California is set to release its highly-anticipated report on reparations on Wednesday, concluding the work of a statewide “task force” dedicated to discovering so-called “systemic racism” in the state and determining methods for redistributing wealth to black residents.
According to the Associated Press, the report is set to include such propositions as expanding voter registration, further restrictions on police and harsher punishments for individual officers, and making improvements to black neighborhoods. It will also recommend the creation of a new office that would help black Californians prove their lineage to determine if they were descended from slaves, at which point they would be eligible for financial compensation.

Written by racist, leftist, anti-white idiots. It will be a disaster of stupid ideas of giving away Other People's Money to people who have already been given Affirmative Action unfair advantages for half a century.

If Commiefornia want to give money from people who were never slave owners to people who were never slaves, let them do it. It's not my money.

Three things will happen:
1. Everyone who applies will be approved. In the off chance that someone gets denied, they will scream “racism” and be added to the list with back pay .
2. Hundreds of thousands, if not more, will move to California to get their monthly tax free check.
3. This program will never end. The money paid will never be enough.
Pass the popcorn!

As #2 says, NO former slaves will be getting anything and NO former slave owners will be paying anything.
All those people have been dead for at least multiple decades, many for over a CENTURY. This is totally stupid. There is nothing to "repair", all the people living have been free their entire lives.....free to be lazy, drug addicted criminals in way too many cases.

Redistribution of wealth is all part of the UN Agenda 2030. Yes a new government office of beaurocrats. Just what we need.

So I am the direct descendent of a black slave that was owned by my Native American ancestor in the Oklahoma territory. Can I get some cash from the idiots in Californistan?

Seems to me that we've already paid reparations. Since LBJ's Great Society programs taxpayers have spent over 11 trillion dollars on poverty programs. I think that's more then enough.
Remember, while slavery is repugnant by today's standards, it was legal in the south before the civil war. No crime was committed. So now California is asking people who never owned slaves to pay people who were never slaves. The stupidity is breath taking.

O.K. and once again I take keyboard in hand to give the definition of reparations.
Reparations is taking money from me, who has never owned a slave, giving it to you, who has never been a slave, so you will vote for democrats.

I am in favor of reparations as long as the institution that was responsible for slavery and the oppression of blacks pays. That institution is the Democratic Party as they fought to preserve slavery and once slavery was ended oppressed blacks with Jim Crow and the KKK. No institution in America is more worthy of paying reparations than the Democratic Party.

I would agree with #11 if reparations would solve any problems, but they won't. Hillary pointed out that "it takes a village" but the wretched dim controlled villages are eternally corrupt and there is little hope for those children.
I think it may have been Richard Pryor who said the white man would lose nothing paying reparations because the blacks would immediately spend it buying alcohol, cigarettes, women, bling, cars, drugs...

I guess lots of people don’t think Adam and Eve started the whole thing. Otherwise, we’re equal partners on both sides of the argument, right?

Another sickmaker pander job from our far Left state government. Although they don’t even have a simple 51% majority, they have more registered voters than we do. But contrary to underinformed persons here, all Californians are not liberal Dems.

Where are they going to get the money to fund that dream as more and more productive and tax paying citizens close up shop and leave California?
