The sister of convicted fraudster Bernie Madoff, who swindled more than $50 billion from investors to his company, was found dead Thursday from gunshot wounds with her husband at their Florida home, authorities said on Sunday. Detective discovered Sondra Wiener, 86, and Marvin Wiener, 89, dead in an apparent murder-suicide around 12:55 p.m. in Boynton Beach, the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office said in a statement. It was not immediately clear which of the Wieners is suspected of killing the other and an official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office. Madoff died in a federal

The trail of despair left by Madoff continues to this day. He was a monster and I hope his soul is tortured for eternity.

They were both in the mid-80's. Some elderly couples just decide to cash it in together. Not in my belief system, but I can see where neither wants to be without the other. Only God knows their reasons, and may He have mercy on their decision.

This entire family has been mostly wiped out. Hard to feel sorry for people who happily lived extremely wealthy lives by defrauding others. They knew all about it.

The FBI has remained silent on whether it will fire or discipline the agent who initially told the media and public that the shocking New Year's Day attack in New Orleans was "not a terrorist event," before the agency quickly backtracked and reported the attack was in fact under investigation as a terror incident. Fox News Digital reached out to the FBI's press office and press secretary on Thursday and Friday, inquiring whether New Orleans field office FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Alethea Duncan would face termination or disciplinary action over her initial claim the attack was not connected

RENO, Nev. — President Joe Biden’s administration said Monday it is taking steps to bar oil, gas and geothermal development for 20 years in northeastern Nevada’s Ruby Mountains. The administration said it has submitted an application to withdraw about 264,000 acres (107,000 hectares) of federal lands in the area from such leasing. That starts a 90-day public comment period on the 20-year prohibition and prevents oil, gas and geothermal development for two years during the process. (Snip) The move came three weeks before the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, who has vowed to ramp up oil and gas production and

RALEIGH, N.C. — In one of his final acts in office, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper commuted the death sentences of 15 men convicted of murder to life in prison without parole on Tuesday, reducing the state's death row population by more than 10%. Cooper, who was barred from seeking a third consecutive term, will give way to fellow Democrat Josh Stein on Wednesday when Stein takes the oath of office. Cooper, who was previously the attorney general for 16 years, said his commutation decisions occurred following a thorough review of petitions offered by defendants and input from prosecutors and victims'

Democrat Stacey Abrams, the renowned voting rights activist and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate, argued the U.S. was nearly “evenly divided” when President-elect Trump won the 2024 presidential election over Vice President Harris. “Donald Trump won the election, but it wasn’t a landslide,” Abrams, who lost two election bids for governor in the Peach State, said in an interview Monday with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes. “It was an evenly divided nation. He got more people, but this was not the seismic shift where 57, 58 percent of America said no.” “It was less than 50 percent of the electorate who said this

Two men from Portland died searching for Sasquatch during Christmas week, according to officials. Around 1 a.m. on Christmas Day, Skamania County Communications Center received a report from a family member of two people who were searching for Sasquatch and were missing after they had planned to return home on Dec. 24, according to the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO). A "flock camera," also known as a license plate reader, located the men's car off of Oklahoma Road, near Willard, Washington, SCSO said. ATLANTA, Ga. - Over a year ago when former President Jimmy Carter entered hospice care, President Joe Biden said he planned to deliver the eulogy at the funeral. “He asked me to do his eulogy,” Biden said, before stopping himself from saying more. “Excuse me, I shouldn’t say that.” Carter’s death was announced Sunday, and it’s not clear whether Biden’s plans are the same as when he announced them. “I spent time with Jimmy Carter and it’s finally caught up with him, but they found a way to keep him going for a lot longer than they anticipated because they

Homelessness in the U.S. jumped 18.1% this year, hitting a record level, with the dramatic rise driven mostly by a lack of affordable housing as well as devastating natural disasters and a surge of migrants in some regions of the country, federal officials said Friday. More than 770,000 people were counted as homeless in federally required tallies taken across the country during a single night in January 2024, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development said in its new report. The estimate likely undercounts the number of unhoused people given that it doesn't include people staying with friends or

