Sure, William Harrison died just 32 days after the inauguration. He was too stupid to wear a coat. But mishandling of the Shah in particular, and the middle east, in general, pushed Jimmy Carter into the “worst president” spot. Now, Joe Biden is thundering past Jimmy Carter like a runaway train headed over the cliff.
In just seven months, America is experiencing the worst inflation, ever. Biden didn’t just “heat up” the economy, he put a hot iron into everyone’s wallet. Biden converted the southern border from a border, into an express lane of illegal immigrants many of whom have been released into the interior,

President Biden said Wednesday he is requiring nursing homes to mandate COVID-19 vaccines for their workers as a condition of federal funding and scolded GOP governors who’ve overruled schools that want to impose mask mandates. Speaking from the White House, Mr. Biden said he instructed the Department of Health and Human Services to write regulations that tether reimbursement under the Medicaid and Medicare programs to required vaccinations for workers. He also told the Education Department to examine whether legal remedies are needed to let schools impose the COVID-19 rules they want to in states that have intervened. The nursing home policy will affect about 1.3 million people

Trump would score 43 percent of the vote, and 14 percent of people would pick 'some other candidate' - but the survey doesn't specify which.Biden beat Trump in November 2020 with 51.3 percent of the popular vote, compared to Trump's 46.8 percent. But this time, according to Rasmussen, Trump would win more women and black voters.

Now, there’s been a lot wrong, right down the line, when it comes to how Joe Biden has dealt with the debacle in Afghanistan.
But one of the main problems with his administration is the failure to actually speak frankly and with transparency with the American people. They started this off very badly with both Biden and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki being on vacation. Biden didn’t even come back until Monday to make his speech. Then he went back to Camp David, and then came back to make a speech today. But that speech, as we previously reported, isn’t on Afghanistan, it’s on the Wuhan coronavirus. That’s stunning.

Videos of Taliban fighters parading in US-made armored vehicles, wielding US-supplied firearms and climbing on American Black Hawk helicopters after the defeat of Afghan government forces have embarrassed the White House. The Islamist insurgents, who easily captured control of the country after a months-long campaign, seized huge amounts of weaponry, equipment and munitions from the Afghan armed forces, most of it supplied over the past two decades by Washington. Social media showed Taliban fighters carrying M4 and M18 assault rifles and M24 sniper weapons, driving around in the iconic US Humvees and, in one video, apparently wearing US-style special forces

Exuberant after President Joe Biden’s spectacular defeat in Afghanistan, China’s state-run Global Times on Tuesday warned that if any American troops are present in Taiwan when Beijing decides to invade it by force, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will “crush them by force.”The Global Times was responding indignantly to a tweet from Sen. I mean, you’ve got to be kidding me. In the friendliest of settings, Joe Biden still just doesn’t get it. An interview with former Clinton operative George Stephanopoulos shows a president who simply cannot take responsibility for his screw-up. We have at least 10,000 Americans trapped in Afghanistan. There seems to be no solid plan to get them out safely other than entrusting the Taliban, a terrorist group, not to attack them as some undoubtedly are trying to make their way to the airport in Kabul. Then again, our government said that they cannot guarantee their safety.

The bishop has been subject to other Vatican investigations—including covering up reports of sexual abuse—and many in his diocese have petitioned for his removal since 2014. In 2015, the Vatican launched an investigation into alleged embezzlement and having a romantic relationship with his driver.

That response — this is not a joke — came in the form of a strongly worded letter. Watch: [video]

The Cuban government on Tuesday made it illegal to criticize the regime on social media, giving the government more tools to punish pro-democracy protesters.
A decree from Communications Minister Mayra Arevich bans criticism of "the constitutional, social and economic" rules of the state and acts that "alter public order." The decree also creates a form that Cubans can use to report each other for "cybersecurity incidents." The decree comes a month after the regime restricted internet access for citizens in an attempt to stifle criticism. Penalties for violating the decree will be set in legislation later.
Internet access in Cuba has been inconsistent since the protests started on July 11.

UVALDE, Texas—Rancher John Sewell recently picked up a pamphlet that had fallen from the backpack of an illegal immigrant who was trespassing on his property near Uvalde, Texas—about 50 miles from the U.S.–Mexico border.
On one side is a map that details transport routes from Panama to the United States. It pinpoints in great detail where migrants can find shelter or get medical help along the way. The other side is full of useful information, in Spanish, including how to more safely travel through forests and jungles, find shelter, get medical help, and deal with immigration authorities.
It was published by the Red Cross and is titled “Messages of Self-Help for Migrants.”

