The Federal Aviation Authority announced on Tuesday that it dealt an airline passenger a $10,500 fine for refusing to cover his nose with his mask and allegedly intimidating a flight attendant.
The FAA said in a press release that flight attendants on an Allegiant Air flight from Utah to Arizona repeatedly told the passenger to cover his nose and mouth with a mask, however the passenger immediately “moved it off of his nose after the flight attendant walked away.” Flight attendants then told him they would have to file a disturbance complaint, however the passenger “argued” and “claimed that it was fine just over his mouth.”
I see no reason why anyone would patronize these airlines anymore. To hell with them. Flying as a general experience pretty much sucked before COVID, now you also have to contend with the maskholes pushing some science that has been proven to be crap over and over.
Starve the airlines. Let them go bankrupt. They will stop whoring for FedGov when their bottom line is affected.

#2 - I think it boils down pretty simply to: Our side plays by the rules, theirs doesn't. We lose because we will not roll in the mud where our enemy lives.

There are many studies that say masks do not stop a virus. A virus is 1/millionth of an inch in dimension. A mask is incapable of stopping it either from being inhaled or exhaled. Case dismissed on appeal.

How in the name of all that is holy can the FAA fine anyone for anything? This is just wrong and should be dealt with in the courts.

This is the jackboot of an oppressive government coming down on the neck of the individual for pure political reasons. If the FAA are so darn concerned with air quality and the spread of the virus, they would mandate that the airlines do a much better job with air filtration and cleaning. Shouldn’t they be required to use whatever method they can find to keep the air as clean as possible. I will not fly because I refuse to wear a mask. It inhibits my ability to breathe which I consider something that is essential to my good health. Once again, government tyranny rears its ugly head.

Correct, #4. The reason Trump is so hated by the left is that he is the first Reublican in years not to make the mistake of bringing a knife to a gun fight.

So how did the FAA get authority to issue tickets to passengers??? Over reach for sure....just another reason I haven't flown for many years...nothing like getting stuffed in an aluminum tube with a couple hundred other people to ruin your day...

As my dearly departed Grandma said when asked about why she took Greyhound to visit her 11 children and 121 grand/great grandchildren all over America rather than flying. "If the good Lord had meant for me to get there that quick, he would have started me out closer".

I have given up flying. Even in better times, flying was miserable. I will not pay to be abused. I use alternate transportation when I can or stay home (cars, trains and buses). I remember train travel when I was a small child. You could view the scenery from the window, get up and walk around, eat, sleep and you were close to the ground.

The last time I flew commercial was from DFW to PHX in 1995 to attend the NRA convention. I’m not afraid of flying, as I have made over five hundred skydives in the last twenty years and crewed helicopters in the Marine Corps (Corpse) prior to that. It’s simply that the government and the airlines have made flying a humiliating ordeal. If I cannot reach my destination by car, I don’t go.

Is TSA going to fine Jon F. Cary, who by the way served in Viet Nam, for not wearing a mask while going thru security? Why do I think the answer will be "no."

This is insanity. The FAA is funded by our taxes, and this action is pure tyranny. We have to hope the Judicial Branch can right wrongs like this one, but I have my doubts.

As others have mentioned these 'fines' are levied by Letter agencies without any debate in a court.
The FAA, EPA, OSHA, etc. Un-elected bureaucrats just feathering their own nests.

The adult passenger agreed to the rules when he purchased his ticket. The plane is the airline's property, leased or owned. The airline should be able to impose mask rules if it chooses. If the passenger didn't like it, he should not have purchased the ticket.
And I hate wearing a mask. But I've been willing to wear one if that's the rule on the property I'm occupying. You can argue all day that the masks are not helpful, but when the Dr. Fauci types insist that the mask is effective, the airlines have to go with what the Fauci's and the FAA require.
That's not a hill I'm willing to die on. Protesting by pulling the mask down from the nose is childish.
