Former President Donald Trump has signaled he will announce his presidential intentions after the November midterm elections. Yet his record of endorsements is quite mixed. By the sheer numbers of winning primary candidates his stamp of approval is impressive, but in a few of the most important races, not so much.
The disaster that is the Biden Administration has been a godsend for Trump. Had President Joe Biden simply plagiarized the successful Trump agenda, there would have followed no border disaster, no energy crisis, no hyperinflation, and no disastrous flight from Afghanistan.
Had Biden followed through on his "unity" rhetoric, he could have lorded over Trump's successful record as his own,

While we speculate, we should relish the thought that Trump would have no concerns about reelection, meaning 100% of his focus would be on all of the second term, that playing nice out of necessity at times would be unnecessary and that scorching the earth would be a very real possibility for those who wronged him before and who might try again.

That Biden didn’t ride the wave of Trump’s great accomplishments told me that we were in Obama’s 3rd term, which is now on steroids. Poll numbers tell you that Obama/Biden are not working for the American people. And you can look at the disaster of Netflicks after they asked the Obamas to crawl into their bed.

Trump's endorsements were to build support for a presidential bid. He has accomplished that goal. As for the mixed caveat, hey, I had to vote for Abbott for governor, because the rest of the candidates in the primary race were even worse. We aren't given select choices in these races. Not prime, more like this is all we've got.

I can understand why soft-spoken and scholarly Victor Davis Hanson doesn't much like bombastic businessman President Trump, but Prof. Hanson needs to take a second look at this essay because he praises Pres. Trump's agenda and accomplishments to the skies. The United States desperately needs Pres. Trump's steady hand and clear-eyed agenda once again. The mean tweets and ridicule are part of the package.

No mixed feelings here. President Donald John Trump has my full unbridled enthusiastic and complete support. MAGA means more now than it ever did.

VDH fails to mention America is in the mess we're in because Obiden stole the 2020 election -- nor the likelihood of seditious Marxicrats doing the same thing to the mid-terms and in 2024.
As Hanson says, however: "Had President Joe Biden simply plagiarized the successful Trump agenda, there would have followed no border disaster, no energy crisis, no hyperinflation, and no disastrous flight from Afghanistan."
But no, as we insist day after day on here, all that was done purposefully to achieve the progressive's $icko agenda of destroying our once great republic. Regardless of what DJT did or didn't do, the enemedia would have been all over him 24-7-365 like ugly on the ape.
We can expect exactly the same in 2024, no matter who runs. Bottom line: Time for another Revolution.

Trump won, and he wil run and win again. THIS time, first thing he must do is appoint agency heads who will clean house on Day One. Bannon has the lists of who should be fired, top to bottom. And this time, go fot it. Dershowitz for AG, a constitutional scholar and human rights lawywer who can rewrite DOJ/FBI policy to PROTECT Americans. Furthermore, the Patriot Act must go in the first year.

It is maddening when those on the right accept any of the left’s premises. In this instance, it’s the premise that these were free and fair primary elections. The Establishment RINOs are apt to commit vote fraud as the dems. Don’t doubt it.

From the author: "Yet his record of endorsements is quite mixed." Maybe in 2016 when he was campaigning? I didn't think Donald Trump had mean tweets; he basically responded to comments being made about him. Everyone defends their own reputation. Victor Davis Hanson would probably do the same if it were him. . .

VDH has a blind spot for the obvious truth about our government. He apparently continues to see a competitive two-party system where there now exists a UNIPARTY that ‘rassles issues to maintain the public’s interest and rile participation, like pro ‘rasslin’ on TV.
Until he recognizes that government is not run by ideologues but by corrupt forces hiding behind the veneer, I discount his commentary. Now, in 458 BC the Greeks…

FTA: "And the nominee would have to do all that neither with gratuitous insults nor playing by wishy-washy Marquess of Queensberry rules..."
Well what the h3ll does that mean? So, our nominee must fight being "trumped" with neither offense nor defense? That is Mr DH putting two buns around a nothingburger.
1. Anyone we run will be "trumped," but 2. Trump is now vindicated by the trials now underway. No matter what the airheads in the jury box bleat. He is to some degree inoculated from further "russia russia russia"s.
I hope he runs and brings his successor with him. Let him hand over the reigns when he sees fit.