The Republicans were dispirited and disunited. Donald Trump had been muzzled by Big Tech, and the January 6 riot inquiry promised weeks of bad headlines for the GOP.
But after a promising beginning, Democrats on the Hill have faltered and stumbled badly. They managed to pass a pandemic relief measure via the reconciliation process, but their efforts to pass an infrastructure bill appear dead in the water

Before this is over, innocent American blood – civilians, not military – will be spilled because of Joe Biden’s hubris and ineptitude. If it doesn’t, it won’t be because his plan was solid and everything went okay. He’ll have just been really lucky.
There appears to have been no plan to evacuate American citizens from Afghanistan. Those civilians are being told “you’re on your own” in getting to the airport. It is infuriating coming from the administration that came in saying the last President did not do his job in protecting Americans from a virus.

We saw Joe Biden's horrible press conference. Sixty-nine percent of American disapprove of how he handled the recent debacle in Afghanistan. Who else was involved in this disaster? The first domino to fall in Afghanistan was caused by secretary of defense Lloyd Austin and chairman of Joint Chief of Staff General Mark Milley. According to the AP on July 6, 2021:

Most voters blame His Fraudulency Joe Biden for the Afghanistan catastrophe and Donald Trump would beat him in a re-vote, per the latest from Rasmussen Reports (in a poll scheduled to be released later today).
When asked, “Who is to blame for the Taliban taking over Afghanistan?” 51 percent blamed Biden, only 33 percent said Trump, while 15 percent remained undecided.
When asked, “How would you rate the way President Biden is handling national security issues?” only 38 percent said excellent (18 percent) or good (20 percent). A full 60 percent said fair (12 percent) or poor (48 percent).
The poll also asked who the respondent voted for in the 2020 election.

In what could be an indicator of things to come in the 2022 mid-term election, the GOP flipped a state senate seat in a Connecticut special election on Tuesday night – the first flip for either party in 2021.
The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) announced in an email:
State Republicans tonight delivered the first flip of a state legislative seat in a special election by either party in 2021, as Republican Ryan Fazio defeated liberal Democrat Alex Gevanter in Connecticut’s state Senate District 36 – a district Joe Biden won by more than 25% in 2020.
RSLC President Dee Duncan hailed the moment as a sign

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Images of the Taliban cracking down on a protest and bloodied women and children beaten by fighters are contradicting the more moderate image the militant group has been trying to project as it tries to consolidate power in Afghanistan. (Snip) A former police official told Reuters four people had been killed in the protest and 13 injured. Afghanistan’s Pajhwok news agency shared video of what it said was the incident, showing crowds running as gunfire was heard. NBC News was not able to verify the footage. Evacuation flights out of Kabul are taking off almost empty despite tens of thousands of Afghans trying to flee the country after the Taliban formed a ring of steel around the airport and barred most people from reaching it.
One Australian Hercules C-130 aircraft with room for 120 people took off with just 26 on board today, the government has confirmed, while a German Airbus A-400M with room for 150 was carrying just seven people when it departed yesterday. That is despite there being around 50,000 Afghans gathered at the airport who have been promised sanctuary by western nations. One particularly harrowing piece of footage showed women pleading

Is Kamala Harris jumping ship?
Sure looks like it, now that Congress is talking up the 25th Amendment to remove doddering Joe Biden from office for incapacitation amid the biggest foreign policy catastrophe since the Saigon embassy rooftop evacuation of 1975.
Suddenly, Kamala doesn't seem to want to be anywhere near old Joe.
First, there have been reports of screamings behind the scenes, according to commentator Jack Posobiec, who seems to have someone on the inside at the White House giving him the lowdown. The Taliban, who are desperately trying to present a moderate face after sweeping into power in Afghanistan, have blown up the statue of a Shiite militia leader who had fought against them during the civil war in the 1990s. When the Islamic militants seized power from rival warlords in 1996, they killed the militia leader, Abdul Ali Mazari—a champion of the country’s ethnic Hazara minority, Shiites who were persecuted under the Sunni Taliban’s earlier rule. The statue stood in the central Bamyan province, where the Taliban infamously blew up two huge 1,500-year-old statues of Buddha carved into a mountain in 2001, claiming they violated Islam’s prohibition on idolatry.

TOKYO - The Russian Kalashnikov AK-47 and its derivatives have long been the assault rifle of choice for militant groups because of their rugged design, but some Taliban fighters are trading them in for captured U.S. guns as Afghanistan's government collapses.
Video and pictures published by the Taliban on Twitter and elsewhere show fighters carrying M4 carbines and M16 rifles discarded by Afghan army units. Other images show Taliban forces capturing abandoned government vehicles. The U.S. guns are more accurate and have greater range than the their AK-47s, but on their own may not deliver much added capability on the battlefield.

