BERLIN - The chief of the German army vented his frustration over what he sees as the long-running neglect of military readiness in his country in an unusual public rant a few hours after Russia invaded Ukraine, adding that the army was in bad shape. Russian forces invaded Ukraine by land, air and sea on Thursday, confirming the worst fears of the West with the biggest attack by one state against another in Europe since World War Two. The Germans need to recreate a Panzer Group East and assign it ten Panzer Divisions and ten Panzer Grenadier Divisions, that would get the Russian’s attention big time, but Germany can not do that overnight, or even in a couple of years, even if the Socialist Government there wanted to.

Re #1, huge numbers of German Lepeord tanks and their fighting aircraft have been "down for parts" for years. Apparently the government doesn't intend to actually have a military that is functional, just letting it wither on the vine.

Thanks to the likes of Joe Biden and Mitch McConnell when it comes to Germany's defense the United States is like a colony of Germany supplying troops and resources Germany won't provide itself. This state of affairs is indefensible since Germany is more than capable of providing for its own defense and is, moreover, not much of an "ally."

When you subtract the USA, the UK, and possibly Canada there is not much military power left in NATO except for the French surrender monkeys. Trump recognized that fact and called for NATO to spend more on their defenses and not rely on US manpower and money to defend them. In response the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats in the USA fraudulently called Trump out for trying to destroy NATO by leaving NATO, when Trump was doing no such thing. All the European NATO countries and Canada have greatly reduced their land forces in recent years. That includes even the UK that should now wake up and at least double the size of their military forces. Today while the Russian military is reportedly deploying about 190,000 ground troops to attack Ukraine, the entire British Army would be lucky to be able to deploy 25,000 ground troops to defend the UK and other NATO countries facing Russia. That should tell you something!

So this is what $Bill Klinton, Diane Fein$tein and NastyP call the peace dividend? This past weekend I took a drive around the now defunct but once proud and bustling Naval Air Station Alameda. The once bustling base, able to handle the largest surface ships, aircraft carriers, and aircraft maintenance facilities in the Pacific fleet now sits in ruin. Many of the buildings are decaying from the salt air and almost all the on base housing has been ceded to the local homeless/low income industry. It was truly heartbreaking. I'm sure this isn't the only that's gone down the tubes at the hands of the dems lies about every damn thing they get their hands on. We couldn't help those people in Ukraine even if we wanted to.

Rising inflation, a continuing pandemic, a foreign policy misstep in Afghanistan and Democratic infighting all marred President Biden's first year, and now a majority of respondents to a new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll say his first year was a "failure." In all, 56% said Biden's first year in office was a failure, versus just 39% who said it was a success. What's more, 54% said he's not fulfilling his campaign promises, and 52% said he has done more to divide the country than unite it, despite uniting the country being a pillar of Biden's 2020 presidential run. The union said in a statement Friday that given the unprecedented crisis in Ukraine, the inclusion of a Russian entry would bring the competition into “disrepute.″ “The EBU is an apolitical member organisation of broadcasters committed to upholding the values of public service,” the union said on Twitter. “We remain dedicated to protecting the values of a cultural competition which promotes international exchange and understanding, brings audiences together, celebrates diversity through music and unites Europe on one stage.” This

BRUSSELS — A new front line of conflict is taking shape in Europe, with enhanced levels of risk that raise questions about whether NATO will, or even can, respond effectively. Having invaded Ukraine and deployed its troops in a compliant Belarus, Russia has suddenly extended its military power to the borders of several NATO countries, including the Baltic nations. If Russia succeeds in taking over Ukraine and keeping bases in Belarus, as many experts now expect, its forces will extend from the borders of the Baltics and Poland to Slovakia, Hungary and northern Romania, making it significantly harder for NATO to

WASHINGTON -- The Biden administration is delaying decisions on new oil and gas drilling on federal land and other energy-related actions after a federal court blocked the way officials were calculating the real-world costs of climate change. The administration said in a legal filing that a Feb. 11 ruling by a Louisiana federal judge will affect dozens of rules by at least four federal agencies. Among the immediate effects is an indefinite delay in planned oil and gas lease sales on public lands in a half-dozen states in the West, including Wyoming, Montana and Utah.
