The NFL will pay very close attention to whether unvaccinated players follow Covid protocols this season, and if they don’t, the players will end up paying the league. [Snip] The new penalty comes on the heels of another restriction announced this week in which the league said that if a Covid outbreak among unvaccinated players caused a game to be canceled, players from neither team would be paid. Moreover, the team that had the outbreak would forfeit the game and be liable for financial penalties.

Money talks, BS walks. This nonsense will stop once the revenue stream cannot support the league. If it doesn't there will be no NFL.

"Shut it down!" , was the rallying cry from the 1960s and 70s. Here we are now! Down with professional sports! The NFL commits suicide! Can their be any doubt?

Stupid. NFL players are in tip top physical condition. Their chances of dying from covid are essentially zero.

For all I care they can cancel the entire season.
This NFL wokeness must be added to MBA classes that analyze historical examples of thriving businesses that have been ruined by their management's stupidity.

They played all last year before the vaccine was available. Now that the vaccine is available, they're fining people for not getting it. The logic makes no sense. Between this and playing the black national anthem before each game, their finished.

One coach has already quit the team he coached because he refuses the NFL dumb mandate. Myself I really don't care what happens to the league of kneelers.

Not a fan, never have been, won't let it air in my house, but the "powers that be" are idiots.
The self-contradiction is astounding, they played last year w/o vaccines, but now they face a $1million dollar fine for NOT putting untested, God knows what is in them shot into their bodies. And no punishment/fine for total disrespect of the American flag, its people, their fan base. Like I said, the powers that be are idiots.

The NFL is a revenue juggernaut. There are literally hundreds of players out there who would grab an NFL roster spot for minimum or less. There is no shortage of players, even if vaccination is ever required.
The NFL is doing what other employers are doing, and leaving a window open for those who refuse vaccination. That requires them to follow the "protocols". This from a league that paid handsomely for brain injuries. It's lawyers see potential lawsuits should an outbreak occur and the league did nothing to prevent one. It's not about anyone dying, rather the havoc and PR of having a roster decimated by COVIDS. Of course, the NFLPA could always fight for their members' rights...

The original "Rollerball" has been playing in my area on the cable channel.
What I thought was a stupid movie now seems very prescient. Corporations trying to stifle the individual.

Once again I have to ask ... if the majority of the players (or employees at any business) are vaccinated, why the hysteria over the few who are not? The NFL and other organizations need to drop the highly unscientific rule mandating anyone who came near a person who tests positive must self quarantine.

While I haven't watched an nfl game since Kaepie took a knee, I would still suggest to the players that they leave their teams and sit out the season until the nfl straightens up.

Well, that convinced me. If young players making millions of $$$ will 'voluntarily' get the shot, who am I to resist it?

Also#7 the wearing of felons names on their helmets won't help. Instead of wearing felons names why not wear the names of the innocent children killed every week in Chicago?

Now, what would they do if the majority of the players took a stand and refused the population control shot? How many people will be found to be unable to produce or have children in the next 10-20 years?
