It should be far too early to be talking about the next presidential election, but between President Biden’s advanced age, his sagging fortunes, and widespread worries about Vice President Kamala Harris’s political competence, the parlor games are already beginning. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who ran an impressive campaign for president as a political underdog, has emerged in the hearts and minds of some Democratic strategists as the favored successor.
In reality, Buttigieg, the brainy former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, exemplifies the problems that Democrats are facing in the post-Trump political environment.

I have this feeling - - and it's getting stronger and stronger - - coming from deep down inside - - yes - - a feeling that 2024 just may be Cory Booker's breakthrough year.
I can't explain where that comes from - - but to quote Jane Darwell - - "When I have a feeling - - I have a feeling."
Watch out for Spartacus!

The Dems' problem with Petey is how to sell a red-diaper baby, whose lifestyle is repugnant to half the electorate, to Middle America, when he has a demonstrable record of failure in every previous post he has held.
But he's a good talker, and that was enough to sell a gullible public on Barack Obama.

"impressive campaign "? I must have missed it.
This guy has NO QUALIFICATIONS to run anything. But that rarely hinders Democrat candidates.

The mayor is male but not a man. That's a problem for sure, except in certain rarified strata.

Remember that Pete's husband/wife, Chasten James Glezman Buttigieg, has a say in the matter. They might have future comments in-between their toenails drying. The MSM will be deeply interested in their favorite color(s).

An issue, sub rosa, is "will the public accept a 'butt wrangler' as serious presidential material?" I don't think so.

Mayor Pete's record of failure in the 2020 primaries, as mayor of South Bend, and as absentee occupant of his cabinet position do not bode well for 2024 unless we are trying to check a box for a gay man who wears a boob to serve milk to a child.

Alfred E. Neuman never knew governing could be so laborious and time consuming and, poor boy, it's getting in the way of his love life and child rearing duties.
Simple answer to a simple problem: quit now and go back to Indiana-po-lis because you're really not accomplishing much where you are.

So, according to this article in a nutshell, all the democrats have to do is convince their knuckle-dragging, slack-jawed, buck-toothed, bead-eyed, spittle spewing troglodyte voters to vote for their brainy candidates. Right

Not to mention that he's like 5'8", and it's become an article of faith that short people don't get elected president.

So according to this scribbler, the Democ'RAT's choices in 2024 are 'Pothole Pete' Butt-Boy and 'Heels-Up' Harris the former 'escort' to Willie Brown.
Not much of a choice.
No wonder the Democ'RAT media is so intent on dirtying up Cuomo. They're using their tried-and-true 'sex scandal' methods to try to make Cuomo unelectable in 2024. The fact that he was a terrible governor of New Yawk is not important to the 'Rats. What is important is to dirty him up and take him out of contention so that a member of their far-Leftist 'club' is the candidate for the Leftist media to fawn over.

... the "brainy" former mayor of South Bend(?) Educated, maybe. However, "Education" and "Intelligence" are not synonymous. Read: Hillary R. Clinton.

The facts of the matter is the Democrats have no bench. The left destroyed their party and it could have not happened to a more deserving group of fools.

Here we go again - Little Petey to "too smart" to appeal to the knuckle draggers in Middle America. Just like John Effen' Kerry, Al Gore Jr., Bill Bradley, George McGovern, and Michael Dukakis.
