The madman who opened fire on a Brooklyn subway car and left 29 injured, 10 of them shot has been taken into custody, law enforcement sources told The Post. Frank James, 62, was named by cops as the sole person of interest after a man in a gas mask, helmet, and neon construction vest threw two smoke grenades and opened fire on straphangers while riding the Manhattan-bound N train just before 8:30 a.m. James rented a U-Haul van linked to the attack, authorities said during a news conference on Tuesday. The suspect had posted several rambling conspiracy-laden YouTube videos, railing against the city’s mental health services ...

I'm glad he was caught quickly. At first I thought the suspect must have been pretty intelligent to pull off such an attack and get away. Then it became obvious that NY subways have such poor security he just waddled away amongst the chaos - but left behind scads of evidence.

Moments ago, I saw the story of the subway bomber on the news. It was revealed that the camera in the station was broken, and the police did not know the shooting of 27 people was taking place until people with cell phones called in. It seems that the funds wasted on painting streets with BLM and removing statues could be better spent to repair cameras and such to protect the citizens. That is just my opinion.

This guy is 5'-5"? Get out your measuring tape! This is what the Democrats have done in making everything about race. Crazy people like Frank James get to believe that the blacks are screwed every which way to Sunday and take matters into their own hands. The one person who could stop this is Barack Hussein etc., but he wants this. We have to keep Republicans' feet to the fire in getting guys like James off the streets and making Obama and his followers irrelevant. This is why we need Trump, who doesn't take big money from donors.

Prices that consumers pay on everyday items surged in March to their highest levels since the early days of the Reagan administration, according to Labor Department data released Tuesday. The consumer price index, which measures a wide-ranging basket of goods and services, jumped 8.5% from a year ago on an unadjusted basis, above even the already elevated Dow Jones estimate for 8.4%. Excluding food and energy, the CPI increased 6.5%, in line with the expectation. The data reflected price increases not seen in the U.S. since the stagflation days of the late 1970s and early ’80s.

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, who President Biden nominated to the Supreme Court to become the first ever Black female justice, admitted Tuesday that she could not recall the basis for the infamous Dred Scott decision, which in 1857 said that a Black person whose ancestors had been slaves could not be an American citizen. The case came up during Jackson’s confirmation hearing on Tuesday, when she faced questioning from Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas. Cornyn brought up the concept of substantive due process, a legal doctrine utilized to expand the Constitution’s due process clause to protect various rights not enumerated in the Constitution.

President Joe Biden will nominate federal Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on Friday to replace Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, which would make her the first black woman on the high court's bench should she be confirmed by the Senate. Breyer announced his retirement last month after 28 years on the Supreme Court, effective when the current term ends this summer. That paved the way for Biden to fulfill his 2020 campaign promise of nominating a black woman as a Supreme Court justice.

An effective and more affordable treatment for lung cancer may not gain approval after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) complained about the lack of black people in its clinical trial, with a top FDA cancer official repeatedly noting in a meeting that it is Black History Month. Eli Lilly and a Chinese partner called Innovent believe the drug, known as Tyvyt or sintilimab, could extend the lives of those suffering with late-stage non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and be more affordable than other treatments. The clinical trial patients were Asian because the trial was conducted in China.

A Manhattan judge on Monday said he will toss out Sarah Palin’s libel lawsuit against the New York Times over an editorial that falsely linked her to a mass shooting — but he didn’t exactly side with the Gray Lady. The former Alaska governor sued The Times – and the newspaper’s former editorial page editor, James Bennet – in 2017 after the paper published an editorial under the headline “America’s Lethal Politics.” But Manhattan federal court Judge Jed Rakoff said Monday he would dismiss the complaint when the jury returns a verdict because Palin had not met the high standard of “actual malice” in the complaint.

The Trafalgar Group is very accurate in its polling. It found 55.7% of voters prefer a Republican candidate in the upcoming congressional races. 42.2% prefer a Democrat. Let me put that in perspective. Remember the 2010 congressional races when the Tea Party flipped 63 seats for Republicans, which gave them their largest majority in decades? Republicans received 51.7% of the votes overall. Democrats got 44.9%. That was a 6.8-point gap. This is a 13.5-point gap.

Minnesota has removed race as a preferential factor for determining which COVID-19 patients should receive scarce monoclonal antibodies, which are outpatient infusions that reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalization. Updated rationing guidance on Wednesday prioritizes infusions when they are in short supply for people who are immunocompromised or pregnant. It also gives preference to people who are older or have underlying conditions that increase their risk for severe COVID-19, but it switched to a scoring system that no longer considers race.

That’s a big shift from two weeks ago, when McAuliffe was ahead by five, 51-46 percent. Among the larger pool of registered voters, it’s a one-point race: McAuliffe 47 percent vs. Youngkin 48 percent. Two weeks ago, McAuliffe led among registered voters by 11 points, 52-41 percent.

Expecting to find hardened criminals, Dungy found instead “19- and 20- and 21-year-old kids who looked like my boys.” When Dungy asked what accounted for the young men’s incarceration, Brown told him, “(snip) Ninety-five percent of these boys did not grow up with their dad.”
