Audio provided by former President Donald Trump’s team to Breitbart News of the end of Trump’s interview with Piers Morgan proves that Morgan and his team deceptively edited the interview to make it appear as though it was a contentious ending when it was not.A 30-second promotional clip that Morgan released on Wednesday afternoon seemed to show Trump flying off the handle and walking out mid-interview as a righteous Morgan asked him tough questions about his views on the 2020 election. But the full story seems to indicate that Morgan’s team deceptively edited the clips together to make it as nasty as possible for Trump—and to drive up the ratings

The reaction on the left to Elon Musk’s still-uncertain attempt to buy out Twitter in some fashion and remake it as a global platform for free speech has been almost hilarious to watch. So many of the hot takes showing up on the platform itself, as well as in major newspapers and cable news outlets sound as if they could have come from the Babylon Bee. (Of course, if they had, you wouldn’t have seen them since the satirical Bee is also banned as a “misinformation” outlet.) You’d think that the Devil himself was riding into town to set fire to the churches and enslave the locals.

The Walt Disney Co. is the worst performing stock in the Dow Jones Industrial Average for the past year, plummeting 31 percent in the last 12 months.
Of the 30 companies that comprise the Dow, Disney has seen its stock drop the most on a percentage basis, followed by 3M, which is down 25 percent, and Home Depot, down 23 percent. Disney shares were down more than 5 percent Wednesday as investors remained skittish on streaming entertainment companies following Netflix’s disastrous first quarter results. Disney+ subscription results recently disappointed Wall Street when the company reported quarterly results in November, causing the stock to tumble.

Rent prices across the U.S. climbed to record highs in March largely because an increasing number of potential buyers are being pushed out of the market, according to a new report. The median monthly asking rent increased 17% compared with a year ago, to $1,940, according to real estate brokerage Redfin. This marked the largest annual jump since February 2020, according to Redfin's data. The price and demand for rentals have surged as "many potential first-time homebuyers are quickly being priced out of the market by record-high home prices and fast-increasing mortgage rates," Redfin chief economist Daryl Fairweather said in

Jen Psaki isn’t long for her job at the White House.
Having reportedly accepted a job with MSNBC that will include a primetime show, Biden’s press secretary will make one of the easiest transitions in politics. There is essentially no daylight between being a liberal cable news host and an official for a Democrat administration. That’s a dynamic that never ceases to amaze, given how loudly liberals complain when Republicans end up on Fox News, but I digress.
Psaki has been on a media tour of sorts the last few weeks, and as RedState reported, things got really awkward when she was asked about Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law.

Indeed, the photo is heart-wrenching to see.

How bad will the 2022 election be for the Democrats? In all likelihood, quite bad. Biden’s approval rating is bad, his rating is worse on the most important issue, the economy, and it is truly terrible on high profile, contentious issues like crime and immigration. Democrats are behind on the generic Congressional ballot, despite the tendency of this measure to overestimate Democratic strength. The results of special and off-cycle elections indicate a very pro-GOP electoral environment. And midterm elections are typically bad for the incumbent party anyway.
So there are not a lot of good signs here. In fact, hardly any.

Shares of Netflix plunged 37% Wednesday morning after the streamer reported earnings Tuesday evening that showed it lost subscribers for the first time in more than ten years. The results and weak outlook led to a wave of downgrades from Wall Street over fears of the company's long-term growth potential.
Netflix said several headwinds are impacting growth, including competition and the easing pandemic restrictions. The company had been significantly boosted by coronavirus stay-at-home orders, as more people sought out digital entertainment. But people spent less time on digital platforms as vaccines rolled out and mandates eased.
Slower household broadband growth also played a role in the company's weak forecast.

Remote employees are blaming Biden-fueled inflation rates and skyrocketing costs of gas and childcare for their continued to need to work from home. Now that coronavirus positivity rates are low, remote work proponents are no longer blaming their desire to stay home on safety concerns, but instead on the financial impacts of their daily office routine, which is far pricer than when the U.S. shut down in March 2020. Consumer prices reached 8.5 percent last month, nearly double what were in March 2021, and the highest inflation rate increase the country has seen since 1981.

Just days after President Joe Biden’s Centers for Disease Control ordered yet another extension of the federal mask mandate, a Florida judge ruled that the agency had no authority to impose it in the first place, saying that “our system does not permit agencies to act unlawfully even in pursuit of desirable ends.” To public cheers, the TSA, Amtrak, the Washington Metro system, and other public transportation systems immediately ditched their mask requirements, even though the Biden administration is appealing the ruling in hopes overturning it. No one, it seems, trusts the CDC anymore. But all of this comes as COVID cases appear to be on the upswing.

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis is a smart guy, and he’s also a highly skilled politician. But with the complete derangement we’ve been witnessing from the left, combined with DeSantis’ utter ballsy-ness, the section of the Culture War battlefield currently occupied by DeSantis looks like a Marine Corps Battalion fighting against the local Cub Scouts Troop. He’s a man among boys, and he’s not letting up.
In an announcement from the governor’s office yesterday, DeSantis “called on lawmakers to review independent special districts established prior to Nov. 5, 1968.”

