Auburn University will again require masks for all people on campus and university transportation, starting Jan. 3. The university posted its announcement Wednesday, “after consulting with local and state medical authorities.” Masks are now required at Auburn regardless of vaccination status.

Comments:

The insanity never ends. If Alabama had a decent governor this would not be allowed.

Guess it is time now to stop referring to colleges and universities as "institutions of higher learning". A parent has to be either crazy, brainwashed, or just plain stupid to send their kid to college. Sending your kid to a college should now be classified as child abuse.

Well if one mask is good, maybe wearing 5 is better. Better yet, duct tape is thicker, so the idiot sheeples can wear that instead.

I was hoping someone by now would have completed a rigorous study of masks and provided a definitive answer to the question: do they work YES or NO? We can land several vehicles on Mars but don’t have the brainpower to resolve the mask issue. WhT a crock!

Putting a face diaper on to prevent Covid is as effective as putting a diaper on Brandon to prevent him from Schiffing himself. Seems the last two years and face diapers, shutdowns and socialist distance that have been abject failures will continue to be the failures of the land.

The mask mandate is like the six feet distancing they pulled it out of their backsides on a whim. We are being led by morons and buffoons who haven't a clue as to how the virus is spread. There's no science involved it's all guessing. The masking might keep something from flying onto other people like sneezing but it sure isn't going to stop the airborne virus. Auburn's campus is sure going to look stupid I guess with all those masks around. MAGA

The U.S. Constitution is the sacred text of American government and civic life. But it’s time to face facts: The document, written in 1787, isn’t working. The signs are all around us. Just 38 percent of Americans in a recent Gallup poll expressed either a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in the presidency, down from 48 percent in 2001. Congress, never high in the public’s estimation to begin with, fell from 26 percent to a mere 12 percent. The Supreme Court has also taken a hit, down from 50 percent to 36 percent during the same period.

Former secretary of state and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton appeared to single out progressive lawmakers for criticism in a recent interview, warning that an inability to “get things done” could cost Democrats the House and Senate in next year’s midterm elections. “I think that it is a time for some careful thinking about what wins elections, and not just in deep-blue districts where a Democrat and a liberal Democrat, or so-called progressive Democrat, is going to win,” Clinton told MSNBC’s Willie Geist. “I understand why people want to argue for their priorities. There is a quiet revolution happening across America and it could mark the beginning of the biggest spiritual, cultural, and political changes this country has seen since the Civil War. New data made public earlier this week by the U.S. Census Bureau makes clear that millions of Americans are leaving Blue high-tax, high-crime, high-COVID-mandate Democratic states and moving to Red Republican states where taxes are lower, the police aren’t being defunded, and churches still thrive. Consider the contrast between Texas and Idaho on the one hand and New York and the District of Columbia on the other, as described by the Census Bureau (emphasis added):
