked voters a simple question: “Which party would do a better job of securing the border?” More Americans picked the Republican Party (43%) over the Democratic Party (34%), the online poll of 1,376 adults taken from Oct. 5-7 showed.

You know things are bad when even the mainstream press is admitting that the latest inflation numbers “soared far above expectations last month” and that this is “wiping out pay gains.” But, according to President Joe Biden, Thursday’s report on inflation “shows some progress in the fight against higher prices.” What progress? Inflation was up 8.2% in September, compared with the year before. And that’s on top of last September’s 6.2% increase. Here’s another way to look at it. In the 21 months since Biden took office, the Consumer Price Index has shot up 13.5%. That compares with 4% in the first 21 months of the Trump administration. (See the chart below.)

Crime will be fresh on the minds of voters during November’s midterm elections. But there is no greater robbery than that being planned by the Biden administration. What it’s proposing is a government-backed mugging. In essence, the White House wants to outlaw gig work in America. No, it’s not saying so outright. The Biden Labor Department obscures that harsh reality with words meant to deceive. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh says the department’s proposal is needed to safeguard “our nation’s most vulnerable workers,” and ensure they are not deprived “of their federal labor protections.”

House Republicans have for months threatened to impeach Joe Biden and equally disastrous members of his administration for their intentional attempts to destroy America if — which is now pretty much when — the GOP retakes control of the House in the midterms, now just two weeks away. Apparently, those threats weren’t serious. At least not in Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s case. McCarthy last Wednesday downplayed talk of impeaching Biden or officials of the disastrous administration if the GOP regains control. Just one problem. Republican lawmakers have introduced more than a dozen impeachment resolutions targeting Biden, Kamala Harris, and controversial Cabinet members, including Attorney General Merrick Garland, Secretary of State Antony Blinken,

Michael Bennet (D-CO) in public opinion polls and last week made waves when he vowed to "actively campaign against" Trump and spoke favorably of other party heavyweights, including DeSantis. Sharing the article written by Washington Examiner senior political correspondent David Drucker on his Truth Social platform, Trump added a brief message. "A BIG MISTAKE!" Washington — Plastic recycling rates are declining even as production shoots up, according to a Greenpeace USA report out Monday that blasted industry claims of creating an efficient, circular economy as "fiction." Titled "Circular Claims Fall Flat Again," the study found that of 51 million tons of plastic waste generated by U.S. households in 2021, only 2.4 million tons were recycled, or around five percent. After peaking in 2014 at 10 percent, the trend has been decreasing, especially since China stopped accepting the West's plastic waste in 2018. Virgin production — of non-recycled plastic, that is — meanwhile is rapidly rising as the

"Elon Musk’s plan to lay off 75% of Twitter workers will hurt Twitter’s ability to serve the public conversation," reads a draft of the letter, which has not yet been published. "A threat of this magnitude is reckless, undermines our users’ and customers’ trust in our platform, and is a transparent act of worker intimidation."

President Biden attacked Republicans in a speech to the Democratic National Committee headquarters on Monday, stoking claims that Republicans would "crash the economy" in an attempt to force him to gut Medicare. Biden also used the opportunity to coin the term "Mega-MAGA trickle down," which is how he has chosen to refer to Republican economic policies. The president went on to name House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, arguing that he and his fellow Republicans would grow the deficit by $3 trillion if their priorities were to pass. He also argued the party plans to use the deficit as a bludgeon against him.