New York Governor Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, signed legislation this week that requires major fossil fuel companies to contribute fees to support New York's climate change mitigation efforts. Under the new law, companies with significant greenhouse gas emissions will be required to contribute to a state fund dedicated to infrastructure projects aimed at mitigating future climate change damage and repairing existing impacts. The legislation, approved earlier this year, compels major oil and gas companies to help cover the costs of recovery after extreme weather events. The funds will also support resilience projects, including coastal wetland restoration and upgrades to critical

Two liberal attorneys claimed Thursday that Congress can still prevent President-elect Donald Trump from taking office — and elect Vice President Kamala Harris in his place — if they act fast. Congress can reject electoral votes on when they gather to certify them on Jan. 6 because Trump is disqualified from holding office under 14th Amendment, which restricts anyone who took an oath to support the Constitution and then “engaged in insurrection” from holding office, attorneys Evan Davis and David Schulte wrote in a column for The Hill. “The unlikelihood of congressional Republicans doing anything that might elect Harris as

While Ossoff has voted in line with the Biden administration agenda 97% of the time, he has expressed he would like to work with the Trump administration, calling himself “one of the most bipartisan members of the Senate.” Ossoff won the 2020 Georgia Senate runoff election against then-Sen. Honduran President Xiomara Castro has threatened to terminate military cooperation with the United States if President-elect Donald Trump proceeds with his plan for mass deportations of illegal immigrants, including those from Honduras. This ultimatum underscores the glaring hypocrisy of a leader who has failed to address the root causes driving her own citizens to flee her country in the first place. A primary objective of Trump’s mass deportation plan is to remove individuals with criminal records who are residing in the country illegally.

MSNBC has an ongoing ratings problem and host Lawrence O’Donnell is clearly doing everything he can to make sure it stays that way. During a recent rant on his little-watched program, O’Donnell singled out U.S. veterans, specifically from the Army, as a greater terror threat than the people illegally crossing the southern border. A former CIA officer recently said that more than a thousand al-Qaeda operatives have likely crossed the open border and are now in the United States just waiting to strike but apparently, O’Donnell hasn’t heard that report. MSNBC should be ashamed for airing this.

President-elect Donald J. Trump will be sentenced on January 10, but there will be no jail time, not that was ever a concern. The laws and statutes got so contorted that even CNN’s Elie Honig, the network's chief legal analyst and former assistant US attorney, couldn’t defend it, aptly calling it a total disaster of a case. In essence, Trump only got convicted because Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and his team perverted the rule of law. Law professor Jonathan Turley nailed why Judge Juan Merchan wants to get this wrapped on January 10. It’s to give the liberal media the talking point they’ve salivated over for months:

You can smell it in the air. A deep sense of betrayal among Democratic voters. An underlying realization that the Democratic party’s politburo — Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, Jeffries, and their courtiers of elected official and consultant sycophants — sold voters a bill of goods: the gaslighting of the public on President Biden’s decrepitude; the false idol of the Kamala Harris “campaign of joy” as a smart last-minute stand-in; and the repeated cowering to the far left whose wokeness and moral condescension turns off most voters. In a just world, one might expect a formal no-confidence vote on this leadership failure.

On Monday, Jan. 6, Congress will convene to certify the 2024 reelection of former President Donald Trump. Jan. 6, 2025, marks the fourth anniversary of the Capitol riot that Democrats and their media still falsely portray as an “insurrection.” Hundreds of Trump supporters gathered at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, after Mr. Trump spoke to a crowd. Among other things, he said: “Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore, and that’s what this is all about. To use a favorite term that all of you people really came up with, we will ‘stop the steal.’” He urged them to protest Congress’ counting of Electoral College ballots.

Jimmy Carter was an awful president. He wasn’t a crook like Joe Biden, but for actual presidential acts, he was perhaps the worst. Certainly, he was the worst ex-president. In office, he did things like give away the Panama Canal, without retaining any control or even minimal security rights. Problems we are still dealing with right now. Not to mention the disastrous China appeasement policy. Wanting to recognize Red China was bad enough. But there was no reason to drop formal relations with Taiwan, the Republic of China. Many countries sent ambassadors to both. But no, Carter was always eager to help out the totalitarians.
