WASHINGTON — The Biden administration on Tuesday suspended oil and gas leases in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, reversing a drilling program approved by the Trump administration and reviving a political fight over a remote region that is home to polar bears and other wildlife — and a rich reserve of oil. The order by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland follows a temporary moratorium on oil and gas lease activities imposed by President Joe Biden on his first day in office. CORRECTION*

It's a shame they can't stop fuel sales to politicians, so working people can continue with their lives.

Had enough yet? How 'bout when gas goes to $6 a gallon? And everything else skyrockets because the BASE price goes up? We all got happy with our stimulus checks, but gov't wants it back, with interest.
Happy now?

Worst President ever. And after Carter and Obama, that is some achievement in just 100 days.

Guess Biden will make sure that some of the new wind turbine and electric car factories are built in northern Alaska to make up for all of the oil field jobs about to be lost. I'm sure companies will rush to locate their factories in places with no road or other infrastructure. Of course, Biden could always include it in his infrastructure bill, but it would be held up for years with environmental impact studies.

Thank God we don't have to worry about being energy independent anymore!

Is this legal? When you sign a contract, there are legal terms written into it.
These thugs break the law everywhere else, probably breaking the law here, too.

When Biden was installed in the White House by the corrupt DC political system, gasoline here could be purchased for about $1.69 a gallon, now it is almost $3.00 a gallon and no doubt will continue to go up in price with Biden shutting down the resources needed for the USA to continue energy independence, necessary to keep the price of gasoline reasonable for the American people. It is well known that a big raise in energy prices is bound to adversely effect the US economy. As that occurs it will be interesting to see Biden, the leftist Democrats, and the establishment media come out and blame Trump, with a big low information segment of the American people going along with that ridiculous partisan political claim.

# 5; At least, Obie and Peanuts were, (by hook or crook in the Won’s case), elected according to law. Biden is merely an illegal plant who doesn’t qualify being called president. The sooner we boot him and his handlers out, the sooner we can see normalcy.

This action by the Potatodent will undoubtedly motivate Murkowski to cozy up to the Potatodent's 6 gazillion dollar infrastructure pogrom!

How is this legal? The oil exploration companies have valid contracts. Nowhere does the Constitution give the President the authority to void contracts. The Republican Party and Alaska Governor Dunleavy should file suit and seek an immediate restraining order

Xiden is destroying America's sovereignty. Well, actually his handlers are. Do you think this latest hack on our meat supply is an accident? Leftists hate oil, meat, and natural gas. So look for an attack on the natural gas grid. But that won't happen until it's cold. So look for an attack on our electric grid. If you need air conditioning, you need to suffer. And besides, when it's really hot, elderly people need A/C. This administration wants to reduce the elderly population.

Obama wanted the price of gas to increase to $8 per gallon. He just did not want it to increase all at once. He said that in one of his screeches. His wish is coming true and eventually his dream will be realized. It does not matter that the price of fuel affects the price of necessities like food, heating during the winter, clothing, etc., but hey, Trump is gone. Thanks democrats, Hollywood and activist media.