A meeting between Iowa City's Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the city's city council took a surprise turn — and became heated — Tuesday when Iowa City Mayor Bruce Teague suggested reworking and even dismantling the body in its current form.
The suggestion was spurred by Teague's disagreement with the commission's proposed budget — specifically, the $54,000 that would be dedicated to $1,000 monthly stipends for the group's nine commissioners.
"Personally, I believe this council should really rethink and re-look at what our charge is for this commission,"

The true nature of this struggle can never be solved by politics. It can only be solved through repentance, and we have proof of that here.
Christianity has always been hand in hand with the greatest empires. The abandonment of Christianity has always led to the collapse of any nation or people or family or person who abandons it. This is an axiom.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana — Mitch Daniels, the president of Purdue University, has a letter he wants to share. (Snip) It is clear he measures the weight of everything he has done since he became the 12th president of Purdue University in 2013. This includes the past year, when he kept the university open during COVID with protections and protocols many called controversial.
“The past 18 months have taught me that while you cannot control the world around you, you can control how you live within those circumstances. That is what defines who you are and what builds resilience and character,” he said of how he approached his responsibilities as a university

Americans have been given an ultra red pill with the events in Afghanistan. As the incompetence and corruption of America’s military apparatus are laid bare before our eyes, as America’s military leaders are hiding in shame (as they ought to be), and as America’s credibility abroad is being shredded, there is much demanding our reflection. The American people deserve better than the military apparatchiks and crony politicians we have now, but we must learn from our experiences and adjust course. This is the requirement of all free people.

On his first day in office, President Joe Biden embarked on a campaign to rein in domestic oil and gas production. On his 204th day in office, he was pleading with OPEC to increase its production to stem the sharp rise in gasoline prices, to which OPEC said no dice.
Virtually overnight, the nation has gone from Trump-era “energy dominance” to a Carter-era energy crisis.
But unlike Jimmy Carter, who blundered his way into gasoline shortages, Biden is intentionally creating

Fox News analyst Gen. Jack Keane (Ret.) ripped President Joe Biden for throwing U.S. allies in Afghanistan under the proverbial bus. Biden , he says, is not “telling the whole story” about Afghan forces and he accused the president of delivering several factually inaccurate statements about the “chaos and debacle” in the now-Taliban-controlled country during his speech yesterday. In a phone interview with Fox’s News’ Neil Cavuto on Monday, Keane took issue with the president’s claims.“I would like to point out a couple of factual errors in those remarks that deal with his defense of his decision,” said Keane. “When he’s saying that the Afghans are not willing to fight,

The lightning advance of the Taliban in retaking the country has led Afghan Americans, former generals and leading statesmen to blame President Joe Biden for a hasty US withdrawal. But he appears to have the public on his side - for now.
Hadia Essazada wept as she recounted the horror the Taliban visited on her household, first beating her father, and then killing her brother.
The first time "they were beating my father with an iron rod because they were looking for my elder brother", who had fought to resist their rule in the 1990s, she told BBC Persian.

Former President Trump on Tuesday claimed he threatened to launch strikes against the chief Taliban negotiator's home village if insurgents failed to observe the terms of a peace deal, as he blasted President Biden's handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.'It's not the concept of leaving,' he told Fox News anchor Sean Hannity. In October of 2020, former White House physician Ronny Jackson raised a question that was on the minds of many voters: “I watch Joe Biden on the campaign trail and I am concerned that he does not have the cognitive ability to serve as our commander in chief and head of state.” Jackson, who had served under Presidents Obama and Trump, stressed that he was speaking as a “concerned citizen” rather than a physician. Inevitably, the media collectively descended on Jackson like so many flying monkeys, but he raised the issue again during Biden’s absence from the public eye last weekend as Afghanistan was being overrun by the Taliban.

Vice President Kamala Harris vanished from public view for five days as President Joe Biden and his administration tackled their worst foreign policy blunder to date.
Her last solo public appearance was on August 12, as she met with business leaders to discuss the importance of childcare and paid leave benefits.
Harris last appeared publicly with President Joe Biden on August 10 as they celebrated the president’s proposed infrastructure deal passing the Senate with a bipartisan majority.
The vice president was spotted in a photo released by the White House over the weekend showing President Biden attending a video conference from Camp David with Harris and other administration officials.