Elon Musk has slammed 'unwatchable' Netflix for becoming infected by the 'woke mind virus' as the streaming giant hemorrhages subscribers. The US company lost 200,000 users between January and March this year, a quarterly report announced yesterday, causing shares to plummet by 25 per cent, with a further 2million subscribers set to leave by June. The service is now proposing introducing adverts and stopping password sharing to stem the exodus, which it is trialing in Chile, Costa Rica and Peru in a bid to clamp down on the estimated 10million households who use someone else's account.

President Biden is considering delaying the ending of Title 42 border restrictions which were introduced during the pandemic and are currently set to expire on May 23, according to a new report. The Biden administration is coming under increasing pressure over the looming expiration of what was a public health order that enabled U.S. authorities to turn back most migrants, including people seeking asylum from persecution. But the number of migrants now attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border is at its highest level in two decades - with even larger numbers expected to arrive once the pandemic-era order is lifted.

Travelers were in a state of mask confusion Tuesday, with airports and other major transport hubs in New York still requiring face coverings — even as other states, including New Jersey, axed requirements almost immediately after a judge struck down a federal mandate.Mandatory mask rules will remain in place at LaGuardia and JFK airports, the Port Authority said, but not at Newark Liberty International Airport.“It’s extremely confusing, I can tell you that. It’s insane. You see some people wearing masks, you see some not wearing masks,”

Our judicial system was created to determine factual truth and to determine whether our laws have been violated and are just. To that end, witnesses at a trial give sworn testimony on penalty of perjury and are subject to cross-examination and rebuttal. After the trial, one or more of the parties may decide to appeal the trial court decision. To preserve the trial court protections of sworn testimony, cross-examination, and rebuttal, appeals courts operate under a general rule: Appellate court review is limited to the trial court record of the evidence submitted. Shamefully, the general rule is not being followed. Enter the culprit –

Netflix on Tuesday reported a loss of 200,000 subscribers during the first quarter — its first decline in paid users in more than a decade — and warned of deepening trouble ahead.
The company’s shares cratered more than 25% in extended hours after the report on more than a full day’s worth of trading volume. Fellow streaming stocks Roku, Spotify and Disney also tumbled in the after-hours market after Netflix’s brutal update.

The regime media (the amalgamation of the legacy media, elitist opinion writers, and the internet troika: Google/Facebook/Twitter) finds itself in a quandary of its own making. (snip) The quandary: how does the regime media avoid the exposure of Joe Biden’s lifelong corruption and failures without the public’s inevitable comparison of the two men, their families, and their accomplishments? A comparison that would result in the effective exoneration and rehabilitation of Donald Trump, whom they relentlessly accused of being the most unscrupulous person on earth. A cudgel they could no longer use if he decides to run for the presidency in 2024.

Riverside County, California - President Joe Biden is considering backing down on plans to end the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Title 42 — the public health authority that has doubled as a border control measure — as Republican lawmakers head to the United States-Mexico border to sound the alarm on illegal immigration.
On Tuesday, a source told Axios that Biden and his top agency officials are considering not following through on their current plans to end the use of Title 42 on May 23 — a move that they admit could bring a wave of illegal immigration never seen before in American history.

Many readers will recall that Fox News host Tucker Carlson was on the receiving end of some especially juvenile Mean Girl-style tweeting and “reporting” from supposed “journalists” and media hall monitors back in March 2021 when he had the nerve to call out “technology reporter” Taylor Lorenz, who back then worked for the New York Times, over her trying to have it both ways on the issue of online harassment of social media users, which apparently is Lorenz’s job.
In response to Carlson laying out inconvenient facts, the Usual Suspects including the NYT jumped into action at the time by accusing him of “misogyny”

Fox News host Jesse Watters admitted on “The Five,” during a conversation about climate activists letting the air out of SUV tires, that he had deflated his colleague and future wife’s tires so he could drive her home when he was trying to get a date with her.Co-host Jeanine Pirro started the line of banter off by questioning Watters on whether climate activists “are convincing their own left-wing progressives.”“It can be convincing,” Watters responded. “I was trying to get Emma to date me. First thing I did, I let the air out of your tires. She couldn’t go anywhere. She needed a lift, I said ‘hey, you need a lift?’

A couple of years ago I moved to a different state and had to change my auto insurance policy with my big-name insurance company. A month after paying for the new policy, I accidentally discovered that they were about to auto-renew my old policy (for the state I no longer lived in). I was livid. The lady on the phone told me “Well, of course, you have to tell us to cancel your old policy". Recently I canceled the policy, which was an amazingly tricky and confusing process. I can’t imagine what it would be like trying to make a claim after an accident with such shysters.

Did a crack just appear in Vladimir Putin’s domestic standing? One oligarch with his Instagram access still in place blasted Putin’s invasion as a “crazy war,” and refuted the widespread reporting that Russians supported it. Oleg Tinkov, who founded the second-largest credit-card company in Russia, declared that 90% of the country opposed the war — and that Putin knows it:
Wealthy Russian businessman Oleg Tinkov on Tuesday condemned what he called Moscow’s “crazy war” in Ukraine, saying 90% of his countrymen did not support it and calling on the West to offer Vladimir Putin a dignified way to withdraw.
