Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi reportedly received communion during a Sunday mass despite her archbishop banning her from the practice, Politico Playbook reported Monday.
Pelosi reportedly took Holy Communion at the 9 a.m. mass at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown, according to Politico Playbook. (snip) The church’s pastor, Father Kevin Gillespie, said last year he would hand President Joe Biden Communion at the altar despite his pro-abortion viewpoints.
“Everyone is welcome,” he said.

That’s not a rhetorical question, by the way.
Seriously, it’s hard not to wonder how it’s possible that Whoopi Goldberg fancies herself to be an authoritative voice on current events. Quite frankly, I can’t understand how that happened. She says a lot of dumb things. Like on Monday, she went into hysterics about the archbishop of San Francisco banning Nancy Pelosi from Holy Communion in his diocese over her pro-abortion views. “The archbishop of San Francisco is calling for speaker Nancy Pelosi to be denied receiving Communion because of her pro-choice stance,” Goldberg noted. “This is not your job, dude.

Former President Bill Clinton defended Joe Biden's dismal poll ratings on Monday, insisting his successor in the White House was motivated less by popularity than getting the job done. The chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, an immigration crisis and spiraling inflation have sent Biden's approval ratings into freefall.
The result is a Democratic Party fearing the worst in November's midterm elections.
But Clinton offered a rosier view, claiming the president ad delivered on his campaign promise to turn the corner on the COVID-19 pandemic and restore the U.S. to its rightful place in the world.

Republican Rep. Liz Cheney warned that Donald Trump is a threat to the United States the likes of which 'we have never faced before' in a Sunday evening speech. Wyoming's lone House Representative was among the recipients for this year's John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Awards. Her acceptance speech drew parallels between the Civil War and last year's US Capitol attack in the pivotal tests they presented for the country's democratic institutions. Cheney discussed the historic importance of a peaceful transfer of power - which she said 'has been honored by every American president, except one' -

Out of touch as ever, President Biden celebrated record-high gas prices Monday, gushing that the pump pain was part of “an incredible transition” of the US economy away from fossil fuels. “[When] it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” Biden said during a press conference in Japan following his meeting with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The president then insisted that his administration’s actions, rather than increasing the price of gas, had actually been able to “keep it

Fox News' former chief political correspondent has joined a chorus of voices calling for serious repercussions against Tucker Carlson - one of the network's most prominent voices. Carl Cameron was asked: 'Do you think the Murdoch family in charge of Fox will ever pull the plug on Tucker?' during an interview with CNN's Jim Acosta on Saturday.Cameron, 60, went on to compare Carlson's broadcasts to falsely shouting fire in a crowded movie theater.
'The fact of the matter is, if you disturb the peace by starting a riot in a movie theater, cops are going to arrest you and you might end up in jail or

It’s time to drop the words “fake news,” “hoax,” and any other descriptor short of blatant and purposeful lies, in reference to Hillary Clinton’s engineering, oversight, and final approval of releasing to the sock-puppet media a preposterous fairy tale that even the worst of armchair sleuths could spot as complete bullcrap. Why do I make such a “bold” statement? When even the Wall Street Journal editorial board publishes a blistering editorial titled Hillary Clinton Did It, in which it calls Clinton’s lies a “dirty trick for the ages,” that is newsworthy. Are you listening, Hillary The Russia-Trump collusion narrative of 2016 and beyond was a dirty trick for the ages,

A Disney World vacation was once seen as the tradition getaway for the American middle class family, but it is increasingly slipping out of reach.Over the past few years, the prices of tickets for the amusement park have skyrocketed as executives continue to raise the price of food and begin catering to higher-paying clientele. To make matters worse, Disney executives are eliminate cost-saving features at the theme parks, like a free shuttle from the airport and free parking for those staying on the premises. It has also done away with a free option to help people skip the ever-growing lines at certain rides - replacing it instead with a pay service.

House speaker Nancy Pelosi questioned whether Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone was holding a double standard for banning her from Communion for her position on abortion while keeping quiet about Republicans who support the death penalty.
'I wonder about the death penalty, which I am opposed to. So is the church but they take no action against people who may not share their view,' the California Democrat said Tuesday on MSNBC's Morning Joe.

On Friday, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone penned a notice telling Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) that, because of her pro-choice stance, she will not be permitted to take receive Holy Communion. Well, this absolutely triggered the pro-baby killing coven on ABC’s The View. And during their Monday show, they accused the Archbishop of somehow violating the separation of church and state by carrying out punishment against a member of the church for violating their beliefs.
Comments:
The thing to see is that it's not the high debt holders failing to pay back. It's those who fail to complete their degree studies. And so the American public should bail out those who were ill-equipt for college and at least were smart enough to stop digging deeper debt pits. One wonders how many cars, vacations, tattoos, and frat/sorority jackets were bought with this money, not to mention "remedial studies."