What is wrong with fighting back (with tweets)? We were disgusted with George Bush because he wouldn't fight back. Self defense is legal and wise and the bullies will grudgingly respect (and fear) you.

FTA: “And the nominee would have to do all that neither with gratuitous insults nor playing by wishy-washy Marquess of Queensberry rules against those whose toxic agendas here and abroad have created the present disaster.”
I don’t disagree - sort of. Bidet wears his $5000 suits and cool glasses (why has he stopped turning his lapel up like he’s Miami vice or something?) and antifa thugs, the media, the FBI, and the schitffs of the party fling all the fecal material.
Is it possible to play by Hanson’s rule? Or is this war? And can a war be won when their fbi will fabricate charges and evidence and if mailin ballots permit limitless ballot manufacturing?

The agreement that Trump shouldn't be the nominee because the Woke hate him so much makes no sense. We need a loud, clear, resounding, mandate to not just stop this nonsense, we need to ROLL IT BACK. Nothing screams NO as loud as electing President Trump. If he wins and immediately resigns and hands it off to his VP it would still be the biggest victory we could hope for. Americans will NOT vote or a Democrat President next time, and WE won't put up with another stolen election. They played that hand as far as it goes. It will NOT be tolerated.

If we survive the Obama/ Biden regime, it will be necessary to right the ship in a hurry. A vote for Trump is a good business decision, not just a political one. I have no problem voting for him. Oh, and flush out all the RINOS. They are as toxic as the Marxists.

President Trump single-handedly stopped the New World Order Global Warming conspiracy. The FBI, CIA, DoS, DoD, NIH and MIC fought our President against the will of the people. The 2020 election was stolen and Biden is illegitimate. We must bring back Trump, the great world hope for Peace and Prosperity. MAGA.

No disrespect for VDH but the musings from academia do not quite wander beyond that of speculation. President Donald John Trump has led America into great prosperity and has exposed the endless fraudsters. The choice is clear. At present, he is the best man for the job and has the guts to do what needs to be done to save our nation. I say "Thank you Sir" and I pray that you run again.

FTA: "In the end, even if most Republicans would prefer he not run, they will likely vote for him over the hard-left alternative."
I think that is the key to 2024. I recognize that on these pages, Trump, currently a Republican, is most highly regarded but as a long-term conservative, I would rather a younger, well-grounded conservative emerge who Trump could/would gladly get behind. DeSantis may or may not be that person. If such a person fails to emerge, then I'd vote for Trump a third time.

He's the ONLY hope for the Empire. This ain't a Star Wars fairytale; this is real. This country hangs by a tenuous thread. Either we align as a Party, or we capitulate to tyranny and participate in our own demise.

I noticed someone above mentioned Rush Limbaugh. I think many of PDJT's best ideas came from Rush. They spoke regularly. I think President Trump was a little less sophisticated in some of his positions after Rush passed away. It's really a shame that President Trump had such a mixed bag of able vs. weak executive branch appointments. None of his defense secretaries were up to the task. Sessions was useless, and Barr was only marginally better. Wray at FBI is within a hair of being as treacherous as Comey.
I personally think Pompeo may be a good option if DeSantis wants to wait for 2028. I can't see anyone else up to the task at this point. Whoever wins has got to be prepared to do battle with the MSM and the dems in Congress. And someone needs to assemble an able army of election counting volunteer watchers and find a way to limit mail-in ballots (not absentee ballots), as well as a way to keep the Dominion machines honest.

I want President Trump to run and I will proudly and happily vote for him again. I am worried about someone running on Trumpian politics and then, once elected, being influenced by the Swamp and going squishy. The left NEVER "crosses the aisle" to work with Republicans. We need to recognize this and quit capitulating to the left just to make the propaganda media happy, something that they never will be.
