It’s Not Just About The Masks

Original Article

Posted By: earlybird, 8/9/2021 1:34:41 PM

It was never just a mask, it has always been a way of thinking. “Mask” is just shorthand. I got dumped from my volunteer work at the Hawaiian Humane Society for choosing not to wear a mask outside while walking their dogs. Neither science, the CDC, nor the state requires a mask outdoors, and I’m fully vaccinated. Some staff bot saw my naked face and informed me of their “policy.” I asked why they had such a nonsensical policy, and her only answer was “it is our policy.” The conversation ended like an ever-growing percentage of conversations in America now end, with her saying, “Do I need to call security?”

This is such a good article. It will echo so much of what many of us are and have been thinking. It is interesting that the more educated - the better-informed - are less apt to agree to having the gene therapy shots. (They are not vaccinations.) Highly recommend this article.

I really, really hope there are enough free thinking people in this nation to someday consign the wannabe tyrants who are exploiting the chinese bioweapon virus pandemic to assert unconstitutional power over everyone to the trash heap of history. We are probably fortunate that they have chosen to use the mask as their favorite virtue signal of compliance because the mask is a constant uncomfortable reminder to the rest of us how much we resent what they are doing to this nation.

The issue of masks and vaccines is basically settled in that the current tide is too strong and resistance is basically futile. What is not settled will the medium to long term consequences; however, most can see the writing on the wall. AND once one steps away from the conversation about masks and vaccines the real question is what hell do they plan to subject people to next. Again, the answer and writing are on the wall there too.

A little off subject, "social distancing" is an oxymoron. The more the distance the less social a person is. Where's the scientific study to show that 6' accomplishes anything except to stop people from being sociable?

I moved from the heart of the liberal Bay Area to a red rural zone finally in California. PTL! What a difference. I actually had some service guys working on my house, shake my hand when they left. It was such an unexpected thing. I was thrilled. No masks around here, still. Just went out yesterday and only CVS and national corporation places have employees were wearing masks and some seniors out shopping. That was it. Mostly I would say we are still at 90% mask free.

Some employers are starting to tack on a $20 to $50 monthly surcharge to their unvaccinated workers, according to a health benefits consultant group. “Employers have tried encouraging employees to get vaccinated through offering incentives like paid time off and cash, but with the Delta variant driving up infections and hospitalizations throughout the country—at the same time that vaccination rates have stalled—we have received inquiries from at least 20 employers over the past few weeks who are giving consideration to adding health coverage surcharges for the unvaccinated as a way to drive up vaccination rates in their workforce,” Wade Symons, with consultancy group Mercer, told Forbes magazine on Aug. 8.

Good grief these UniParty Senators are infuriating. Drew Altman, CEO and president of the Kaiser Family Foundation, said something very despicable about Americans who refuse to be vaccinated. This fellow who heads an untaxed foundation that is dedicated to improving health said, "A quarter of those who were unvaccinated say they will likely get a shot by the end of the year. Seeing their friends get sick and local hospitals fill up again with covid patients may speed them along and add them to the ranks." I hate being right sometimes, and this is one of those times. As I feared, Brett Kavanaugh’s cowardice in not vacating the stay on the original eviction moratorium is coming back to haunt property owners across the country. In my previous pieces on this topic, I noted that Kavanaugh had the chance to join the conservatives, vacate the stay on the original moratorium, and do so in a way that clearly prevents any future issuance given how blatantly unconstitutional this theft of property is. Instead, perhaps in some misguided attempt to get the left to love him, the Trump-appointed justice joined the liberals, allowing the moratorium to continue and expire.
